Chapter Four: First Encounter

At exactly four in the afternoon when Serapina is done with her class. Even though there's a little trouble earlier because of some bratty students Serapina decided to forget those awful things that happened to her. Instead, Serapina thinks positively since she promised herself that she will take revenge for those people who hurt the real owner of her new body. Aside from that Serapina didn't forget those people who betrayed her when she was still an angel. The truth is, Serapina knows that taking revenge is wrong but she can't stand it when someone was living freely even though they commit sins to innocent people. Aside from that, Serapina believes that one day she'll become an angel again and if that happens she will take revenge for someone who condemned her for the sin that she didn't commit.

"Hey, Serapina are you sure you are okay?" Amor asked while looking at Serapina.

"I'm okay, Amor. I just can't forget what happened to me earlier in our first class. It feels like Miss Abby is siding with Marife."

Amor just sighed before answering Serapina. "I feel it too. It feels like Miss Abby has hatred towards you but I'm not sure if it is true."

Serapina took a deep breath before answering Amor. "Just let her be. I don't want to waste my time with those people who are judging me not knowing the real reason behind it."

Amor chose to keep silent while looking at Serapina. Minutes have passed when they go outside their classroom. Serapina didn't understand why the other students were looking at her, it feels like they know something that she didn't know. Instead of wasting her time on them, Serapina chose to continue her walking in the hallway of their department.

"OMG! I didn't expect that she's that kind of person!"

"Me too! I didn't know that she's a double-faced b***h!"

"Oh! So she's the one who hurt Marife!"

Serapina just took a deep breath because of what she heard. Instead of explaining herself to them she just ignores it since she's tired of all the negativity that happened in her day. When they are already in the parking lot, Amor bid goodbye to her while smiling. Since Amor has worked after their class to help her mother with their expenses every day.

"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you to your work?" Serapina asked while creasing her eyebrow.

"Yes. Don't worry about me I'm used to it."

"Okay! Just call me if you need my help," Serapina said.

Thirty minutes have passed when Serapina is still waiting for her driver. Since she was bored to death Serapina chose to walk towards the store near on parking lot. While she's walking towards the store she saw a familiar face near the abandoned warehouse. Instead of going to the store, Serapina chose to follow the person she saw who was walking towards to abandoned warehouse. Serapina can't explain why she felt nervous all of a sudden. When she's in front of the door of the abandoned warehouse Serapina chose to hide to see what's happening inside. Serapina was shocked when she saw that there are people inside who were fighting each other. And what she shocked the most is when she saw her classmate Gabriel fighting endlessly with some goons who was holding a baseball bat.

Serapina didn't know what she does if she was asking for help or she will help him instead. To her surprise, she saw how Gabriel fights with those goons alone. And Serapina can't help herself but feel amazed because of what she saw. Instead of trying to ask for help from someone, Serapina chose to watch how Gabriel fights with those armed goons. Little did she know Serapina found herself enjoying watching them fighting with each other. It feels like her spirit as a warrior suddenly rose and she wants to join them.

"Don't feel proud boy! You're just alone fighting with us," Philip said proudly.

If you describe Philip he was a tall man with a large physique. And his face is covered with a big scar starting from his left eye to his chin. He's also had a hatred for Gabriel since his ex-girlfriend broke up with him because of the man who was in front of him. But the fact is, his girlfriend broke up with him because she can't stand being near him. And Gabriel was innocent for their break up, it's just that he was helping the girl because of a small accident.

"Tsk! Whether am I alone or not I can fight all of you! So keep your mouth shut and come fight with me not your weak underlings!" "Gabriel said while holding his fists.

"I see, you are not afraid of us! Then let's see who was gonna win in the end!" Philip said while grinning at Gabriel.

Serapina was shocked again when she saw Philip runs in the direction of Gabriel who was now busy fighting with other goons. Serapina thought that it was the end for Gabriel since he was busy fighting with other goons. But, Serapina was wrong because she saw how Gabriel blocked the attack of Philip to him. After that, Gabriel punch the stomach of the goons he was fighting while he kicked Philip on his face. Gabriel didn't feel satisfied with what he did to Philip so he kicked him again repeatedly.

Once again, Serapina felt the excitement of being a warrior. But, Serapina knew that she can't do it anymore since she's an ordinary person now. That's why she just watched him fighting with others. Serapina was smiling ear to ear while looking at Gabriel since he's already winning. But, Serapina was wrong because all of a sudden she heard a loud gunshot that she didn't know where it comes. And then she saw Gabriel holding his stomach while bleeding badly. Serapina can't understand herself but she felt mad all of a sudden. Since she didn't expect that someone was waiting for his turn to shot Gabriel who was busy fighting with the goons.

And what she can't accept is the goons fighting with Gabriel chose to leave him while bleeding to death. It looks like Gabriel was just trash to them that needs to dispose of. Then, Serapina found herself running towards Gabriel who was still holding his bleeding stomach.

"Oh my! Are you still okay?" Serapina asked with concern.

