Chapter 1:Introduction
After being betrayed by her best friend in college, Lea Candice White decided to never fall in love again, no matter how Brandon convinced her to give it a try. She had lost hope and trust in men. Lea, being born and raised by both her parents, was interested in being a powerful independent woman. She was a qualified interior designer and property developer after she graduated from the University of Monash in Australia with Brandon Hamilton. She moved back to her mother’s home in South Africa to begin her career in interior design. She was an intern in a few companies before she decided it was time to start something of her own. After five years, she became the President of the biggest interior design studio in Africa, located in the popular location of Sandton City. A 25-year-old woman invited her newly found best friend, Brandon Hamilton, to help her accomplish her dreams and become the COO of her company, Exquisite Interior Design Studio.
Lea and Brandon have known each other since their first year at Monash University when they were both 17 years old. Brandon, being born and originally from South Africa, it was easy for Lea to have a friend who gave her a tour and learn about the beautiful country. Lea’s daddy was Australian, and her mother was South African; they met when Lea’s mother, Mrs. White, had visited Australia for a job. She was known as a powerful advocate globally. Mr. White was a billionaire who owned companies all over the world. When he met Mrs. White, he decided to open a branch in South Africa because it was love at first sight with Mrs. White, who in her youth was a beautiful, intelligent, and gorgeous woman. They got married in South Africa and had their first child, Liam, Lea’s brother. Mr. White decided it was time to resign and hand over his companies to people whom he trusted most while he built his family. After Lea was born, they all moved back to Australia for a new beginning.Mrs. White had also resigned as an Advocate because she had achieved a lot in her life; it was time to focus on family. All the properties in South Africa were sold, including their mansion. When Lea decided to move back, his parents were against her decision, but they later supported it because they knew their daughter has always had her own path to success. They bought her a 2-bedroom apartment in Sandton, Morningside, while she builds a foundation for her own career. When Exquisite started taking off, Brandon lost his mother, and he didn't know his daddy. Lea took over in helping him. They had a strong bond; people around them thought they were a couple because they looked perfect together. After 3 years of Exquisite, Lea and Brandon established another company, Exquisite Diamond Properties. Brandon then went on to purchase his first apartment at the age of 25.Lea started building her mansion at the age of 24. She never found what she wanted when looking for the place of her dreams. As a property developer who had just earned her Ph.D. in Property Development, she decided to buy a plot and build what she wanted. Lea’s life was progressing rapidly, and her career was taking off without her parents' constant help, but she did it with her friend Brandon. One day, Lea and Brandon decided to go out to celebrate his 25th birthday in a club. Brandon was easy-going, handsome, and his blue eyes always made ladies fall in love with him at first sight. However, as he was coming out of the club, he got into a fight. This guy had been harassing a beautiful lady, forcing her to do things she didn't want to do. He found the lady very beautiful, dark-skinned, with a small waist, well-dressed, and not too intoxicated, but she was tipsy. He decided to intervene to save the beautiful woman. Lea was surprised to see Brandon coming out holding a woman’s hand, and his face had turned red. “Lea, we have to move from this club; it is not safe for ladies.” He didn’t even ask the lady’s name but continued to hold her. “She is beautiful. Is she your next one? You know what I mean, Brandon.” Lea, being scared of disrespecting the woman, cut her words short. “Thank you for saving my life, but I will take my leave now.” She was now nervous. “You are welcome, but you didn’t tell me your name.” The lady left without saying anything. Brandon and Lea decided to call it a night.
