Anastasia was a young werewolf girl that had only shifted once after her 18th birthday. On the night she found out that her human boyfriend was cheating on her, she ran away only to come across her fated mate; A lycan Prince.

Would he accept her? Or would fate play another cruel game with her?

"I’d like to kiss you without asking permission, but I can’t…"

I heard him say. I couldn’t control the flutter within, the lump in my throat, the violent heartbeat.

"I shouldn’t…" He swallowed hard as his hand slid fast on the red satin of my dress, sending impulses to my spine as he pressed a little harder against my butts until their cheeks brushed. "I won’t..."  he parted to look at me, "if you don’t want me to."

Heat rose from my stomach to my chest and my heart skipped a beat as Jericho’s lips were closing in. The smell filled my nostrils to the point of near brain death. He was so close. That was it. At that very moment, his lips brushed over mine like a wave of warmth and all my body reacted to him instinctively. It was a soft innocent brush at first. And then it was something even more.

My toes curled, my eyes zeroed in on his, his smell even more hypnotic. The taste of him… it silenced my thoughts and made me want more. My whole body tingled, the feel of his frame leaning on mine as his arms wrapped around me felt nearly forbidden.

As if time had stopped right there, as we stood in the middle of the cave, glued to one another. As if no one else existed and there was no risk of the wolves from a few hours ago attacking. As if nothing made sense anymore.

My wolf whimpered, fighting for dominance, which was something she never did. But I didn't give in. I wanted this as much as she does.

Anastasia. I strolled down the long dirt road that curved towards the end of the road, clucthing tightly onto the basket containing the food warmers in my hand. A smiled graced my lips, as I remembered the perfect surprise I had planned for Marv. Today was his birthday, and I had been so busy helping Mother Tanny with making the cheesecakes she sales at the market mostly that I almost messed up the surprise I had planned for him. I wasn't sure if he was angry that I hadn't wished him yet, or pissed even. Marv had a personality that scares me sometimes. He gets angry at the little things that do not matter. But that is fine, I can take it all. After all, there is no hope that I might find my mate ever, because my wolf hardly communicates with me. I shifted only once, that was on my eighteenth birthday two months ago. And nothing had happened after that. I asked Mother Tanny why we were living with the humans, and she gave me vague answers, claiming that it was for the best. I never asked her again. Because I knew she must have her reasons for doing that, just like I knew she had her reasons for not telling me how my parents died and how I ended up with her. My heart swirled as I remembered the grey eyed man I was going to meet, with his thick wave of brown hair. Somehow, I had found myself overly enchanted with him the fast time I had set my eyes on him in the little town market. Thoughts of him being shirtless and chopping firewood in front of his little house made my heart did a little dance. We were yet to do anything, because he had promised he wouldn't force me until I'm ready, and I wanted that to be on our wedding night. I kept walking through the cold woods. The frost on my face feels like its going right through my face to my skull. I heard the wind blowing on the trees and owls hooing. It smells like pine trees and berries, and I could also smell the aroma of soups emancipating from the houses down the road. I shivered again,  realizing that I had made a mistake by wearing the plain red gown that stopped just at my knees with a cloak and a shawl wrapped around my neck. I purposely chose that dress to impress Marv on his big day, and I hope it works. I picked up my pace and quickened my steps as soon as I saw his house. The thatched roof was the first to see from afar, and then the pines that were used as walls. Marv was not very well off, but not poor at thesame time. He could afford three square meals. I stepped into the dark lit courtyard, thanking the moon goddess for the possibility of seeing even in the dark. Although I had only shifted once, my sense of smell and sight had heightened morethan it had been before. However, a waft of weird scent filled my nose, and moments later, I heard muffled cries and the creaking of Marv's wooden bed. An unfamiliar feeling settled at the pit of my stomach, but I didn't stop. I kept walking in, approaching the single room in the house, with my heard thundering loudly against my ribcage. I stopped before the door, carefully placed my head on the wooden door and listened to the loud cries of a woman. "Shiit! Hard, Marv, harder!" She groaned, and I almost chocked on my breath. I desperately wanted to believe that what I was listening to wasn't real, that perhaps, it was my imagination playing a sick game with me. "I'm going to make you feel so so good, you are going to thank me after this." I heard Marv's voice, deep and gluttral and heavy deep breath. For a moment, I thought the world had stopped, it felt as though everything made no sense anymore and I couldn't even move my feet. I willed for them to take me away so I can stop hearing the loud cries of the woman and the creakling of the bed. Yet, I couldn't move. Instead, I did the most stupidest thing ever. I pushed open the door and came face to face with Marv's naked body on top of another woman, his p***s buried deep into her virgina. My heart shattered, and I let out a painful cry that jolted him back to his senses. I slipped to the floor, throwing the basket that I had stacked in some cheesecake and some fruits. "What are you doing here?" His voice sounded hard, unlike the usual calming voice he had always used with me. I looked up, and found that he was still on the woman, although he had stopped moving, but never stepped down. "What...what is this, Marv?" My voice chocked, and I could swear I'd never feel this much pain ever again. Have I been cursed by the moon goddess? "It is what you see. Now, get out and let me finish what I'm doing!" She snapped. I felt another twig of pain as tears rolled down my cheeks non stop. "You can't do this. You're my boyfriend. You promised to marry me and..." "I promised that just so I could get in between your legs. But you're so dumb and naive that you don't even get simple sign language. I can't even begin to imagine what had made me like you in the first place. You're so plain, so boring and stupid!" I gasped, placing my hands on my chest as the wave of tears kept blinding my eyes. "You...you..." "Get out of here, Anna. I have unfinished business and wouldn't want you to stop me from enjoying myself." "I...I..." "It is over. Just go," he groaned, and I heard him moving yet again, despite me still standing there and looking at him. I watched through blinded tears as he continued moving, pounding into the woman laying below him. I could only see her dark hair, and her moans filled the room. "Marv, you..." "You can stay back and watch for all I care," he groaned again, increasing his pace. I felt as though my breath was getting chocked. My chest was filled with an unfamiliar feeling, and I felt as though my legs would give way at any moment. "You're so tight," he murmured, kissing the woman without stopping. It made me remember the first time he had kissed me, and I felt nauseous. "She's...still... here," the woman said in between moans. I wish I could snap her neck into two. "That's how stupid she is," Marv replied unfeelingly. "She's so stupid that she couldn't understand I want nothing to do with a naive foolish girl like her," he added, looking straight into my eyes before looking away. That was it. I had had enough. I couldn't say anything nor do anything, instead, I turned away and ran into the dark night towards the dark wood. The pain in my heart was unlike anything I've ever experienced.
