Walking home was, as usual, such a delight. I couldn’t wait to see what Nia had planned for her weekend. When I had suggested she invite her friends over, she had jumped at the opportunity. It was something she had always wanted but since her being a wolf had been such a big secret, none of her friends had been allowed to visit. Except for Joyce. Now that the other two friends knew about her, it would be the first time she would have a get together at her house. I was happy for her and the addition of Cheryl was actually welcome. I pushed open the front door to find the group in the sitting room, chatting away. Nia looked over at me and I smiled at her before heading into the kitchen for a drink of water.
