We arrive at the club after the girls, as I can see them standing outside waiting for us. The outside is pretty crowded with a lot of students so that means it’s going to be full tonight. We walk towards them and join the queue as well. Let me just explain this club, it’s called Ötkert and it’s pretty popular club here, mostly because it has 5 different dance floors where they play 5 different types of music. Obviously because it’s so popular the line is always long but today it seems to be moving fast so I think we’ll be inside in maybe 10 minutes.

I was talking to the girls about who they were going to hook up with tonight when I felt hands wrap around my waist, I tilted my head back to see who it was and recognized Donnie. I smiled up at him and he returned it with a cute little smirk. When I lowered my head and joined in the conversation again he placed his head on top of mine 

‘What is he doing?’ Was the only thing going on in my head, I mean a month ago he made it pretty clear that what happened that night was a one time thing, and wouldn’t happen again? Let me just live in the moment and see where this night takes me.

Like how I said 10 minutes later we were walking into the club and heading straight for the hip hop/ RnB dance floor, as soon as we enter I turn around and grab Donnies ear to whisper in his ear because the music was so loud 

“I’m going to the bathroom, can you please get me a whiskey and coke” 

“Okay baby girl, find me at the bar when you’re done and be safe” he says before grabbing the guys and walking towards the bar. I grab Jennifer’s hand and drag her to the bathroom 

“IM LOSING MY s**t” I scream as soon as we enter 

“Am I crazy? Or is he like giving me signals?” I ask her once I’ve calmed down 

“Signals? The boy is giving you way more than just signals. He has practically claimed you for the night! No other guy will make a move after the way he was holding outside. I mean I almost screamed” Jennifer says while laughing 

“What do I do? Should I act cool or like reciprocate?” I ask while washing my sweaty hands

“I’m all for going after what you want. There’s a lot of pretty girls here you need to claim your man before someone else claims him!” She said while holding my shoulders 

“I’m ready”

“Are you sure you’re ready? Cause you don’t sound ready”

“IM READY!”

“I can’t hear you! I said ARE YOU READY” 

“Ooooooooooh who lives in a pineapple under the sea? “ 

“SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS” some random girl who was in the other stall screams 

Jennifer looks between us and drops her head, I look at the girl and we both start laughing 

“OMG I’m so glad you caught onto what I was doing because my friend Jennifer hates cartoons so wouldn’t have got it !” I say after we finish laughing 

“I’m so sorry I just couldn’t help but hear your motivational talk, I had to throw myself in! Good luck with this guy of yours” she says while she leaves 

“You’re such a kid” Jennifer says while shaking her head 

“Don’t judge me! It’s sponge bob “ I say as we leave 

I walk towards the bar while my other hand is holding onto Jennifer.

I immediately see everyone standing by the bar, well actually the girls are dancing the guys are just standing and drinking, with a new found courage I strut up to Donnie and place me hands on his chest while giving him a full on smile 

“Hey” 

“Hey, here’s your drink” he says while lifting a glass in my direction. I take it from his hand and give him a side hug before I turn around and walk towards the girls who are dancing. I’m not the worlds like greatest dancer but I’ve been told for a white girl I can really dance not to brag or anything. Twerk by Cardi B comes on and I scream with Jennifer cause this is our jam! She immediately turns around and starts twerking on me and I start grinding into her while she twerks. This continues till the end of the song. A couple of songs pass before I fell some random guy try and dance behind me, I know it’s not Donnie because he’s in my view at the bar, I immediately try step away from the guy but he holds onto my hips with a strong grip. In a panic I look up and grab a Jeff’s hand since he was the closest one to me and tug his hand, he turns and realizes what’s happening before stepping in 

“Sorry this is my girl” he says to the guy, who holds his hands up in surrender and backs off 

“Thanks Jeff” I continue dancing with the girls 

DONNIES POV

God she’s so beautiful, that’s the only thing I can think about as I stare at her as she dances with Jennifer and the girls. The truth is I love her, I always have. It was always so painful to see her with Howard, he didn’t deserve her! He didn’t even treat her right, it made me so mad. It’s been a year, the longest year of my life, watching her cry over him, watching her smile at him, all of it was terrible and now I didn’t know what to do. 

