Chapter Two: She’s Changed

Serapina was lying on her bed, when she heard her phone ringing. She creased her eyebrow when she saw who’s calling at her. And it was her studious best friend, Amor, her one true friend in her school. Even though, Amor was came from a poor family, it’s not a reason not to be friends with her. Aside from that, Amor is one of the scholars in their school so that she can study freely and contented.

“Hello, why did you call, Amor?”

“H-Hi. Can I ask a favor from you, Serapina?” Amor asked Serapina in the other line.

“Sure! What it is, Amor?”

“Can you accompany me to the Mall? Since you’re absent for one week, we do have a group presentation on Monday which is tomorrow. Don’t worry we’re in the same group.”

“Okay, I’m coming, wait for me there at your house.”

“Sure! Thank you, Serapina!” Amor said happily.

Serapina did not waste her time and changed her casual clothes to accompany her best friend, Amor. She chose to wear a light pink dress that suits her white skin. Then, she chose her branded bag and put her important things like her cellphone, wallet, and her face powder, before leaving her room. When she got down to their golden stairs, she immediately looked for her driver, Raul. Raul Bartolome, forty-five years of age, is their loyal driver for six years, so Serapina felt safe whenever she goes outside.

“Nanny, where’s Mr. Raul? Serapina asked Ginger, her maid.

“Oh! Lady Serapina, he’s outside cleaning the car. Why are you looking for Mr. Raul?” Ginger asked while holding a small rug.

“I’m going to the Mall but before that, we’re gonna pick up Amor in her house.”

“Noted, Lady Serapina. I’m going to tell him that you’re gonna go to the Mall together with your best friend, Amor,” Ginger said before going outside to look for Mr. Raul.

And then, Serapina chose to sit on their sofa in the living room while waiting for her driver. Thirty minutes have passed, when Mr. Raul showed up in front of her. Serapina shows her sweetest smile to her driver, Mr. Raul, before she stands up.

“Lady Serapina, the car is ready,” Mr. Raul said while bowing in front of her.

“Thank you, Mr. Raul!” Serapina said while smiling.

Then, she followed Mr. Raul outside their house, while the car is fully polished. Separina didn’t waste her time and hopped in the car. When she comfortably sitting at the back of the car, Mr. Raul starts the engine while the guard opened their gate.

“Mr. Raul, we go first to Amor’s house before going to the Mall,” Serapina said while looking at the window of the car.

“Yes, Lady Serapina.”

Again, both of them were filled with silence while Serapina decided to look outside in the window and she can’t help but to amazed because of what she saw. Serapina didn’t think that even a normal person they have the highest intelligence to build some enormous building. Minutes have passed when they saw Amor waiting for them outside her house. Then, Serapina immediately opened the window to wave to her best friend, Amor.

“Mr. Raul, stop the car! I saw her already,” Serapina said with a happy tone.

Instead of answering her, Mr. Raul parked the car in front of the house of Amor. While, Serapina excitedly opened the car’s door to greet her best friend, Amor. “Amor, come on!” Serapina said while smiling.

“Thank you, Serapina. Are you okay now? I’m sorry I didn’t visits you in hospital. My mother got sick so I’m the one who do her work,” Amor said with an apologetic face.

“Tsk! It’s okay, Amor. You don’t need to apologize, I understand you. By the way, what materials do we need to buy?” Serapina said while creasing her eyebrow.

“We need to buy some books that related to angels for our group presentation.”

“What do you mean? I can’t understand what are you trying to say, Amor. Why do we need a book about angels?” Serapina asked with a confused looked written on her face.

“That’s because we need to prove in our presentation that in past there’s an angel who lives here in our world before the human being.”

Serapina, got silent for a moment because she didn’t expect that the humans are studying about the angels in the past. Serapina smiles lightly before answering her best friend, Amor. “Don’t worry, they are real, even now, they still living peacefully.”

Amor got confused because of what she heard about Serapina. “What do you mean, Serapina? Is it true that they are real? Or, are you teasing me again?”

“Hahaha!” Serapina laughed a little bit before answering Amor. “Don’t mind me, Amor. I’m just teasing you.”

“I knew it! You’re just teasing me again, Serapina!” Amor said.

After their conversation, they arrived at the Mall to buy some books about angels. But, before they go to the bookstore, Serapina and Amor decided to eat their lunch since it’s already twelve-thirty in the afternoon. After having their lunch they go to the bookstore to buy some books for their presentation. While browsing some books, Serapina felt that there was staring at her and she didn’t wrong since she saw her other classmates, who’s the one bullied the real Serapina. Suddenly, Serapina saw Melody walking in her direction while looking at her from head to toe.

“Gosh! I can’t believe that you’re still alive?” Melody said while still looking at Serapina from head to toe.

“You can see me right? So, it means I’m alive!” Serapina said while raising her left eyebrow.

“What the! Are you answering me now?” Melody said while looking mad at her.

Instead of answering Melody, Serapina just walks away in front of her while holding some books that are related to their presentation. But, Serapina felt a hand on her shoulder, she didn’t bother to look since she knew who’s hand it is.

“Stop gripping my shoulder, Melody! I’m not here to fight with you, so stop being immature! Or, maybe you’re still a child who was always looking for a fight?” Serapina said in a cold tone.

She didn’t hesitate to answer Melody, since she’s not the real Serapina anymore. Even though her soul transferred in the body of Serapina, she can’t changed the fact that she’s still Rosette, one of the strongest warriors in their kingdom. And as a warrior angel, she didn’t scared of anybody who wants to fight with her. Since Serapina hates Melody because of what happened to the real owner of her body. Instead of fighting with Melody Serapina took a deep breath before facing again her classmates, Melody.

“Look, Melody, I’m not here to fight you. So stop being immature since we’re not a child anymore,” Serapina said with a problematic looked written on her face.

Serapina didn’t bother to wait for Melody’s answer and she turns her back once again. Serapina was thankful since Melody stops holding her shoulder. But, Serapina knew that this is not the last time, since she felt that Melody was planning something to harm her again. Then, the smile plastered on her face when she saw Amor waving at her while waiting at the line at the counter.

“Hey, are you okay? Did they hurt you again?” Amor asked with a concerned look.

“Hahaha!” Serapina laughed before answering her. “I’m okay, don’t mind them. They’re just immature brats who always looking for a fight.”

Amor got a little bit shocked since she expected that Serapina was quivering in fear because of Melody. But, Amor feels that Serapina was changed a little bit. Instead of questioning her, Amor chose to keep silent since she was happy because her best friend, Serapina was changing for good.
