chapter 2. meeting at the club

Devlin's p.o.v.
As I passed by the mirror, my mouth dry,i caught my disheveled reflection, I still looked good on it.
His thoughts drifted to last night encounter being summoned from earth to the realm only to draw his lips in tightly,then smile. His cousin sat down with his parents like the adored child of the family who had brought pride to them as the conqueror of the highest consorts of both genders.
He was relegated to the background.
"A demon is not to be kind,as this is not our nature said his cousin as a speech to his hearing.
He could see the contempt on their faces, "Despite being the realm's most handsome, his lack of achievements and excessive kindness made him a disappointment."
He rubbed his face, focusing on the present,there was still work to be done.
His feeding would have to be made immediately, calling his butler he made his way to the kitchen fridge.Nothing excited him there and to top it he had an early morning wood.
A man in his forties came carrying a platter of dish and setting it on the table at the dinning.devlin knew the food would only spoil his appetite.wanting to dismiss the man, i noticed him staring at my crotch.
Devlin yawned,"like what you see old man? Positioning his body well to let the man get a full view.
"Good........ morning........Mr...CEO..,this dear worker does not wish to disrespect.the butler lowered his head trying so hard not to lick his lips".
"Hmmmm......Devlin studied the worker. running his hands through his hair he let out a soft breath.it was a pity he didn't do old males.
He stilled,face scrunched don't tell me! The late CEO was crazy to have slept with the butler,he now understood the problem.he was handsome no doubt he attracted both sexes but thinking his now supposed prick had entered this man,he paled.
Leaving the drooling butler,he went looking for his next prey dressed in plaid jeans and t-shirt.
Later that day he found himself at college where he located a department and entered.gasps immediately filled the air, "someone tell this people to shut their mouths but he didn't voice it out,as he strode to an empty seat.
A few minutes later,he grew impatient drumming his fingers on the table, he turned his head right and was greeted with the site of a handsome boy,his curly brown hair framed his face given him an angelic look.
Devlin whistled, perfect! Smiling he stopped drumming and apologized to curly hair.the professor left and all eyes turned to him.curly head wasted no time in fleeing as some group of girls chased him.
At off all the group,one group of queen bees stood out, they glanced over their shoulder and winked at him as if he was a food served for their purpose.
He knew they betted on him,he was in no hurry.Arriving at the restroom a boy stood there relieving himself, he would wait till he turned and then he would give him the gift of kiss.devlin grinned
The sound started to reduce indicating that the boy had finished, Devlin's grinning grew..the boy turned
He drew the startled boy, gazing at him with a penetrating stare,would you love a kiss from me?.
The boy's heart beat hard against his ribcage,the lean boy was devilshly handsome,so irresistible looking.watching the lips move he got an urge to kiss.
Devlin watched the boy's eyes go hooded as he leaned on the boy.
The boy felt lightheaded,it was as if ,if he denied the lean boy, he would die.he didn't know who the handsome stranger was,he kissed him
As Devlin's fangs sank into the boy's neck, he felt a rush of power and guilt. The boy's eyes widened, and his body trembled. Devlin's thoughts drifted to his father's words: 'A demon is to inflict pain.
He had to do it. Throwing his head back,he let a noise .Nhhmm.......his hunger had been quenched, he pushed the now fainted or would he say expired boy.the boy falling with a soft thud and very pale.
Stooping he checked the boy's pulse,it was faint.
He let the air come out of his lungs, with a huff.
Rearranging his clothes,he was startled by a buzz and started searching for the source of noise,cursing he finally located the irritating thing from his pockets near his privates.
His secretary was on dial,what?
Mr Luther would like to strike a deal with you today at the lily's bar,said not to be late.
Devlin removed his phone from his ears, stared at it and placed it beside his ear sighed clicked the end button and strode out of the restroom.
His phone buzzed again,his eyes narrowed into slits.Am I your husband? Am I suppose to be with you all the time? He snapped
The annoying monotone voice came again,a beautiful female is here to make a contract.
Devlin's lips twitched,his voice a hoarse wispher " a beautiful female?.
"Yes. came the voice that had only delivered a depressing message but had done well today.
"I am on my way.
