SUDDENLY I BUMPED ON YOU/ PROMISE ME TOMORROW

One bad day for Alina this young lady is carrying a heavy feeling that something going on from home. Walking in the gutter to avoid bumping into people for this is a pick hours and the sidewalks seems heavy with the footsteps of different people coming from different work places. This morning when they leave their home her mom still on bed sick because of Asthma so they decided that big bro is going to work while she goes to school for now and then they shift places again tomorrow if things does not go well to her mom. They been doing this since elementary for the age of eight she started working already helping mom on her maintenance and everyday expenses. From a far a group of young man Redjay the Mayor’s illegitimate son is approaching and everybody notice them who does not the group is as noisy as the garruluos bird and his companion is as pretty as hell. Well at least his not that handsome but not ugly too perhaps the bad-boy image attracts them or its the mayor’s Mansions who knows... As their distance became closer and closer her contemplation about home can’t be swayed this young woman is always untamable. While this stupid young man wants all attentions to its finest. As their gap become closer and closer the noise grew louder to her ear but her eyes is still down to her feet watching the endless gutter at the edge of the road when... “Aaaayyy kabayo!!!” She fell into the gutter but she manage to keep her feet on the ground without having an embarasing fall. Finally, she lift her heads up to see the culprit face and its an irritating smirk from Redjay’s face that boils her blood her eyes turns smaller obviosly and his reaction irritate her more. Then she look at everyones face in her amazement they are waiting for his next words to vindicate her. “ Then what ?! You think I’m gonna fall in-love with you just because we bumped to each other?..” he says then laugh on her face and as expected every clowns follows. But Alina is not in the mood for another drama she have to go home as quick as she can to check whats happening. So she gave him a flying rolling eyes and immediately walk away from his group. She never turn around however the rejected feeling of RJ hurt a lot that he glance at her and got so mad as his friends tease him. “ Ow ow ow... RJ your just a wind you never exist to her hahahahaaa..” Joke by one of his friends. Making him so angry that changes everyones mood.. “ I don’t? Then I’ll make my self exist there wherever her world is... hahahha... lets go gather now we have a meeting.¨ he said. The group is shock for they expecting another visit to his house means another day on mayor´s mansion and a free meal then maybe a pool party later if his is in the good mood but a meeting meant to be held in the dangeon where they haze a new member of the fraternity. Everybody look disappointed right now and RJ saw it and happy about it deep inside. “What?! I just wanna go home...” said one of his friend if only he didn’t knew that if he invite him to the mansions he will not say such things. The disproval on everybody’s face is his little revenge for teasing him about the stupid girl. And so everyone is in the meeting but only RJ is in the good mood about it.. “Okay fine!! Lets finish this quickly then lets proceed to our house... Happy?..” HE said and everyone pretend to be fine about it the truth is they are happy really. “ So, who knows her?” He ask. “ Seriously?! That poor girl?, you wanna waste time and energy to that nobody?” Jonathan speak a new member of the pack an old friend of Alinas’ brother. “ Why not You heard me speak earlier about existing into her poor and ugly world Jonathan. Perhaps you know her for you rather sound worry and diffensive of her than yo know?...” He added as he step closer to Jonathan and make an intimidating look staring him down like he is ready for interrogation. Jonathan flashback to the day he doomed himself by joining the brotherhood he remember his voice clearly in his head while he is being beaten blindfolded before passing out “ I am the law I am the boss I am your only big brother and I am at your side only you do as I say.” After his last paddle he past out with those word that he thought those word are the message he carry on to his grave that day. “ Yeah I saw you before and her brother... Now I remember it too well I tried to bully her I put her bag in the muddy playground but she run for help and called her brother and I remember clearly your face!!...” Petter Jhon speaks his the supreme bully though he does not speak more often but most of the idea comes from him. “ I did not do anything to you Peter all I do there is to stop her brother Michael from beating you...” Jonathan explain. His confessions makes everyone burst into laughing and RJ makes it more sounds insulting to aggreviate the situation. “ Really...” his face turn into red and his fist is ready for blow but as soon as he wave those fist the crowd makes noise. “ Wooowww hood!!!” The crowd says. Then he stop between the air and Jonathans face as the brotherhood rule is no fist or any