Adalinda finished her breakfast and walked to the balcony. She enjoyed the early sunshines and inhaled the salty scent of the sea that she could see from the balcony. She looked around to spot the training grounds and the city around the Pack house. There were little kids hurrying to school, adults rushing to their jobs and elderly people enjoying their well deserved rest. There was a nice main square not too far from the Pack house, with a huge ring for bonfire in the middle of it. The houses were modern, but looked lovely and lively. A smile spread on Ada's face as she remembered of how they've met with Tase.
Adalinda was about to cook some dinner for herself and to burn a candle for Denise death's anniversary. She looked at the candles on top of the fireplace. Six in total. With a sigh she grabbed a small branch and was about to lit it with the fire from the fireplace when she heard aggressive snarling from outside. Adalinda grabbed her white hooded cape and rushed out to see a huge, gorgeous black wolf struggling for its life. Three other, bear sized wolves followed the black one ready to kill him. Adalinda's glance met with the wolf's amber eyes. She let her suffocating scent to surround them and approached the injured wolf. Her lavender eyes shined like two fireflies in the middle of the night. The wolves started whimpering and Ada's mouth curved to a smile as she started freezing their feet and making them unable to see or hear anything. When they finally ran away, Ada checked the black wolf's wounds, she grabbed his legs threw him over her shoulders and took him inside. He lost lots of blood and was deeply asleep, but this was fortunate, considering his wounds. Ada disinfected a needle and stitched the deeper wounds after cleaning them, once the stitches were at their places she bandaged the wounds and pat the wolf's head.
- You have no idea how lucky you are to be alive. - Tase recovered quicker than she thought along with Timon. Adalinda heard the bell of the school and a gentle breeze caressed her face. You made it little wolf. I can't wait to see what else you'll accomplish, but this time, I'll be at the front row. Ada walked back inside, closed the door and skipped to Tase's wardrobe. She couldn't walk around in the same clothes as yesterday. She put on a black t-shirt, grabbed the leggings she got last day, and tied the t-shirt with a belt she found.
This will do until I find Izzy and ask for more clothes! Although, Tase asked me to stay here, but what could go wrong? - with these thoughts, Ada walked out of Tase's room and closed the door behind herself carefully. She walked along the pretty illuminated corridors. There were dark wooden doors to the left and right, just like in any modern apartment building. She shook her head with a smile. I'll have to get used to this design... Adalinda followed Izzy's scent and soon find their room. When she was about to knock on the door, someone grabbed her arm and yanked her to the ground. The door opened to the noise and when Izzy saw Ada on the floor and a guard snarling at her, she simply threw one of her slippers at his head. The guard stopped snarling and looked at Izzy.
- Stay back, I was sent to guard you. - he said and Adalinda pointed at herself with wide eyes.
- From me? I know that Timon is not very fond of me, but I find this a little exaggerated. - that moment Tase and Timon rushed up on the stairs and Tase's eyes darkened with anger when he saw Ada sitting on the floor and Izzy armed with the other slipper. His glance directed at the guard who swallowed hard when he recognized his mistake. He offered a hand to Ada to help her up and apologized nonstop.
- I'm sorry miss! I didn't recognize you yet! - Ada got up and pat his shoulder.
- No biggie! You just did your job! - he felt a little at ease until his eyes caught the Alpha's angry gaze. He bowed and apologized to Tase as well. He was furious, but Timon sent the guard away quickly.
- Sorry, dude, this was my fault. I asked him to take care of Izzy and didn't take in consideration that there might be some of the guards who haven't seen Adalinda yet. Tase grabbed Timon's collar and growled.
- What would've happened if she got seriously hurt? - he asked and before Timon could answer, Tase's nostrils got bigger and his arm started to ache. He released Timon and gently, but without hesitation held Adalinda's arm. A drop of blood rolled down from under the sleeve of the t-shirt. Tase rolled the sleeve up to see a fresh cut on Ada's shoulder.
- Oh s**t Linlin! - Izzy said and rushed in the room, she came out with her viols.
- Wait a sec, I might still have of that potion. - Ada chuckled.
- Can you all stop? It's just a small scratch! - Ada smiled but Tase frowned. Liar, I can feel how it stings. He held Ada's hand and guided her to the lifts.
- Where are we going? - she asked and he smiled.
- We will visit Camille and her daughter Sage. They are the Pack doctors. - Adalinda's face lightened up.
- The kind witch we met yesterday? That's nice. I didn't know she had a daughter! - Tase chuckled at Ada's excitement. While they went down with the lift he mind-linked Timon.
"- We will talk about what happened later.
*- Understood Alpha. I'm sorry.
" - I understand the intentions. Don't worry. - they arrived to the ground floor and turned to the right on the wide corridors. Soon they arrived to a separated place, Ada could smell the scent of herbs, medicine and slightly blood. Before Tase knocked on the door he turned to Ada and said.
- Ada, Camille's daughter Sage, is a hybrid. You might have never met someone like her, so please, try not to stare too much.
- Okay! - Ada nodded and Tase knocked on the door. From the inside they heard Camille's kind voice.
- Please, come in!