After Poland I freaked out, I didn’t know if she liked me or if it was the alcohol that pushed her to kiss me, so I panicked and told her it meant nothing but boy was that a lie. I haven’t been able to sleep the last month because every time I do all I remember is that night when I kissed her, when I held her. I planned to stay away from her because I wanted her to be fully healed and ready to move on from her relationship with Howard but gosh I couldn’t hold myself back that night. It was like my body was being drawn towards her and I couldn’t fight the temptation any longer. I don’t want to be her rebound, I want her to want me just as much as I want her. That’s why I need to give her space but today was different. When she opened that door, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. In that beautiful black dress that showed off that gorgeous body of hers, I knew I’d have to fight off guys left, right and center tonight for her. 

As soon as we arrived at the club it was already obvious, as I could see almost every guy staring at her ass while we were waiting in the line to enter the club, so I went and held her to make sure it was clear that she was with me. It worked because they turned away since I was covering the view of her ass from behind, if they want an ass to stare at they can stare at mine all they want no problem! We entered the club and I was talking to the guys at the bar just having a good time when I noticed Jeff grab Bell’s hand and a guy move away. 

Was he making moves on her? I’m so stupid I wasn’t paying attention and I almost lost her. I don’t know what to do! I want Bell but I’m so scared that our relationship could ruin our friendship and she’s really my female best friend, I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have her anymore. It’s not fair of me to tell her we can’t be together and then get jealous when other guys make their moves. 

I need fresh air, I turn around and order another whiskey and coke from the bartender.

“Hey, I’m going outside” I shout at David while moving towards the door, I see him nod in understanding. Once Im outside the chilly air awakens me. I take out my phone and start scrolling through Twitter to distract myself while drinking my drink.

BELL POV 

I was busy dancing and laughing with the girls when I see Donnie walk towards the door, confused I look towards the guys and see David wave his hand in an ‘air’ motion, ohhhh he must’ve wanted some fresh air. I feel Jennifer touch my shoulder before she pulls me close to shout in my ear 

“Go after him” she says 

“Why?” 

“He’s obviously not comfortable seeing you with other guys” 

“But he’s the one who said we shouldn’t change anything between us ?” 

“Okay well we’ve been here for almost 2 hours and he’s spent all that time at the bar starring at you” 

“Stop lying, why would he be starring at me?” 

“Duh he likes you, so go! “ she gave me a big push towards the door.

I go outside and try to find Donnie, but with his big stature it’s not impossible. His standing in the corner looking at his phone, I walk up from behind hi, and slide my arms around him, while burying my head in his back, he jumps from the surprise before turning around and looking down at me 

“Hi” I smile up at him

“Hi to you too” I smiles back, gosh I love that smile 

“Why are you outside? Are you not having a good time?” I say while putting my chin on his chest so I can look up at him, with my arms still around him 

“I just needed some fresh air” he says while brushing my air back 

Anyone looking at us right now would definitely think we were a couple 

“Are you sure? You’re usually twerking more than me” I say with a giggle 

I sighs looking away from me, I grab his face and make him look at me “Donnie what’s wrong? I can tell you’re not happy about something” I say with worry 

“It’s you” he says 

“Woah woah slow down buddy what did I do?” I say taking a step back from him 

He grabs me and pulls me towards him, with his hands around my waist, his one hand grabs my chin and forces me to look up while his other hand goes down to my ass slowly rubbing it and grabbing it lightly. He starts to slowly move closer and closer to me until his lips are less than an inch away from mine the he pauses.

“Donnie” 

“Yes” 

“Why aren’t you kissin-“ I didn’t even finish my question before his lips attacked mine. I don’t know I was drunk in Poland the first time we kissed but I swear this kiss was even better than that! His lips were so soft and his tongue was so calm, I can’t feel my legs. I put my hand on his shoulder for support while we continue to kiss. Whenever I kiss Donnie it feels like it’s the first time I’ve ever kissed someone. I’ve never been kissed with so much emotion before, it almost feels like my soul is complete? Damn what a kiss. 

I stop kissing him and put my head on his chest 

“Dammit Donnie, you told me it was a one time thing” 

“I know I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist. You look beautiful as always” he says while rubbing my back. God if only he knew what those fingers did to me every time he touched me! 

