Chapter Three: Trouble

Exactly, five in the morning, Serapina was already awake since she’s excited to go to school. Serapina can’t understand herself since she became human it feels like she slowly forgetting her revenge on those persons who were betrayed her. But, sometimes, she feels that she can’t let it go, since Serapina knows that she didn’t commit any sins when she was an angel. Besides, Serapina knew, that person is not finished to make her life miserable, she feels like there’s something big that was going happen. So, Serapina can’t deny that she’s afraid all of a sudden, since her new life was peaceful with a loving family unlike in her past life.

When Serapina is finished with her bath she heard a knock outside her room. Then, she heard the voice of her maid, Ginger who was asking her to eat her breakfast. Serapina can’t stopped herself to giggle, since she can’t believe that she’s taking a bath for an hour. And, when she looks at the clock she saw that it was already six in the morning.

“Lady Serapina, your breakfast is ready,” Ginger said calmly.

“Okay! I just prepare myself for a minute,” Serapina said while wearing her uniform.

“Okay, Lady Serapina, I will be waiting in the dining area,” Ginger said before she left.

After wearing her uniform, Serapina smiled in awe while looking at herself in the mirror. It feels like that she’s a Princess in some kingdom because her uniform fits her well. Aside from her golden hair, Serapina feels that she’s like a living doll who dress up as a student. When Serapina is finished preparing herself she left her room with a big smile plastered on her beautiful face. After that, she goes to the dining area to eat her breakfast while the maids are busy preparing her breakfast. Minutes have passed, when Serapina is finished having her breakfast.  

“Is the car ready?” Serapina asked Ginger.

“Yes, Lady Serapina. Mr. Raul is waiting for you outside.”

“Thank you, Ginger.”

With a smile on her face, Serapina leave their house to go to her school. While Serapina was on her way to school she’s excited about their presentation later about angels. Since Serapina was busy daydreaming she didn’t notice that they already arrived at her school.

“Lady Serapina, we’re here to your school,” Mr. Raul said outside the car while holding the door of the car.

“Oh! I didn’t notice that! Thank you, Mr. Raul,” Serapina said before getting out of the car.

Instead of answering her, Mr. Raul chose to smile as his answer to her. When Serapina stepping out to their car, she saw a confused looked of the other students while looking at her from head to toe. All of a sudden, Serapina felt uncomfortable with the way they looked at her. It feels like they are judging her based on the expression written on their face.

“Gosh! I thought she was dead!”

“I can’t believe it! It’s like, she’s not afraid to Melody.”

“OMG! I pity her!”

Serapina, stopped in a middle of her walk when she heard that the students are talking about her in a loud way. Instead of wasting her time on them, she continues her walks going to her room. But, all of a sudden, Serapina felt a warm liquid on her golden hair, to her surprise it was a crack egg who threw to her. With that, Serapina felt mad, since she didn’t expect there’s someone who was starting making her day worst. Since Serapina was mad, she looked for a person who was the one threw the egg on her. When Serapina found her, she decided to walk in the direction of a skinny girl who was having a red lipstick.

“Why?” Serapina coldly asked the skinny girl.

“What? What do you mean? I can’t understand you, weak! Can you elaborate on your question?” Marife said, while raising her left eyebrow.

“Are you deaf or something? I asked you, why did you throw the egg on my hair? Looked at what you’ve done, I looked like a mess right now!” Serapina said while holding her hair.

“Tsk! Well, it’s suits you well!” Marife said, the skinny girl. Then she laughed together with her friends. “Hahaha!”

Since she was the new owner of the body where her soul was transferred. Serapina, grabbed the hand of Marife then she twists it causing it to break. Serapina, didn’t felt contented with what she did, she grabbed the egg in the hand of Marife’s friend. Then, she broke it in the top of the head of Marife, while still twisting the hand that she grabs. She knew that it’s wrong to hurt other people but she wants them to know that she’s not the same Serapina.

“I’m warning you, I’m not the same Serapina! So, if you don’t want to be hurt again, stop pestering me!” Serapina said before letting go of the hand of Marife.

After that, Serapina turned her back and continue walking while leaving Marife who was crying real hard. Since she looked like a mess, Serapina chose to go to the bathroom to clean herself especially her golden hair. Serapina knew that she looks like a weird person right now, but she chose to ignore it. After cleaning herself, she decided to go to her room, afraid to become late for her first subject. Serapina, was thankful when her teacher is not in their room, so she looked for her best friend, Amor. A sweet smile plastered on her lips when she saw Amor waving at her at the back of their seat.

“Hey, I thought you’re gonna be late!” Amor said to Serapina who was planning to seat on her chair.

“I arrived early at our school. But, there’s some pest who was ruining my day so that I’ll almost be late for our first subject.”

“Are they hurting you again?” Amor asked while worrying about her.

“Hahaha!” Serapina laughed a little bit before answering Amor. “Don’t worry, they will not gonna do it again,” Serapina said while smiling in front of Amor.

Amor was gonna ask what happen when their teacher entered their room with a serious face. Serapina was busy looking at her pen and notebook when she heard her name.

“Is Serapina Hemmingway is here?” Ms. Abby asked in front of her class.

“Present, Ma’am! Why are you looking for me, Ma’am?”

“I heard the news about what you did in the Parking Lot. Some students say that you hurt Marife and threw an egg at her. Is it true?”

“No, Ma’am! The truth is she’s the one who started it, I’m just protecting myself from her.”

“Really? But, it is not what I heard from them. They say, that you’re the one who was started the fight.”

Serapina, took a deep breath before answering her Professor. She feels like, Ms. Abby was on the side of Marife instead taking her side. “If you don’t want to believe me, it’s up to you, Ma’am.”

“Are you disrespecting me, Ms. Hemmingway?” Ms. Abby asked while raising one of her eyebrows.

“No, Ma’am. What I’m trying to say is if you don’t believe me, then it’s okay for me. I’m used to it, so it’s not new to me,” Serapina said coldly.

With that, their room is filled with silence because of what she says. Serapina knew that it is wrong to disrespect her Professor, but she can’t accept the fact that Ms. Abby was taking side with Marife not knowing the real reason behind their fight. Her Professor was planning to ask her again about what happened in the Parking Lot when all of a sudden there was a guy who entered their classroom. Then, the attention of her Professor turns to the man who was entered their room while having a poker face.

“Mr. Gabriel Hudson, why are you late to my class?”

“I’m sorry, Ma’am. I just happened to bump into a certain person who was looking for you,” Gabriel said calmly.

“Okay, you may sit down, Mr. Hudson.”

After long discussion about the incident that happened in the Parking Lot, Ms. Abby decided to start her class in Mathematics. Many hours has passed when they heard the bell ringing, meaning it’s lunch already. While Serapina was still silent after her talked to her Professor. Serapina didn’t understand herself but she feels that there’s trouble waiting for her.
