Chapter Fifteen

I was running, running as fast as my legs would take me through this dark scary forest. I didn't know exactly who or what was after me but I knew I had to get out of here.

I stumbled on a couple of tree trunks falling hard as I pushed my hands out to help my fall. My ankle was throbbing and I couldn't get back up to run and that's when I saw a dark black figure in the shadows, it started walking closer to me as I began pulling myself back until I hit a tree. I can't get up and now there was two figures..

"Help!" I shouted and shouted until the figures approached me I could just see who they were out of the corner of my eye. My father and Matt. They both smirked at me an evil grin and started laughing, Matt started calling me all the names under the sun such as slut, w***e, telling me I'm worthless and my father stood there an watched as Matt started hitting me, as Matt backed away my father came in closer "your a worthless thing for a daughter, I've never liked you since you were born. It's all your fault. no wonder my wife treats you the way she does." He started hitting me and I screamed out crying. Begging him to stop.

"Sage wake up!" I heard a voice shout and I jumped up into a sitting position and held my chest I couldn't breathe, my anxiety has defiantly gotten worse since I saw Matt. "Are you okay?" Norman looked at me worried.

I looked at him then to the door where just about everyone who stayed the night before stood watching all with worried expressions, I just nodded as I tried to calm my breathing.

"Just a bad dream, sorry guys. Go back to bed." I sighed and everyone didn't say anything but walked away closing the door behind them.

"Sage." I looked over to Norman who was right by my side, I knew he wanted me to tell him about the dream but I just told him it was about Matt an my dad giving me abuse and that I'm fine because he was there.

I lay back down and heard Norman shuffle to hug me "I need to piss, I'll be right back" I nodded and he kissed my forehead an left.

A couple seconds later the door opened and closed but locked behind him, I had my eyes closed "that was quick" I said out loud to Norman

"yes, I'd think so too" I heard a voice say that wasn't Normans. I felt my body tense as I recognised the voice. It was Matt.

"H-how did you find me?" I stuttered getting up off the bed.

"I'm magic." He smirked at me and started walking closer

"don't come any closer" I shouted at him. He rolled his eyes and we heard footsteps coming up the stairs and knocking on the bedroom door and the person quickly talking to Norman

"Norman!!" I screamed as Matt started coming forward again.

"Yeah?" I heard him shout back but I couldn't reply as matts hand had a tight grip over my mouth. I bit him and screamed

"help!"

I heard footsteps running towards the door and then handle turning but he couldn't get in

"Sage. What's going on?" I heard Rooker shout through the door.

I grabbed the nearest thing I could to me which turned out to be a lamp and smashed it over matts head! He let go off me and I jumped over the bed almost landing on my face an headed to the door only to have a set of hands grab me

"don't worry boys I'll look after her." Matt chuckled.

NORMANS PROV.

I heard a males voice behind the door with Sage. Matt? But how?

"Matt! Let her go!" I shouted throw the door as Rooker was taking a run and jump to the door as Andrew ran up the stairs to see what was happening

"Norman please!" I heard Sage start to sob! Andy looked worried.

"call the police! It's Matt!" I said whispering and the door flung open the third time Rooker had smashed his shoulder into it. I saw the fear in Sage's eyes. It almost killed me!

"Let her go, you don't want to do this!" Rooker said as he stood up. I kept looking at Sage.

"you okay?" I asked looking at her and she just looked back, she didn't say a word. I knew this was killing her inside after her dream that she just had! Andrew then appeared behind us as we heard sirens coming towards the house.

He dragged Sage over to the window and looked outside "damn it. Sage why did you have to do this!" He shouted in her ear turning her around to face him, she was brought to the ground by a punch letting out a scream as he did so.

Me and Rooker both ran at Matt pinning him to the ground as I lay punches on him.

SAGE'S PROV.

I lay on the ground with my hand cupping my cheek as I felt a hand on my shoulder I flinched and turned to see Andy helping me up and bringing me into a hug so I wouldn't see Norman beating the crap out of Matt.

I tried keeping my tears in but a few escaped "Rooker keep him down, Norman get your ass over here!"

I heard Andy say out loud as I had my head in his chest quietly sobbing and the next thing I knew there was two arms around my waist pulling me into him.

"It's okay, you're safe now. I promise" the words came out as a whisper into my ear. "Come on let's leave this room." Norman then said next I nodded "don't let him go!" He snarled at Rooker and Andy and they both nodded as the police started running up the stairs and into the room.

I stood in the hallway with Norman wrapping his arms around me as Matt was being pulled out of the room in cuffs. He didn't even look at me which I was glad of but he did speak

"I'll get you." He snarled at me and the cop pulled him and told him to shut up.

I was then welcomed by the familiar face of the two cops from down at the station "Sage are you okay?" One looked at me and handed me a ice pack I nodded "I'll need to ask you some questions." The other said and again I nodded "Mr reedus my co-worker here need to speak to Sage alone as I need to speak to you."

I felt Normans hand wrap around me tighter "it's okay." I said as I pulled a fake smile. He could tell it was fake.

"Tell me what happened exactly Sage" the police man who handed me my ice pack said and I told him everything including the dream I had before which is why I'm kinda shooken up about it.