“Let’s just enjoy the night okay?” I ask him after a minute of silence, he nods 

“Okay” 

And that’s how we spent the rest of the night outside talking, drinking and definitely kissing…okay mostly kissing but who could blame me? Donnie has this way of making me feel like the only girl in the world with those lips of his! I was sitting on his lap comparing our hand sizes, which every girl knows is the first step towards marriage! Once I’ve held my palm against yours and they look beautiful we’re obviously soulmates! Anyways Donnie takes his phone out to look at his phone to check the time 

“I’ve got to go soon, it’s almost 4am and I need a good couple of hours of sleep” he says while hugging me to his chest and kissing my forehead 

“I understand, I’ll go back and party with everyone else. Do you want me to come watch your game tomorrow?” I say quietly. If he says no I’ll kill myself on the spot 

“Of course I do! I love it when you come watch my rugby games. You’re the sexiest, best, loudest cheerleader there” he says while laughing, I hit his arm 

“Shut up! I don’t do it on purpose I just get excited and then the screaming follows” I blush 

“Well I love hearing your voice cheering me on so don’t worry” we stand up from the bench and I remove his jacket from my shoulders while giving it to him 

“Thank you for letting me wear your jacket” 

“No keep it, I’ll get it from you tomorrow. I know you didn’t bring a jacket and I don’t want you to get cold”

I pull his head closer to mine to get one last kiss, for lord knows how long since we didn’t talk about what happens now, I guess we were both scared of what this would mean for us. 

“Bye, I’ll see you tomorrow okay” he says after the kiss 

“Bye” I say softly as he starts to walk away 

I go back into the club 5 minutes later and look around for everyone and find them chilling in the VIP area with some other black people. I make my way in and give the bouncer the sexiest look I could possible make and he opens the little red thingy for me to enter. As soon as I enter Jennifer runs to me and starts laughing 

“What’s so f*****g funny b***h?” 

“The fact that you disappeared with Donnie for hours” I blush, even though I doubt she could see with the darkness in the club. 

“Shut up, I’ll tell you everything later” we start dancing again and that’s when I notice that the other girls are all dancing on guys I’ve seen on campus but never spoken to, I mean their okay nothing compared to my Donnie….what did I jus-? Okay focus Bell you’re not even dating the guy. I look at can’t see Jeff and David

“Where are the guys?” I ask Jennifer 

“They said they were going to look for some white girls to hook up with”I laugh because Jeff and David rarely ever get with black girls, which is weird for me but that’s none of my business I guess

Eventually time passes and it’s almost 6, it’s time to go home! We exit the club and the sun is already starting to rise. If Donnies game is at 12, I need to get home ASAP so I can sleep and not have eye bags tomorrow, or today? Okay the rule is if you haven’t slept then the day hasn’t changed yet so tomorrow! 

“Hey Jennifer, Can we get food on the way home at the drive through or something? I’m too lazy to walk all the way to Mcds and everyone will be there I want to get home and sleep” 

“Okay fine, bye guys we’re going in the opposite direction” we wave bye to everyone 

“Actually wait for us ladies” screams Jeff, we turn and see Jeff and David walking in our direction 

“You guys live closer to our place so we decided to come with you guys, is that cool” 

David asks once they catch up with us 

“Lol of course, we’d never turn down the opportunity to spend time with you guys “ says Jennifer while hooking her arm with David’s 

“Soooo how was your night Bell, barely saw you” Jeff says with a smirk on his face, I blush while turning my head to the side 

“OMG she’s blushing!” They scream 

“Shut up you guys. Nothing happened besides it’s none of your business anyways so leave me alone” I try say in a serious voice 

“Okay calm down Ms Donnie. Clearly he didn’t kiss you enough cause you’re still extra bitter” 

I gasp “ how did you know we kissed?” I ask 

“Babe your lips were swollen and your lipstick mysteriously went all over Donnies face” says Jeff while laughing 

“Aggg this is just so embarrassing!” I hold my face in my hands trying to cover my red cheeks “I don’t even know what this means Donnie made it clear last time that we were just friends “ 

“Well he was definitely not acting like a friend tonight that’s for sure” responds Jennifer “I hope everything works out. We can be family!!” 

“Wow Jennifer I mean sure we’d be family but I thought you’d be more happy about me being in a loving relationship “ 

“Yeah that too. I’ve seen Donnie with his exes he is the perfect gentleman. You have nothing to worry about” 

“Okay enough chit chat let’s hail a cab and get home”