kind of abuse will be laid to each other except it is the founder who will punish the culprit but unless its betrayal to the hood its not punishable. “ Hhahhahahhahh...” the more insulting laugh from RJ and his intensions is cultivating his inner demon for he is always jealous of him. The truth is this is his half brother just a year younger the only difference is he is a legitimate child of his illegitimate father to his another woman and nobody knows it thats why he always felt that he is more protected than him he is not carrying the burden of being just an orphan and for that he felt like an outcast just taken for granted by his friend and even the inner circle of the family he live right now. From contemplating a plan against his brother his eyes grew bigger in surprise that Petters’ face turns to him so close that it awakens him by surprise. “ Don’t take this girl seriously RJ or you gonna end up putting her in your closet as your victim. So, don’t be more careful or you end up criminal..” he says to his face. The tensions accelerated so quickly in the room that everyones so quite just waiting for the fire to die down. “Yeah... she’s not even pretty and..” Jonathan says when Petter Jhon again turn to him with his pointing finger on his poor-head saying... “ No more words from you coward..” and then walk away from the crowd. “Okey shes just a little agenda for now, after this plan its over...” crosses his arms and putting it back to his pockets. “And what is your little agendas?” Ask PJ. Retrieving from the crowd doesn’t mean his out of the plan for he always look for his stupid brother to remind him always of his limitations. Seems Rj does not know limitation at all he remember it clearly elementary years he had his little gang with him pick up a gun from a drunk police and took a revenge to his little enemy that he promise to show up that night. “ I want her brother tomorrow to meet us at the back of their filthy poor public school and you Jonathan, this is gonna be your assignment..” he said and turn to his secret brother Peter John. “ So that our brother here can have his revenge and by him, by this Micheal poor human her brother she will come to us..” he added proudly. PJ got up angry and confront RJ once again “ I did not ask for this what happen on elementary school stays there. Redjay I move on cause I grow up don’t you think its childish to take a revenge of what happen when we were kids? Just kids...” he explain his point. “Ow..really bro its childish? Then lets focus to the stupid girl named Alina... Happy?!” He says to him he stand there eye to eye with Peter John. Flash back to when their are kids. They have a very unusual first meeting and the encounter begins only when his little gang and PJ small of group of friend had a miss-understanding over a games’ role. But really he just can’t accept that Pj bit him so he tried to change the role on the spot but little PJ disagree so RJ get angry. Then he punch him and he punch back a teacher middled but no one is put to the principals’ office. But Redjay still unresolved so he send a letter to him in section two while he sits on the higher class the section one but only because of his mothers’ request. He remember it clearly the letter says “ Into the plaza 12 midnight. Appear or I appear to your classroom everyday singing rhyms for a coward like you..” So the night comes and RJ with his little gang pass by a group of police already dumb and numb by their drunkeness. Then he notice a pistol just put aside and visible to the public eye. His eyes sparkled in his excitement he immediately pick up the pistol put it under his shirt and run with his friends they can’t help but lough the idea. Being innocent and arrogant is a scary thing than being all-knowing cause the next thing he remembered is pointing the pistol into his brothers’ face. Luckily his grip is too weak to manage the pistol it bounce and the ammo go straight up. The bang resound into the small town where the mayors’ mansions just near the plaza and the as well as the police station. The police got alerted the mayor who’s asleep awaken. They run home leaving PJ in the plaza with his hands on his head lying on the ground terrified. When the police arrive they saw him there and pick him up. Ask him what happen to him happen but the only thing that comes out to his mouth is Redjays’ name so the police alerted the mayor. Redjay is already exhausted as if he is drunk in sleepiness that night that he did not notice the gate opened as he entered the mansion and the pistol is still in his possession. As he reach the door the mayor in his pajama appear as if he is welcoming him. In his dream... then... PAK PAK... A double slap on his face wakes him up and shook him even worst when he notice the pistol in his hand his eyes grew bigger then trembled. His mother wanted to run to him but the mayor stop her saying... “ This time I’m in charge Teressa!!!” The voice thunder all over the mansion. He saw his mother retreated to the master bed room as his father samoned her. Then the fear crept to his being then he feels his pants cold and warm he