A fire
Dark smoke came out of the Oceris Palace just as the night approached, Flames had taken over every inch of the building and were slowly eating it away. The beautiful iced sculptures on the tip of the towers were melting away. The snow that fell from the grey sky was no more as white as the fleech of Mary's little lamb, rather it had a tint of grey in it. The burning smell from the palace had rotted the scents of the flowers blooming in the garden. The horrifying scene before the eyes of the maids made their souls shiver and painful cries escaped their lips. They were frozen but those who were able to move made their way to the main palace to let everyone know about the fire. The armies of the state had been mobilized! Soldiers marched towards the palace with their hands on their shiny blades and were ready to slit the throats of whoever was the cause of this. Commander Zand, a tall man who seemed to be in his forties stood in his armor, His grey hair fell on his face covering the black eye patch on his eye his skin was pale. A deep frown was on his face that showed how disgusted and angry he was at the moment. At the foot of the Palace gates, he stood with his army but the heavy gates were tightly shut to his face and only one guard stood in front of the door, A muscular man with a huge metal plate protecting his torso. He had a warm beige skin tone and deep black hair with a pair of serious eyes. He held onto a two-headed ax and was fearlessly standing in front of an army of hundreds. Zand gritted his teeth before uttering hatefully. “Get out of my way!” His hand was around his sword as he said, HIs voice was fear-inducing but the guy stood with a stiff face and didn't budge. “What is your business here?” He asked in a barbaric tone. “By the order of Emperor Azorius Coral! I am here to protect the Crown Prince! And whoever comes in my way! I will not hesitate in (Swish of blades) “ Zand didn't hesitate just like he said and pulled out his sword from his sheath and placed it on the side of his neck. “Ending his life.” HE completed his sentence then. “I am afraid I can’t let you pass these gates, It's the order from the General!” He replied as his grip around his ax tightened because Zand’s blades were piercing through his skin and warm blood had already started to trickle down his body. “BAck off! YOu must not trespass!” Bishop said as he stood his ground, Without orders from his general he couldn't do anything and all he did was hold in his anger. “Sir Bishop! Let them pass!” Said a woman who was standing on the top of the wall. She wore a deep maroon dress and a caped hood. Her hair was the same color as the dress and she had sharp black eyes. Her quiver slung on her back and her fingers were clenched around her bow as she have the army a deep displeased look, Bishop seemed disappointed as he retreated his weapon but he said in a low voice. “I hope we meet at war sometimes.” The gates behind him opened and the armies rushed inside. The water Mages had already set out the fire but nothing was left. “Search for the Prince! Now!” HE announced and the soldiers rushed around the burnt palace. There was very little hope that anyone who was inside was left alive, especially a prince who was in eternal sleep. Zand was uneasy, He was sure that this was a terrible idea to make the Crown prince marry the war beast, there was no way he would be safe around a monster who had already brought too much misery to the Solyria Dynasty. HE was reminded of the glimpse of war where he came across the demonic GEneral who had not an ounce of mercy in her heart or did she even have a heart. Those who came into contact with her fire were destined to die a death that was similar to burning in hellfire for eternity. The Empire of Nuria and the Kingdom of Solyria were the biggest nations that ruled the world. MAny other beings like fairies, nymphs, and elves existed but they stayed hidden and rarely came in contact with the humans. It was in tales of olden times there used to be Cetus the water serpents and Rahl the fire dragons, they used to be enemies and the kingdoms being their descendants followed the traditions for centuries until the Crown Prince of the Kingdom Solyria fell into an eternal sleep because of a curse upon the royal family. It was said that the heart of the bearer of the curse would freeze and they would fall into a sleep from which they would never awaken. But a year ago a proficiency was revealed that only one from the Nuria Empire can cure him. Thus the KIng of Solyria Azorius Coral sent for a preposition to the Emperor of Nuria Apollo Azar Solana to marry off one of its citizens to the Crown Prince and in return, they would hand over some of its most cherished lands to them. The EMperor agreed instantly and to their surprise, they sent the demonic General Noori Azar Solana The only Princess of the Nuria Empire to their kingdom to be their son’s bride. No one knew their motive behind it until now when before the first night of their marriage the Royal Palace of the Crown Prince was burned to ashes. It was clear that it was an open invitation to war after they had killed the second and last son of the kingdom causing it to end its lineage. After a long search, there was a wave of anger that took over the soldiers. There was no sign of the Prince’s body and nor was there a trace of the Princess. “Send the message to his Royal Majesty! The Nuria Empire has crosses its line. We must prepare for war!” The sounds of unsheathing of the sword rung in the palace.
