In the heart of a dense, mysterious forest lies a hidden world where myths and legends come to life. Logan Blackwood, a brooding shifter with a dark past, guards his pack's secrets fiercely. But when he rescues a spirited human, Lily Hart, from a near-fatal accident, his world is irrevocably changed.

Lily, a dedicated wildlife photographer, never believed in the supernatural—until she’s thrust into Logan’s enigmatic realm. When she suffers a serious injury and loses her memory, she finds herself in the care of the enigmatic Logan. As she struggles to piece together her past, she and Logan form an intense, undeniable bond. Despite their differences, their attraction grows deeper with every stolen glance and forbidden touch.

As passion ignites, they must navigate the perilous divide between their worlds, facing both external threats and the shadows of Logan’s past. But in a place where danger lurks behind every tree and the moon's phases dictate life and death, love is a risk neither can afford. Can Logan protect Lily from the darkness that hunts them both, or will their love be consumed by the night?

Chapter One - Into the Shadows
Lily Hart's fingers trembled with excitement as she adjusted the lens of her camera. The forest around her was a symphony of rustling leaves and distant animal calls, an orchestra she had grown to love over the years. She crouched low, hiding behind a large oak, her heart racing. She had heard rumors of rare wildlife in this part of the forest, and she was determined to capture them on film. The sun had just dipped below the horizon, casting long, eerie shadows. The air was cool, and the scent of pine was strong. She took a deep breath, feeling the thrill of the unknown. She lived for these moments, the thrill of the chase, the beauty of the wild. It was her escape, her sanctuary. As she waited in silence, a soft rustling caught her attention. She peered through her lens and saw a large, majestic wolf stepping into the clearing. Its fur was a dark gray, almost black, and its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light. Lily’s breath caught in her throat. This was no ordinary wolf. It was beautiful, powerful, and something about it seemed almost... human. She snapped a few photos, each click of the shutter echoing in the quiet dusk. The wolf’s ears twitched, and it turned its gaze toward her. For a moment, their eyes locked, and Lily felt a strange connection, as if the creature could see into her soul. Suddenly, a twig snapped behind her. Lily whipped around, but before she could react, a sharp pain shot through her head. The world spun, and she collapsed to the ground, her vision darkening. The last thing she saw was the dark figure of the wolf, standing protectively over her. Logan Blackwood watched the human woman from the shadows. He had sensed her presence long before she entered the clearing. His keen senses picked up the scent of her shampoo, the soft rustle of her clothes, the quickening of her heartbeat. She was different from the others who had ventured into his territory. She was not a hunter or a trespasser. She was... curious. When she collapsed, Logan’s instincts took over. He shifted back to his human form, his body rippling and changing in a matter of seconds. He knelt beside her, checking her pulse. She was alive, but unconscious. A deep cut on her forehead bled profusely. “Damn it,” he muttered, quickly ripping a piece of his shirt to staunch the bleeding. He had to get her out of here, and fast. The forest was no place for a vulnerable human at night. He lifted her effortlessly into his arms, marveling at how light she was. Her camera lay abandoned on the ground, and he grabbed it, slinging it over his shoulder. He needed to keep it safe for her. Somehow, he knew it was important. Lily awoke to the sound of crackling firewood and the scent of pine. Her head throbbed, and she groaned, trying to sit up. A strong hand gently pushed her back down. “Take it easy,” a deep voice said. “You’ve had a nasty fall.” She blinked, her vision slowly clearing. A man sat beside her, his dark hair tousled, his eyes a piercing blue. He was ruggedly handsome, with a chiseled jaw and a look of concern etched on his face. “Where am I?” she asked, her voice weak. “You’re safe,” he replied. “My name is Logan. I found you in the forest. You were hurt.” Lily touched her forehead, feeling the bandage there. “I remember... a wolf. There was a wolf.” Logan’s eyes flickered with something she couldn’t quite read. “Yes, there are wolves in these woods. You’re lucky I found you before they did.” She frowned, trying to piece together her fragmented memories. “My camera...” “Right here,” Logan said, handing it to her. “It’s safe.” Relief washed over her, and she managed a small smile. “Thank you. I’m Lily.” “I know,” he said, surprising her. “Your ID was in your bag.” Lily glanced around, realizing they were in a small, cozy cabin. “Where are we?” “My home,” Logan said. “You needed help, and this was the closest place.” She tried to sit up again, and this time, he helped her. “Thank you, Logan. I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t found me.” “You shouldn’t be out there alone,” he said, his tone serious. “It’s dangerous, especially at night.” Lily nodded, feeling a mix of gratitude and curiosity. “I was trying to photograph wildlife. I’ve heard there are rare animals in this forest.” Logan’s expression softened slightly. “There are. But you need to be careful. This forest holds many secrets.” She looked into his eyes, feeling a strange pull toward him. “Why did you help me?” Logan hesitated, as if considering his words carefully. “Because you needed it. And because... you’re different.” “Different how?” she asked, intrigued. He shook his head. “It doesn’t matter. You should rest. We’ll talk more in the morning.” Lily lay back down, her mind swirling with questions. Who was this mysterious man? And what secrets did this forest hold? As she drifted off to sleep, she couldn’t shake the feeling that her life had just taken a turn into the unknown. As Lily slept, Logan sat by the fire, his mind racing. He had broken his own rules by bringing her here, but there was something about her he couldn’t ignore. She was a mystery, a puzzle he felt compelled to solve. He glanced at her sleeping form, knowing that their worlds were about to collide in ways neither of them could have imagined. And as the moonlight filtered through the cabin’s windows, he vowed to protect her, no matter what. Because in the depths of the forest, love and danger are often one and the same. And Logan was bound by both.