turned red and frightened. From that moment he heard nothing as if everything goes silent and muted his soroundings begin to slomo. The mayor took the gun from his, hand it to the police as the police arrived with Peter John. HE saw the mayor hold his phone call someone and the next thing he knew he pick him up by his colar take a long walk it seems endless down the basement throw him there at the old sofa and he never move since then. So he fell asleep with his wet pants on inside the dark basement all alone the only good thing is that he never wakes up he just sleep til morning comes again. “What RJ stop day dreaming bro lets finish this meeting so that we can all go home..” PJ said to RJ. “ Okey Jonathan I want your old friend Michael tomorrow our meeting place at the back Juban National High School in the Pili Nuts tree..” thats all for now you will know the rest of the plan tomorrow all you have to do is to show up..” he explain. “Okey thats all for now guys I have to say sorry the mayor has arrive that only means we have to cancel our plan for tonight..” RJ added. He never called him dad anymore since the night the incident happened. Mayors at home means also that they have to hurry home to meet him while still in good mood. For staying home makes him easily gets irritated maybe because of the responsibility on his shoulder or because there is no room for love for him there he always feel that the Mayor do not like staying with him and his mother. With Peter John driving the car, he contemplate to that embarrassing morning after the night of polishness and stupidity. He saw his mothers’ face the moment he woke up then he remember like crying like a baby for what happened last night then after the wailing and crying his nose filled those sticky staff in addition to that he smell like urine he really can’t imagine himself that time. Just when he is almost done crying he heard someone speak from the corner of the basement in his horror he saw Peter Jhon there like a ghost. With his eye bag and pale face looks like he haven’t been sleeping all night. “Your so ugly when you cry and you look a mess you smell stinks too... what a crying baby..” say PJ to him. He shook his head whenever he remembers that day, now he can’t even bully this human his brother bacause he knows him well. Then the mayor inter the basement that morning to say... “I have good news for you two, you two are brothers as well as the bad news you two are brothers..” then the mayor laugh and added “ From now on you were bestfriend nobody has to know, understand?! This is not a request this is a command boys..”then he left the room. “Ma?...” he can only asked for confirmation for the situation is already heavy for her he can tell by the look in her eyes. And she answer by just nodding. Holding her tears she just embrace him there both numb for theres nothing that they can do about it. “So whats the other plan tomorrow? We have to be careful, dad’s. Home..” says Peter john. “ I don’t now depends on my mood..”Redjays’ answer. “ You always wants me to get angry is making me mad like is your mission in life RJ?” Then he stop the car by saying that. “ Why do you stop?, keep dri...” then he notice that his home already and his bro have to keep going for himself. “Heee...” he smerk and as soon as RJ close the door he hit the gas and took off immediately. “Heee.. arrogant.”mocking his brother he proceed inside the mansion. There he saw his father sitting already to the table as the maid and his mother preparing the dinner. Her mother approach him and say.. “Hurry while your father is in good mood just change and then come down immediately for dinner..” she said and he do exactly what she says. It is always like this whenever his father home everything must be according to his mood or cancel everything that is not goes his ways. In the dinner table everything is set his mother lead a quick prayer then everyone start eating. “Where is Peter John? i thought your friend is coming over tonight?.” Mayor Reynaldo ask Redjay. His stupid brother always put him in this situation where he always makes some excuses for him cause he does not want to see his father and he bet nobody does, in this house hold. Thats why he always think that his stupid brother is a lucky asshole and he thought what a bad luck for him and his mother to be the first family for him. “What RJ did you run out of excuses?..” the mayor says. “Not like that he said you will go either so he just wait for you to visit him or his mom..” he replied. His mother Teressa look at him hold his hand as if she’s asking him to make it cool before his father mood changes. The mayor look at them but decided to just continue eating rather say.. “I’m just going to ignore what you say its true anyway.....” then look at his wife whose face is saddened by what she hears. “How about you ungrateful brat what else did you do in addition to this chaotic political household ha?...” he said to him. “Mayor...” he was about to answer but her mother Teressa stop him. “Hon lets just enjoy our dinner we talk later, son..” she says then everybody turns silent.