"I-I'm fine. Leave now!" Gabriel said.

"Are you out of your mind? You're bleeding to death and you want me to leave you here? Stop being cocky, I'm here to help you!"

With a full of determination, Serapina pressed the stomach of Gabriel to stop the bleeding. Then, she gently helps Gabriel to stand and leave the abandoned warehouse. When Serapina and Gabriel were outside the abandoned warehouse they saw a vehicle passing in front of them. Because of the eagerness to help Gabriel, Serapina shouts at a top of her lungs to look for help. Even though Serapina felt tired because of the weight of Gabriel since he was a tall man she chose to help him. And, bring him to the hospital to save his life.

"Stop right there!" Serapina shouts in a loud tone.

Serapina was thankful when the driver of the vehicle suddenly stop because of her shout. Then, Serapina saw how terrified the driver of the vehicle is. But, instead of avoiding them the driver suddenly goes outside of his vehicle to help them. Since Gabriel did not look good anymore because of the bleeding on his stomach.

"What the eff! What happened to him, Miss?" the driver asked while looking terrified.

"He was shot! I don't know who did this to him."

Instead of answering her, the driver helps Serapina to bring him to the hospital. Thirty minutes have passed when they arrived at the hospital. Since Gabriel lost too much blood the nurse and doctor do their jobs and bring him to the operating room to save his life. Since Serapina can't go inside to the operating room she just chose to sit in a chair outside while waiting for the news about his condition. Serapina was waiting patiently outside the operating room when there's a nurse suddenly got outside while walking in her direction. Because of that, Serapina creased her eyebrows while looking at the nurse. In the hands of the nurse, Serapina saw the cellphone who was still ringing. She thought that it was Gabriel's cellphone and she's not wrong since the nurse gave his cellphone to her.

"Miss, this is his cellphone. It's ringing so we decided to give it to you. Since it looks like you are close to each other."

"Oh! Thank you."

Since it's still ringing Serapina chose to answer the call. "Hello, this is Serapina, classmate of Gabriel."

"Oh! Hello, Serapina. Can you give this cellphone to my son? I tried to call him many times but he didn't answer my calls."

Serapina got silent for a moment because she didn't know how to respond to Gabriel's mother. But, instead of lying to her, Serapina chose to tell her the truth about her son's condition. "I'm sorry to inform you Ma'am, but your son is in the operating room right now."

"What did you say? What happened to him?"

"He was shot, Ma'am. And I don't know who shot him."

"Serapina, can you stay at the hospital for a while. Just wait for me at the hospital," Shiela said on the other line, the mother of Gabriel.

"Okay, Ma'am."

After the call was finished Serapina just realized that her uniform is full of blood. Instead of worrying about the blood in her uniform, she found herself smiling. Since this is the first time that she helps other people as a normal person. An hour has passed when there's a mid-thirties woman who was running while worry is plastered on her face. Serapina knew that it was Gabriel's mother because she saw the similarity between the two.

"Excuse me, you're Serapina right?" Shiela asked Serapina.

"Yes, Ma'am."

"How's my son's condition? Is he okay?" "I'm sorry, Ma'am. Gabriel is still in the operating room," Serapina said with concern.

Shiela was trying to talk to Serapina when the door in the operating room was suddenly open. They saw the doctor and the nurse walking in their direction. "Excuse me, are you the family of the patient? The one who was shot in his stomach."

"Yes! I'm his mother. Is my son is okay?" Sheila asked the doctor.

"Don't worry, Ma'am. Your son is safe now." The doctor said while smiling.

All of a sudden, Sheila took a deep breath since her son is safe now. While Serapina suddenly realized that maybe her driver is already at her school. Serapina just scratches her head when it is already three hours have passed. And when she saw her cellphone it is full of messages and texts coming from her driver. So, she texted her driver that instead of at the school, Serapina tells Mr. Raul to pick her up in the hospital.

"Serapina, thank you for helping my son," Sheila said while smiling at Serapina.

"You're welcome, Ma'am."

"Stop calling me like that, just call me, Auntie."

Then, Sheila hugged Serapina while smiling at her. And, Serapina found herself hugging the mother of Gabriel while smiling also. A minute has passed when Serapina's driver, Mr. Raul texted her that he's already outside in the hospital. So, Serapina bid goodbye to Sheila since his driver is already outside.

"Auntie, I need to go since my driver is already outside in the hospital," Serapina said with an apologetic look to Sheila.

"Oh! I'm sorry for wasting your time, Serapina."

"Hahaha!" Serapina laughed softly before answering her. "Don't be sorry, Auntie I did this because I want it."

After that, Serapina hugged Sheila again before leaving the hospital. Serapina knew that even though she's not an angel anymore she can help other people if she wants it to. But, she can't forget the person who was shot, Gabriel. It feels like that it is not the end since she saw the expression of those goons. And based on their expression it feels like they are just teasing Gabriel.

"I know this is not the end but I'll promise to protect him," Serapina said with a serious look.
