I turn around to see the most painful sight ever or what I thought could be the most painful sight ever at that time. There was a girl on Henry’s bike and she was smiling at him, looking ever so beautiful and far from gracious.
I keep staring at them and his eyes meet mine. I avert my gaze after staring at him for a while, then, I walk into the school. I feel hurt but I just couldn’t bring myself to cry.
Later that day, in the cafeteria, I tell Luke about what I saw in the morning. “He can’t possibly have changed so fast or did you do anything?” Luke whispers. “That was exactly what I was fearing would happen. Now you see, I don’t just want him to change just because of me,” I explain in hushed tones.
