Complicated little fairy

Sage turned out to be the perfect company for Adalinda. Titan's concern notwithstanding, it was particularly good that a large part of the pack was distant from Sage. Adalinda was able to explore the town surrounding the pack house in the following days and enjoy the freedom without Tase having to worry about her safety. The days passed peacefully. Tase and Timon prepared for the annual Alpha Ball and as promised, the official letter arrived, in which the King specifically requested Tase to accompany his niece to the ball. Tase, after reading the letter, tore it into tiny shreds in a rage and stared into the distance, opening his office window. Timon stood beside him and patted his shoulder empathetically.

- You know dude, it could be a lot worse...

- How? - Tase asked in a painful whining.

- Like if Sabrina was a spook in a mine. I know she's unbearable, but at least she's pretty. - Tase groaned and noticed that Sage was standing outside of the school.

- What is she doing there? - he asked out loud and Timon noticed where his friend's glance wandered.

- Why don't you take a little break? Go for a walk, visit your fairy and stuff like that. - Timon suggested and he didn't have to say it twice. Tase rushed out of the office and in the office door a whistling Izzy appeared.

- Where is he running in such a hurry? - she asked and Timon grinned at his pretty, little mate. She wore a dark green, long skirt and a puffy white blouse. Her usual viols all around her waist. In these days, Timon get to know Isadora a little better, but he couldn't wait to get to know all of her.

- He got bad news and needed a little change of air. - Timon said and Izzy walked to him swaying her hips. Timon's eyes got fixed on her figure and he felt his desire building up. But when Izzy stood infront of him instead of a kiss she handed him a stack of papers.

- This is all I know about Linlin. - she said and Timon growled. He grabbed Izzy's waist and pulled her in for a kiss before he checked the papers. They took a seat on the sofa in the corner of Tase's office and Timon read the documents.

- So, you only knew her for the last five years. - Izzy nodded.

- Exactly, and I've noticed a few strange things, but I always thought she just might be weirdly lucky.

- What do you mean? - Tim asked and Izzy sat straighter facing her mate. Tim's green eyes shined with curiosity and worry for his friend. Izzy felt like she was betraying Adalinda, but she also wanted to finally figure her out. They've spent five years together, she knew everything of her, yet Izzy knew so little of Ada.

- Remember when I told you about that incident when we met for the first time? - Timon nodded and he wanted to forget those thoughts of his mate being in danger.

- Linlin told me to cast a spell and it will work.

- Yeah and it did. - Timon said and Izzy smiled a little blue.

- It couldn't work Tim. I'm really talented to make potions and poisons of all kind, but my innate magical powers are very limited. I couldn't do that rain back than. I think I just wanted to believe that I did it. But now that I've thought it over, I think it was Linlin who stopped the fire from spreading and she was the one who extinguished the fire around me as well. - Timon looked pensive.

- Could she be a witch as well? - Izzy shook her head.

- We can feel when the other person is from our kind just like you can smell other shifters. She is definitely not a witch.

- What else could she be? Maybe a fairy in reality? - Timon asked and smiled on the idea since he nicknamed Ada as Tase's little fairy. But Izzy shook her head again.

- Although many things point at that she is a fairy, I just don't think so. I've met other fairies but none of them was so...

- Intimating. The word you are looking for sweety, is intimidating.

- Exactly. You know, fairies are creatures with human appearance, gifted with magical powers, and a penchant for trickery. But Ada as tricky... I mean, she is not an i***t but she seems too naive and kind to trick anyone.

- I know what you mean. But her scent, and the overwhelming sensation she can give sometimes, specially when she must protect herself or others is simply terrifying.

- Well she is definitely not a vampire, nor a fairy, might be some kind of hybrid but let's leave this topic for another day! - Timon said and held Izzy's hands.

- Would you join me for the upcoming Ball as my mate officially? - Izzy blushed and laughed.

- That was a really hard change of topic! - Timon shrugged.

- I knew that if I catch you out of guard you'll have to answer something. - Izzy kissed him gently.

- I'd love to accompany you! But, there is a little problem.- Tim raised and eyebrow and Izzy's steel blue eyes twinkled playfully.

- I have nothing to wear! - Timon laughed and reached to his pocket, he pulled his bank card out and handled it to Izzy.

- Ask Sage to take you to the nearby human city, they have more variety. - Izzy hugged Timon and took the card with a big smile.

- Thanks! I'll find something alluring that will make everyone jealous of you for having such a sexy mate! And who knows... I might buy something only for us to see too! - Timon swallowed hard and Izzy left him to find Adalinda and Sage.

In the meantime, Tase approached Sage and gently poked her shoulder. Sage turned around and lifted her little hands ready to attack.

- Whoa! Easy tiger! - Tase said and Sage blushed slightly.

- Sorry Alpha! This new task of mine keeps me on the edge all the time. - she said a bit tiredly.

- Why?

- It is hard to keep her alive Alpha! I mean she is freaking cute, but in these last days, she almost got stung by bees, she stumbled in her own feet and almost ranged a few ladies by simply existing. This is exhausting,! Also it makes me overthink my entire life for now! I'm just trying to find the cause why I've deserved such a punishment. - Sage thought . Tase looked at her surprised.

- This is weird, when she is around me she is clingy, but calm. - Sage laughed.

- Because she adores you Alpha! But she thinks of me as a friend! There is a big difference between these two relationships. - Tase followed Sage's glance. He noticed Ada sitting between the pups during their lesson in the school.

- Em... Sage... What is she doing there? - Tase asked and Sage sighed.

- We played with the pups during their break and they pulled her in with them. When I tried to call her out she didn't even hear me. Lin is just staring at the whiteboard and listening to this history teacher. But at least I can rest a little.

"- Why is she so fixated on history lessons?

- I don't know Titan. Maybe she missed lots of things out between living in the forest and her studies back in school.

" - Yeah she was pretty young when we first met her. But hey, , didn't she say that she had a carriage accident after she got kidn*pped?

- She did, yes. And?

" - Since when are people still using carriages for that kind of things? I mean there are cars and many other modern vehicles.

- Could it be that she didn't know what a car is? - Tase asked and Titan growled a bit.

" - People are not using carriages at least for 50 years around this area.

Just how long have you been alone in that forest Ada? - Tase asked himself and they heard the bell ring. Ada came out and skipped to Tase. She jumped into his arms hugging him and said with a bright smile.

- Hi! What's up? - Sage looked around and sighed when she noticed the angry stares directed at Adalinda. At that moment Izzy arrived.

- Hey girls! Guess what I got?! Oh, hi Tase! - Tase put Ada down and nodded greeting Izzy.

- I'll have to go back to work, see you later? - Tase turned to Ada and she looked at him sadly but nodded.

-Yeah... - Izzy grabbed her arm and said.

- Come on cheer up! I got Timon's card and I need a dress for the Ball! So ladies, who is coming with me for shopping? - Sage took a deep breath and shut her eyes, imagining the troubles they can get into, but agreed. Tase heard what Izzy said and whispered to her before he left the chatty group.

- Get her something nice too if she wants to. - and handed his card to Izzy before he walked away.