He put down notes in his note book for everything he would need. "Okay Sage, your safe now and you can return to your own apartment and go back to work, but I'll have to give you a call in a couple days as you might have to go to court. I promise you that Matt will be locked away for a long time, this prison having 4 walls and no window with no company to help him escape. Oh and a man named Damon turned himself in this morning."

I nodded as Norman walked back in with the police officer. He opened his arms when he saw me and I ran into them. "We can go back to the complex" I said to him and he smiled at me.

"Andy I'm sorry about the lamp I'll pay for a new one." I said packing the rest of my things.

"it's okay Sage, I understand and I never actually liked that lamp anyway" he chuckled and I just nodded.

He helped me take my things downstairs and into his car, my car was at the complex and he drove Normans bike last night, so I was riding with Norman.

"Ready?" A voice asked and I turned to see Norman smiling at me and I nodded and walked over to him as he snaked his arm around my waist we started heading down the stairs and outside where Andy was already at the gate leaving and we got onto the bike and followed.

I know it sounds weird but I'm glad I'm going back to the complex and back to work, I've been here for over two months. I've missed my kitty. But I don't want to have to sleep in a bed by myself now. I sighed as we started driving off.

We arrived at the complex and my eyes automatically saw my car. "oh my.." i said jumping off the bike before Norman could even stop. I ran over to my car and lay on the bonnet hugging it "i missed you so much baby" i sighed as i felt arms pull me up

"oh i missed you too" i giggled as Steven pulled me into a hug

"you know i seen you last night thought right?" I smiled hugging him back.

"hey get your hands off my girl." Norman said getting off the bike and i looked at him shocked at what he just said and i heard people laugh.

I snapped out of my trance and looked over to see everyone; Melissa, Jeffery, Chan, Andy, Lauren and Emily as Steven stood with his arm around me and Norman was approaching us. Norman went to grab my waist but i dodged him and ran over to Lauren and Emily hugging them both.

I hadnt seen Emily in ages, i missed her she was like my little sister.

Frank pulled up and we all looked at him "sage?" he said standing out of his car

"whats up franklyn?" i replied and heard people chuckle.

" a word. now" i sighed and walked over i looked at him confused "you start back at work tomorrow, i want you to settle back in to the complex tonight." i nodded.

"was that it?" i asked

"yeah and im glad your okay." i smiled and walked over to where everyone was standing, i stood by Norman who wrapped his arm around my waist and i just smiled, listening to the conversation that was happening.

"im working tonight" Melissa said

"yeah me too" Steven pipped in.

"Sage when are you back at work?" Chan asked me curiously

"tomorrow, and i can not wait!" i replied getting excited "im going upstairs to check on Boots" i said to Norman who nodded and i walked away and headed up the stairs to my apartment.

The door was already open, it was held open with a shoe. Must have been Rooker, i smiled and walked in to find my little kitty sleeping on the sofa, i walked over and picked her up disturbing her she let out a meow and noticed it was me and started purring i smiled as i lay on the sofa with her on my chest purring away.

I was suddenly woken up with a loud bang coming from my open door and Andy bursted in "jesus Sage, what do you have in this bag?" he said putting my bag down

"rocks" i smirked at him and he just chuckled

"yeah okay then, im going, gotto head to work. I nodded and he left i got up and picked my case up from the floor only to put it back down.

Jesus it was heavy, what the hell was in it?! I started dragging the bag along to ground with the strap pulling it with all my wieght until i heard someone burst out laughing, my head shot up to see Norman,

"not funny, this damn thing is heavy! what the hell did you pack in my bag? Andy's whole house?" i stopped standing up right and he walked over and picked the back up without any problem i sighed

"where do you want it?" my room i pointed behind me as my phone started ringing i had left it on the sofa i ran over and answered it.

"hello?"

"hey Sage, hows it going i heard about everything. I'm sorry what dad did to you, he told me and mother and she started laughing and making jokes so i packed my stuff and told them to go screw themselves.." the voice laughed

"Wait! What?! Ian please tell me your kidding me right! who are you staying with?" i asked getting panicked at my little brothers stupidity

"im staying with a friend for a day or two then gonna find somewhere else." he replied as much as a pain in the ass he was i cared for him.

"no your not, wait a minute, let me call you back okay?" i said and hung up before he could reply i heard voices in the hall and one belonged to Steven.

I opened the door "hey Steven, i need a favour?" i asked

"shoot at me" he replied easily.

"can i borrow your laptop for 5 minutes just to purchase something. "

"sure, hold on ill grab it" i nodded as he disapeared and brought a laptop out.

"what happened to yours?" he asked.

"it got broken in the apartment with what happened and i need to purchase plan tickets for my dumb ass little brother." i rolled my eyes and he nodded trying to follow what i was rambling about.

"okay, uh.. just give me it back tomorrow, im going to work so i wont need it tonight" i nodded and thanked him as i walked back into my apartment and saw Norman sitting on the sofa.

"there you are" he said smiling

"yeah hold on, need to purchase a plane ticket." i replied.

"wait. what for?!" he said.

"i need to go to scotland and pick my brother up" he was too young to ride on his own with him only being 16. It was 18 to ride out this far without an adult.
