I AM ANNA MICHAEL

MY DILEMMA

I looked up to see Christopher. "Hey what you doing here? You okay?" He asked worriedly. I nodded and saw them coming towards us. "Fast,we gotta move". I grabbed his wrist and dragged him with me. Soon our legs gave up and we ended up at a park. We panted hard. My body became weak and I fell on my knees.

"Hey Anna?" He caught me before I fall down. "Chris...Christopher?" Everything went black.

Christopher POV

Anna passed out on my hands. I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed Aaron's number.

OTP

A:Hey dude, wassup?

C:Aaron, I'm at the park near our hostel. Can you please come here?

A:What happened? Anything wrong?

C: It's...just...emergency. Please,make it fast.

With that I hung up. Aaron arrived soon and we drove to the hospital. I carried Anna on my back to the emergency room. The nurses there helped me to place Anna on stretcher. "What happened?" The doctor came and asked. "We don't know. She fainted". Aaron spoke before me and they brought her into a room.

Few moments later,the doctor came out. "Where is the attender?" I rushed towards him. "I'm here. How is she?" The doctor nodded. "She just lack of vitamin. Do you know when she last ate?" I shook my head. "It's ok. We have given her glucose. She'll be shifted to normal ward soon. Then you can visit her". I thanked the doctor and he walked away.

I looked up at Aaron. "We should report this to him. If he found out this on his own you're dead", he said. "No,we need to wait. We don't know yet what happened. What will you tell him? I don't think so she is lacking vitamin. If someone's body lack vitamin will they react in fear and run away like crazy", I asked him. Then I saw Daniel coming in with a masked man. He's here. How the hell did he knew?? I looked at Aaron and "I'm sorry. I'm not in the plan of dying at this age", he said and walked towards them.

"How is she now? What happened?" He questioned us. I spoke before Aaron could. "I followed Anna from the cafe. There was a crime scene so the usual ways were blocked. She took another way from the alley. " "Alley? The one at the top building?" His eyes grew bigger. I continued. "Soon she went in there. And I heard gunshots and Anna ran out from the alley. I blocked her way,we ran away from there,ended up at the park and she fainted". I stopped.

He walked up towards the room and asked "when she will wake up?" "In a while", I said and I saw something strange in his eyes. Is he worried?

Later the nurse came to us and said that she's awake. He stepped forward and entered the room,told us to wait outside.

ANNA POV

I felt pain on my head. I tried to open my eyes. The light in the room flashed at my eyes. Then, I realised I'm in a room and tried to sit up. The door opened and revealed a young masked man. As i forced myself to sit up,his hands gently pushed me back to lie down. "Who are you?"

"Don't worry,youre safe now," he said as he removed his mask. My eyes got teary and I hugged him immediately. "Hey relax. It's all good now", he leaned and kissed my forehead. Its been a long time since I felt his presence near me. A tear escaped from my eye and he wiped it with his thumb.

"He is here. I saw him." I spoke as I sat up. " Who? Dad",he asked and I nodded. "I'm fine for now but I know he will come for me. He didn't know where I was these years but today it's like I exposed where am living." He said nothing and went out of the room.

I was confused and the door opened again. This time Aaron,Daniel and Christopher followed Henry,entered the room. They stopped right at my bed and Henry spoke,"here after you will stay with Christopher." He looked at Christopher and he came out and bowed. I was taken back as I saw him bowed. Once your friend came back from China you can go back to her house. Until then stay with him." He said and paused as he saw a nurse came in.

"You can be discharged as your drips finished. Make sure to take these medicines." She handed out the cover to Henry. "And don't skip your meals," she smiled and left the room. Henry turned to me with furrowed brows "you skipped meals?!" I stood silent and nodded as words didn't come out. Henry and Christopher exchanged glares and I asked Daniel "Daniel! How do you know I'm here?"

"You don't know? I'm Aaron's brother and Daniel is my friend. We three work for your brother. I felt confused again. Christopher knew who my brother is not only him the rest too. How come I wasn't aware of it. And they work for Henry?! What's Henry's passion? My mind filled with questions and Henry snapped me back to reality. "Let's go before the night fall dark. Christopher here you go,take care of her nicely. Give here medicines and make her eat on time. If nothing works give me a call".

Henry walked away after bid me bye. I get in the car with Christopher with me. Daniel drove the car as Aaron sat next to him at the passenger seat. Not sure of where I'm going as the car passes the city. I fell asleep after a few minutes later.

FLASH BACK

It was a normal day. Nothing special happen. I went home after my class finished. Henry had some work at sports club so he wasn't home yet. What was strange was mom and dad was also not home. Then I heard bottle breaking sound and sure someone is home. I entered living room only to hear pieces of glass shred. The only one drinker in my family is my mom. She used to go clubbing at night but she wont drink at day time. As I went near stairs i saw dad sitting down holding a bottle of alcohol. Pieces of glasses were everywhere. I was surprised as I saw my dad drinking who never drink before. "Dad?" My voice made him realise someone is here. But he wasn't sure who was that. "Dad it's me Anna. What you doing? Why are you drinking? Where is mom?" Besides giving me answers he had another shot of alcohol. This moment I felt something is off the road and called Henry,told him everything. When I hung up I turned around only to see my drunken dad.

"You will become as her when you grow up. Wont it will be better if I kill you now". He raised the bottle and stopped. "Or no?" He asked himself the question and walked towards the sofa. I stayed where I was not having the courage to talk or walk towards him. He spoke a moment later "I loved her a lot. I did everything I could to her to make her happy. But what made her to do like this." He cried.

As I couldn't hold myself,I went towards him and sat down beside him. "Dad,what happened?" I asked carefully. "Let me tell you something. I'm not a businessman. I work under big mafia leaders. As we work in undercover we shouldn't reveal ourselves to anyone. I kept it a secret until this moment. But I didn't knew your mom also worked under my leader. She was having an affair with an under worker and now she ran away with him." I couldn't get a hold of the problem as dad told me who is he and mom and what mom did.

Dad suddenly kneeled down and cried even harder. "What am I going to do with you both?" I was watching dad crying as I didn't see him picking a dagger. I stood up and stepped back. He with fierce eyes "I won't repeat my mistakes will I?" He threw the dagger at me and I felt it piercing my skin. I fell down as I hold my neck. I looked at my hand only to know I'm bleeding right now.
