Lucinda's (POV)
"Pathetic girl did you really think we would just give in like that?" one of the witches spat as I lay on the floor writhing in pain from what ever they blasted me with, I managed to lift my head to see my dad lying just a few feet from me. Thinking about my mate and my dad lying there helpless and the rest of the pack trying to defend themselves it hit me then, I needed to be there strong Luna now more than ever and protect them.
I summoned all my strength to stand and face these evil witches who wanted to take everything away from me, they looked harmless but I knew better than to be fooled again as they looked at me with disgust, the dark haired one stepped forward lifting her arms as if summoning something, I tried to step back but found I was rooted to the spot.
