Tase danced with Adalinda enjoying the little calm while Sabrina went to change her dress. Ada was like a vision. Her skirt, made of light material, glided elegantly with every movement and her eyes reflected the lights of the ballroom like jewels. Tase's heart skipped a beat and he found himself literally forgetting to breathe at times, as if that would slow down time. Adalinda's graceful, small hands fit so well in his, as if they had been carved by the Goddess to fit just right. This made Tase wonder. Maybe it wouldn't be such a crazy risk after all choosing her as my chosen mate. Titan echoed in his mind, not to deceive the Goddess' whishes, while Tase pulled Adalinda slightly closer to him. She didn't hesitate a second to almost snuggle to him. Her sweet scent filled his nose and for a split second, when she looked into his eyes, Tase felt at home. Truly at home.

- Ada... - he started and she waited woth a huge smile. But before he could've continued, Sabrina stormed to them and with a, not so polite way, she turned to Adalinda.

- Weren't my cousin enough, now you are trying to seduce an other man? - she asked loud so many other guests turned to their attention.

- This b***h cannot be real! She just embarrassed herself, yet she is here again! - Izzy said and Tim grinned at the comment, but what none of them expected was Sage. She sent her full glass of champagne down with one go and mumbled under her nose.

- I've heard that these fancy balls usually have live music and a show dinner... But I don't see the dinner anywhere. Disappointing. - Hugo blushed at the rude comment but Izzy smiled proudly at the sass Sage showed. She dramatically took Timon's handkerchief and wiped off her non-existent tears before she turned to her mate and said.

- They just grow up too fast! - she leaned to his embrace and Timon with faked pain on his face gently caressed Isadora's hair. Sage elbowed them in their side and hissed.

- Shush! I cannot hear the show! - they mimicked zippers closing their mouths and turned back as discreetly as an elephant to watch the show. In the meantime they saw Tase roll his eyes and Sabrina poking Adalinda's chest. She smiled at Sabrina sweetly and grabbed her hand looking with sympathy at the young lady. Adalinda pulled Sabrina closer and she whispered.

- Don't feel bad lady Sabrina! Your titties might be smaller but many love them! - that was the loss of Izzy. She spit her drink out at Ada's comment and praised her friend mentally, although she truly believed, Linlin had no ill intentions saying those words. She was just, Linlin. Sabrina's eyes darkened and she lifted her hand to slap Adalinda, Tase growled dangerously bit before he stepped between them Adalinda grabbed Sabrina's other hand as well and she smiled looking at the musicians.

- The lady whishes to dance! - she said, they didn't know what to do, but that moment a familiar voice echoed at the ballroom.

- You've heard the young lady! Play! - the prince returned and ordered the musicians to play even if he was well aware of how embarrassing this was for his cousin. At least this stupid chick won't be bothering me for a while. - he thought and drank his champagne slowly while he watched with sparkling eyes the struggle of Sabrina. Who, for some miraculous reason, couldn't let Adalinda's hands go. During their dance Sabrina hissed between her teeth.

- Drop the act b***h! You've already showed me the white of your teeth! - Adalinda smiled, but this time, her smile sent a shiver down Sabrina's spine. Even her wolf curled into a ball in the back of her mind and Adalinda said in a colder voice than usual.

- Come on sweety! I haven't even started! - she said widening her smile and showing her long canines for Sabrina.

- What the f**k are you?! - she asked trembling and Ada pulled her closer. The fragile girl's strength was incomparable with a werewolf's. Despite her lineage, Sabrina couldn't move away from Adalinda and she started weighing the weight of her decision and their consequences.

- Someone you don't want to piss up. I suggest you to back off while I'm saying it nicely. - the song came to an end and Adalinda hugged Sabrina cracking her back and the lady's eyes widened at her cousin with fear. She quickly left the ball excusing herself while Ada skipped back to her friends. Isadora smiled and hugged her.

- Well done Linlin! - she said and the usually unbothered Timon also grinned at her.

- I have to admit, you put on quiet a show! - Ada smiled at him happily and said.

- I had assistance! - they all laughed and enjoyed the rest of the ball together. Before they left, they bowed again to the King and Adalinda looked deeply into his eyes. She smiled at him and her heart beat fat. Finally! Finally my time had come!

After they arrived back to Tase's territory everyone from their little group felt a lot more at ease. Adalinda went to have a bath, she loved playing with the bubbles, so Tase made sure to ask her bath made with a special bubble bath. Before Sage and Izzy left as well Tase turned to Izzy and said.

- Thanks for helping today. I really hated them together dancing like an idle couple. - Izzy looked confused at him.

- I didn't do anything, neither to the prince to stumble nor to that whiny wrench. - obviously speaking of Sabrina. She turned to Sage and asked.

- Did you do anything? - Sage was even more confused than before.

- I also thought you did that.

- And I thought you did it. - Timon's eyes jumped from his mate to the babysitter and back at his Alpha.

- If it wasn't Izzy's doing, nor Sage's, it could've been a lucky incident! - Tim said and Tase shook his head.

- Once maybe, but so many times? - Timon shrugged and the little group headed to their apartments without further questioning the situation. They were too exhausted after the long drives and the party. Tase also went back to his room, but he noticed the door was open. Titan was cautious as they slowly entered the room. He sniffed the air and immediately relaxed. Tase walked to his bedroom and saw the tiny figure standing on the balcony. He walked to her and hugged her gently from behind. Ada chuckled and snuggled to his chest.

- Your skin is always so warm.-she whispered and Tase felt his heart fasten again.

- It's because of Titan. - he said and Adalinda turned to face him. She got on her tip-toes and stroke the back of his ears.

- Good doggie!-Titan growled at the nickname but enjoyed the stroke while Tase felt his face getting hot.

- Aren't you sleepy? - he asked and Ada shrugged.

- Not really. This ball was nice but it wasn't fun. - she said and Tase looked confused.

- I thought you enjoyed it. Dancing with the prince, with me, meeting new people. - she pouted making her look even more adorable in her long, soft, white strapped, pink pj's.

- Those people were mean. I only enjoyed one thing. - she said and Tase looked at her curiously.

- What was that? - Ada got on her tip-toes again and gave a peck on Tase's face, with a light blush she said.

- I enjoyed dancing with my prince. - Tase looked a bit lost but Titan immediately cleared the situation for him

-" She is talking about you, you moron! - Tase pulled Adalinda closer and did something he wanted to do in the past ten years. He gently grabbed her face with one of his hands. Compared to his palm her face was so petite, that his fingers reached the back of her head. He leaned down and sealed his lips against Ada's. She gasped into his mouth in surprise but she recovered from the shock almost immediately locking her arms around his big neck and giving herself into the kiss.
