Chapter One: A Warm Family

One week has passed when Serapina was discharged to the hospital. As her second life, Rosette became Serapina Hemmingway, the heiress of the Multi-Billionaire Company in the Philippines. And she promised herself that she will get her revenge on the person who was bullying the owner of her new body. She knew that doing some revenge was wrong but she wants them to taste their own medicine. Aside from that, she still can’t believe that she’s still alive although in the body of another person. Since, she became a fallen angel, she still has a nightmare about what happened in her past life.

“Serapina, my daughter, are you hurt?” Lily asked to her daughter, Serapina.

“It’s okay, mommy. I’m already fine,” Serapina answered her mother, Lily.

“Are you sure, baby?” Lily asked her daughter again.

Instead of answering her mother, Serapina just hugged her while smiling from ear to ear. With that, her mother can’t stop laughing because of what she did. Lily thought that her daughter, Serapina, is like a kitten who was looking for the warmth of her mother. While, James, her husband is busy while driving their car. Serapina, can’t help herself but smile since it’s her first time to feel the warmth of a mother’s hug. Since, when she’s still an angel all she gets to her mother was a slap on her face.

“Mommy, where are we going?” Serapina asked her mother, Lily.

Lily smiled before answering her daughter. “We’re going to your grandparents since they already miss you.”

Serapina chose to smiled instead of answering her mother. She’s thankful because she has a memory of real Serapina, so that, she doesn’t need to be problematic in remembering her new family. Aside from that, she’s also still remembered her memories in her past life. There’s also one thing that she realized, the time in the mortal world is different in their kingdom. One hour has passed when they arrive at the mansion of her grandparents, Serapina didn’t know what she felt since it’s her first time to see her grandparents after a long stay in the hospital.

“Serapina, my granddaughter! Are you okay now? Tell grandmama if you still hurting, okay?” Mildred said to her granddaughter.

“I’m okay now, grandmama. I miss you so much,” Serapina said then hugged her grandmother, Mildred.

After that, the next one she hugged is her grandpapa who is smiling at her. Serapina can’t stop herself but to smile since she felt that she was loved by everyone. When they finished greeting each other, they decided to go inside to eat their lunch. Serapina, can’t deny that she’s amazed by the enormous mansion in front of her.

“Are you sure that it was an accident when you fell on the stairs to your school?” Arthur asked his granddaughter, Serapina.

“Don’t worry, grandpapa it was just an accident,” Serapina answered while smiling in front of her grandpapa.

Serapina, doesn’t want to lie to her grandpapa but she doesn’t want them to worry about her. Based on the memories of real Serapina, her, as a victim of bullying was a big secret to her family. So, she decided to lie, even though Serapina knew that it was a sin to them as an angel. After their wonderful lunch, they bid goodbye to her grandmama and grandpapa, since her parents have a business meeting in America tomorrow. An hour has passed when they arrived at their mansion, Serapina was a bit surprised when she saw a big banner that welcomes her. Then, Serapina saw her maids welcoming her with a smile on their face. Serapina can’t help but cry because she didn’t expect a warm welcome in her whole life when she was an angel.

“Welcome home, Lady Serapina,” the maids said in unison.

“Thank you for this effort,” Serapina said to her maids.

Since Serapina felt tired, she smiled at her maids before going to her room. While her parents are in their master’s bedroom to pack some clothes for their one-week business meeting in America. While Serapina was in her bedroom, she can’t help but to look at herself in the mirror. It’s just that, she can’t still believe that her soul will be transferred into the body of a weak girl. Serapina can’t help herself to hold her golden hair while looking at the mirror, in just a blink of an eye, she became a new person. But, Serapina can’t forget her hatred for those people who was betrayed her including her best friend in her past life.

Serapina took a deep breath before turning back in front of a body mirror. Then, she looked again in the mirror using her head only, hoping that maybe she has her wings. She closed her eyes while featuring her golden wings in her mind and with a wide eye, she was shocked by what she saw. Serapina can’t believe it but she still has her golden wings even though her soul was in a body of a weak girl. Since she was very happy because she still has her wings, a big smiled plastered to her lips. Then, Serapina spread her wings causing her to make some noise because of her some beauty product that dropped on the floor. After a minute, she heard a loud knock in front of her door.

“Lady Serapina, are okay there? I heard some noise while passing in front of your bedroom?”

“I’m okay, Ginger. Don’t worry about me,” Serapina said to Ginger, her maid.

“Okay, Lady Serapina. Just call me if you need anything.”

“Sure. Thank you for your concern.”

When Serapina was sure that her maid, Ginger was gone outside in her bedroom, she spread her wings again while looking in her body mirror, again. With a smile plastered on her face, she tried to fly inside her bedroom and she can say that it was the best day of her life. Serapina was thankful because her room is wide so that she can fly whenever she wants. Aside from that, she has a new family that loved her unlike her life when she was still an angel. Even though Serapina was confused because she still has her wings, she chose to forget that since she has a new life.

And, Serapina can’t wait to go back to her school since she knew that they will be confused since her personality has changed all of a sudden. Aside from that, it feels like, Serapina starting to like her new life as a normal person. Suddenly, she heard a knock again outside of her room, hoping that it’s her parents, she opened the door with a smile on her lips.

“Oh! Mommy, what’s bring you here?” Serepina asked her mother while smiling at her.

“We just want to bid goodbye to you. You know that I and your daddy has a business meeting in America. Are you sure that you’re okay now? Do you want bodyguards to accompany you to your school? Or, maybe a new maid?”

“Hahaha!” Serapina laughed sweetly in front of her mother before she answers. “Mommy! Don’t worry about me, I’m okay.”

Then, Serapina hugged her mother like she’s telling her that she’s gonna be okay without them. Serapina smiled widely when she saw her daddy walking in their directions. Just like what she did to her mommy, her daddy also hugged both of them causing her to feel loved again.

“I didn’t know, that it’s happy to be a normal person,” Serapina said to herself while still hugging her parents.