Mirabella's p.o.v
They finally bundled me back to the room after a frustrating fleeing attempt, striping me off my panties as I wore practically nothing upwards,my tities jiggled I was glad it was small.
We were good to go,I wobbled on my ridiculously pointed heels,I subconscious touched my face,it felt weird when I sought our mirror to see a complete stranger staring back at me.
" Are you sure I wouldn't forget myself there as I could hardly recognize myself . eyebrows puckered,I asked them.
You would do just fine,they affirmed . bidding our grandmother goodbyes but not without her looking at her strangely.
Strobe lights, colored lights, speakers, a stage, bars with bar stools, small round tables with stools,washrooms, waitresses dressed skimpily with glowing trays of drinks or shooters or empty bottles/glasses,
shots lined up at the bar, bartenders, bottles of booze lined up…
The stereo's blast knocked the wind out of her, but fortunately, she avoided sensory overload." the place was crowded,bodies writhed and rubbed against each other in dance.business was going on in a far secluded corner.
They made their way to the bartender to order drinks.
"You will have to loosen up,Sheila told me as she downed her whiskey.
Nodding my head I forced a smile.looking at the crowd of people and chatting for a little Mariam called our attention.
There's this hot dude that was seen at Chloe's university today, Chloe's says that the mere sight of him she wanted to bare herself to him ...her eyes flicked from my face to Sheila with amusement laced voice.
"Almost dropping my glass at the words that sprayed out of her mouth, did she have herself checked?
"Well it has been a while since I got laid,seems he really was a hottie ,if he could take three of us.sheila said as she envisioned it
Mariam let out a long suffering sigh, saying "to feel his hands roam and caress..
Her gaze drifted,haunted by the memories of her deceased ex lover manipulation.sge forced a smile, hiding her pain.To think that she had been in love with him.....
Coming back from my drift,I grimaced as if I had beaten into moldy plum,oh not in the entire world would I join in their ridiculous fantasy.
Interrupting their fantasies,I pointed to a handsome curly haired boy watching us "Mariam think you should take that job..
She squealed and launched from her seat,the boy stifled a smile as she reached him in no time, blowing me a kiss.
Sheila blew her a kiss on my behalf , spotting someone that she followed out of sight. I was left alone once more.
Phew......
My gaze drifted to the far end of the club,my glass at my lips in an attempt to down it,when I halted......the eyes studied her with a predator’s unwavering attention, the dark eyes radiated a fierce, uncompromising
intelligence in them.the muscles at the back of her neck tightened......
I had come prepared,I downed my scotch and in that second the potency held me,I saw him leave his partner and advance towards me
All eyes were drawn to him as moth to a flame, reaching me he parted his sensual lips
"Hi..his hoarse voice sent a ripple of awareness,the hairs at the back of her neck rose.
Although he boasted a handsome face and model physique, his eyes betrayed a darker nature."
"Patrick,he stretched his hands, eyes locked on hers like a magnet.she was unruffled by the stare.
"Melissa,I accepted his outstretched hands.
Laughing and scratching his check,he replied " I am quite sure that's not your real name,is it? One eyebrow drawn up.
Well,I would say the same for you,Patrick,she replied with emphasis on the name.
Nodding his head ,he held his drink ." So what brought a beauty like you here because it looks to me you would at any chance fly if you were given a chance.
I smiled,well he was right.it's my birthday today
"Oh..... happy birthday!! His eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled,would you mind if I treat you?.
I shrugged,the best I could do was to enjoy it,my internal conflict pushed to the back.
Yeah! Our birthday girl shouldn't be alone,you should celebrate.
We chatted and drank our drink, a bet to see who would win "last man standing which I lost,leaning against the table drunkenly.I stared fixedly at him,his eyes were unusually red.was i so drunk that I now saw things.
I didn't recall saying something but even though his face was devoid of emotions,I saw a shift,I had said something upsetting.
Getting up,he left to join his furious partner. I sulked.
Proceeding to leave,as I swayed on my feet having taken just a few steps.
I froze.
There he stood the ,like a sent karma at the door
" He was dead ....... Wasn't he?........
My heart stilled, eyebrows furrowed,eyes wide open,my head felt like it was filled with straw.
I felt myself falling,only to be halted midway.
I turned to see who it was..,.
