Chapter 17

“Your mother was an immensely powerful empath. She helped me a few times over the years. She brought you to me when you were a baby. She was aware of her family history and wanted to know if you were a witch since she knew that magic and power skipped 4 or 5 generations. You were the firstborn of the 5th generation since the last witch. That is where some of your power comes from. Being the 5th generation is powerful enough, but firstborns are always more powerful.”

I stare in shock at this woman. She knows more about me than I do.

“Clem? Why don’t you sit down sweetie.” Kat says softly as she pulls me to my chair and sits me down as I stare in shock at the floor or my hands.

“I’m sorry Clementine. I wasn’t aware you didn’t know. Well, I’ll leave you to your meeting. It was lovely to see you again, Clementine. I’ll see you later sweetie. Bye.” She says as she kisses Tali and leaves.

The waitress came back and placed our meals in front of us. After she left, we started eating. Brent, Hannah and George started talking. Mentioning what we were here to talk about. Me, my voice, recording in a studio, type of music, and George mentioned my first concert. He wants it to be a big one. Sort of a coming-out concert thing.

GASP

I gasped and zoned out as I saw a premonition.

PREMONITION

“Don’t you have a girlfriend you should be getting home to?” Nina asks sensually.

“She’s at a meeting with my parents. They won’t be home for a while, so there’s no need for me to be there. We have time for round 2.” Isaac said as he kisses her neck.

“Ok.” Nina moans.

Nina and Isaac begin kissing passionately. They slowly take each other’s clothes off when Dante shows up.

“ISAAC?! WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU DOING? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO CLEM?” Dante shouts in anger.

Dom, Benji, Ian, Zac and Enzo appear behind Dante with looks of pure anger.

“Stay away from Clem,” Dom says in a deathly calm tone as the vision ends.

END OF PREMONITION

GASP

I breathe out sharply as tears sting my eyes. I stand up as I start crying and quickly walk outside.

“I can’t believe it. Oh my god. Why? Why would he do that?” I whisper to myself as I try to stop myself from crying.

Kat P.O.V

“She had another vision,” Andrew says sadly.

“I can’t imagine what she saw to make her stand up in tears and walk out without a word,” Brent says concerned.

“I think it was Isaac again. She’s heartbroken. I can feel her emotions now. She’s in so much pain.” I say quietly as tears cloud my vision.

“I’m going to go and check on her,” Andrew says as he stands up.

“Ok,” I whisper as he kisses my cheek.

‘I’m so sorry Clem.’ I whisper in my head.

Andrew P.O.V

I walked outside and found Clem on a bench a few metres away from the doors.

“Sweetie?” I whisper as I sit beside her.

Clem looks up at me and the look on her face breaks my heart. I pull her into a strong hug, wishing I could protect her from what she’s seen. She starts to cry in my arms as she lays her head on my chest.

“What did you see?” I whisper.

“Isaac, Nina. No clothes. Happening now. Dante and the others told him to stay away from me. Dante asked why he would do this to me and he didn’t answer.” She says in between sobs.

“I’m going to strangle that boy,” I growl quietly.

“I want you to pretend like you don’t know. Act like you don’t know I saw. Unless the others tell you what happened. Please I don’t want to be the cause of any family trouble. This is for me to deal with.” She begs.

“I’m sorry, Clem. I just can’t do that.” I whisper as she sits up. “If he asks how I know, I will tell him I gave you a hug and saw it. Ok?”

Clem nods as I hand her a tissue. She wipes her tears away and blows her nose.

“Would you like to go back inside now? It’s a bit chilly out here.” I offer.

“Yeah.” She whispers.

“Ok,” I whisper as I stand up and hold my hand out.

Clem takes my hand and stands up. We walk back inside together and sit down in our seats.

Clementine P.O.V

“Are you ok sweetie?” Kat asks as I sit in my seat between her and Andrew.

“No. I don’t want to talk about it please.” I say quietly as I sip my water.

“Ok.” She whispers sadly.

I pushed my meal away from me, having lost my appetite for at least a few days.

I stayed silent throughout the meeting, only occasionally nodding my head when things were directed at me.

When the waitress came with the bill, she turned to me with a worried expression.

“Was the meal not to your liking, Miss Phoenix?”

“It was fine. I saw something that made me lose my appetite. That’s all. Thank you though.” I reply sadly.

The waitress nodded and left with everyone's empty plates.

“We should get going. I want to talk to Isaac.” Andrew says a little angry.

“Yes. Of course. Thank you all for coming today. I will notify you of any other meetings should your presence be required.” Brent says as we all stand up.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Brent. It was nice to meet you, Clementine.” George says with a sad smile.

I shake his hand and nod. He looks at me worriedly before leaving.

“I’m so sorry for whatever you saw that made you feel the way you do, Hunny. If you need to talk to someone, I’m just a phone call away.” Hannah says sadly as she hands me her card.

“Thank you,” I whisper as she hugs me.

“I’ll see you later.” She smiles sadly before leaving.

“If you want me to, I’ll come over soon and we can sit and write a song together.” Tali offers as she gives me a hug.

“Sure. That sounds good.” I whisper as she pulls back.

“Here’s my number. Text me later and let me know how you are. I hope you feel better soon. Even if it is a little bit.” Tali says handing me a piece of paper with her number on it.

She gives me another hug and leaves.

“Can we go? Please?” I ask as my voice breaks.

“Sure. Come on.” Kat says with tears in her eyes.

Kat takes my hand and we walk to the limo.
