Chapter Ten: New Friend

Ten o'clock in the morning when Gabriel woke up suddenly because of his ringtone. Since Gabriel is still sleepy he chose to sleep again but to his surprise, his phone was ringing again. Even though Gabriel was still sleepy he decided to answer the call while his eyes are still closed. Since he knew that his sleep will be disturbed again if he didn't answer it.

"Hello, who's this?" Gabriel said in a hoarse voice.

"Omg! Don't tell me you forgot to pick me up here at the airport?" The girl said on another line.

Gabriel opens his eye widely because of what he heard on the other line. With that, Gabriel gets up on his bed before answering the person who calls him. Then, he scratches his hair because he forgot that he was going to pick up his cousin at the airport.

"Sorry, Stacey. I forgot that I'm gonna pick you up today at the airport," Gabriel said in a hurry.

Stacey took a deep breath before answering Gabriel, her cousin. "You hurt me, cousin! Did you forget your gorgeous cousin? I can't believe it!"

Gabriel laughs real hard before answering Stacey. "Don't worry, I'll be fast. Just wait for me there."

"Okay," Stacey said on the other line.

After that, Gabriel puts down his phone on his table then he goes to the bathroom to take shower. Minutes have passed when Gabriel is done with his bath. In a flash of light, Gabriel put his clothes on and leave his room. With that, Gabriel didn't waste time and leave their house to pick up his cousin, Stacey, who will now study in their school. Aside from that, Stacey will be his classmate that's why Gabriel can't help himself but feel excited since he wants to see the reaction of his friend, Derick. After an hour, Gabriel arrived at the airport then a sweet smile plastered on his lips because he saw his cousin Stacey. With that, Gabriel walks in her direction with a smile plastered on his lips. Even though, Gabriel noticed that the girls are looking at him he chose to ignore them since he used to it.

"Finally, you're here!" Stacey said while grinning at Gabriel.

"Sorry, I'm late."

Instead of answering him, Stacey just nods her head at Gabriel. While Gabriel helps Stacey with her luggage. Since they are already hungry Gabriel and Stacey decided to eat their breakfast near the airport. When they arrive at the restaurant near the airport, Gabriel was shocked when he saw Serapina eating with a man. All of a sudden, Gabriel felt a little jealous since he saw how happy Serapina is. Aside from that, Gabriel was confused since he wants to know who is the man talking to Serapina.

"Hey, are you okay? Why are you looking at that girl?" Stacey asks Gabriel while creasing her eyebrows.

"I'm fine."

"Then, why are you still looking at her? Did you know her?"

Gabriel was going to answer his cousin when he was shocked because of a certain person. And what he was shocked the most is when Serapina suddenly hug him like it's her way of greeting. With that, Gabriel froze for a moment since he didn't know what to do if he's going to hug her also or he just let her hug him.

"Gabriel, you're here!" Serapina said while still hugging Gabriel.

Gabriel was cursing in his mind when he found out that he's also hugging Serapina. If someone will be looking at them they will think that they are in a relationship even though they are not.

"Yes, I'm picking up my cousin, Stacey. What about you? What are you doing here?" Gabriel asks Serapina.

Serapina smiles sweetly before answering Gabriel. "I'm here because I'm also picking up my cousin."

In a blink of an eye, Gabriel smiles widely because of what he heard from Serapina. Then, Serapina stops hugging Gabriel before looking at Stacey who is now confused about what's happening in front of her.

"Hello, I'm Stacey, Gabriel's cousin."

"Oh! I'm Serapina, Gabriel's friend and classmate."

"Nice to meet you, Serapina. By the way, can I get your number?" Stacey asks Serapina while smiling.

"Sure! Nice meeting you too, Stacey."

After exchanging their numbers Serapina bid goodbye to them since her cousin was waiting for her. When Serapina was gone, Stacey looks at Gabriel while her grin is plastered on her red lips. So that, Gabriel can't help himself but feel confused because of the expression of Stacey while looking at him.

"What?" Gabriel asks in a confused.

"Tell me the truth, is she the girl that you're talking about?" Stacey said to Gabriel while smiling.

Gabriel blushes a little before answering his cousin. "Yes! So, stop asking me!" Gabriel said while blushing.

Gabriel is confused again when Stacey is laughing real hard causing them to catch the attention of the other customers in the restaurant. After ordering their food they decided to eat them in the car since Gabriel was ashamed because of Stacey. Time has passed when they already arrived at Gabriel's house to their surprise they saw Serapina smiling at them. With that, Gabriel can't explain why he was happy seeing Serapina in their house. It feels like Gabriel was feeling contented seeing Serapina in their house.

"Serapina, what are you doing here?" Gabriel asks Serapina while holding his smile.

Instead of answering Gabriel, Serapina chose to smile at him. Gabriel didn't explain why but he feels like there are some butterflies on his stomach because of Serapina.

"You don't need to know, son. We just talk about something," Shiela said to his son, Gabriel.

"Are you sure, mommy?"

"Yes, son. So help your cousin with her luggage."

"Okay, mommy."

Even though Gabriel doesn't want to go he didn't have a choice since they saw that they are still talking softly. But, he can't deny the fact that he was happy because Serapina is in their house talking to his mother. Then, Gabriel found himself smiling while thinking about the gorgeous face of Serapina who was still talking to his mother.

"I didn't know that mommy and Serapina were close to each other," Gabriel said happily to himself.
