We plan to bake different types of cakes that evening including chocolate cake which has to be my absolute favorite. I mistakenly pour flour on Van. Okay, maybe not mistakenly, but what’s the fun in baking when you can’t pour flour or break eggs.
Van looks at me, her face red with anger. I hold back from laughing. “Oh no you didn’t,” Elle says. I burst out with laughter when Van coughs and white smoke comes out of her mouth. As I was laughing, I feel a very thick liquid slide down my face.
I raise my head to see Van’s face still red but this time, it was because she had been holding back laughter of her own. It was Tami. I was too busy laughing that I didn’t know Tami had cracked the egg just above my head.
