CHAPTER FIVE
TANIA’S POINT OF VIEW
I slowly opened my eyes, my vision blurry, as I blinked again and looked around. I was hit with a splitting headache and I held my head in pain, trying to sit up on the bed.
“Ouch!”
My eyes darted around the room, and I realized I was in a hospital ward. My mind flashed back to what happened and I realised I had an accident.
I gave a huge sigh. It was supposed to be the end, how come I made it out alive?
The door suddenly opened, and a doctor walked in with a young man. Wait a minute, I’ve seen this man before.
It is Noah’s best friend, Chris.
“Glad to see you’re awake, Miss Tania,” the doctor smiled. “By the way, I’m a huge fan,”
“Thanks!”
I didn’t think I had any fans left after my scandal.
“You! Why are you here? Did Noah send you?”
“No. I saw that you had an accident and I brought you here. Noah isn’t aware of this,” he blurted out.
“You’re lucky you and your baby came out alive,” the doctor told me.
My eyes bulged out in surprise. “Baby?”
“Yes! Congratulations, you are three weeks pregnant,” the doctor announced again.
I zoned out from what the doctor was saying. I am pregnant? And for Noah? I didn’t know what to make of it. The baby came at the wrong and right time. Wrong time because Noah hated me and I would be a single mother. Right time because my career as a model is over and I would have the time to focus on the child.
I have always been against abortion. I knew I wanted to keep this child. This was the only thing that made sense in my life right now in the midst of all the chaos.
I Held my tummy tightly, trying to protect my baby, and hoped that I would be a great mother for it.
“Excuse me,” the doctor said and left.
“Are you aware Noah is the cause of your downfall?” Chris asked and sat beside me. I stared at him for a second and sighed.
“I know,”
“Noah is a horrible human being. He tried to set me up too, and he betrayed me just like he did to you,”
“I still find it hard to believe, that he will do all of this to cause me pain when all I ever did was love him. Now, I don’t know what to do now that I’m pregnant,”
“Why don’t you join forces with me?”
“What?” I stared at Chris, wondering what he had up his sleeves.
“Noah betrayed us. He set me up and almost got me arrested and even set me up with some drug dealers and I almost got killed. He somehow stole my shares and now, I want revenge,”
“I’m sorry, I don’t see how that concerns me,”
“Oh, it does! If Noah learns about your baby, he will take it away from you and make Candy its stepmother. And you know how much she hates you,”
My mind traveled for a second. I have come to realize Noah is a cruel beast and he can take my child away from me and get away with it, he has the money to do that.
“Join forces with me, Tania. I’ll kickstart your career as a model in London and offer you and your child the protection you need. All I need is for you to be by my side and together we can be powerful and take revenge for everything Noah has done to us,”
My mind drifted and I thought of the damage Noah has done to me and my career. He somehow manufactured a s*x tape of me, which would forever be on the internet.
My child would grow and see my s*x tape online! This is unforgivable. Noah must pay for destroying my life.
But then again, I wasn’t sure if I could trust Chris. I sat still, my mind weighing different options as I thought of my future and that of my unborn child.
