Chapter 1:Arrival at the Shore
The heat hit first.
Not the kind you notice slowly—but the kind that wraps around you the second you step out of the car, thick and salty, carrying the smell of ocean water, sunscreen, and something electric in the air.
Seaside Heights.
The boardwalk buzzed like it never left—music blaring from distant speakers, rides clanking overhead, people shouting, laughing, living. It was chaos.
It was home.
A black SUV rolled down the street slowly, bass vibrating through the doors. Inside, Leonardo sat in the front seat, one hand resting on the dashboard, eyes locked ahead.
He didn’t smile.
Not yet.
“Yo, we’re really back,” the driver said casually.
Leonardo nodded once. “Yeah… we are.”
But his voice didn’t carry excitement.
It carried weight.
🏠 The House
The house came into view like a memory brought back to life.
Same white siding. Same balcony. Same door that had seen more fights, hookups, secrets, and breakdowns than anyone could count.
The SUV stopped.
For a second, nobody moved.
Then—
Leonardo opened the door.
The heat rushed in, and with it… everything else.
He stepped out, taking a deep breath, scanning the house like he was reading something invisible.
“Yeah…” he muttered. “This summer’s gonna be different.”
The trunk popped open behind him.
A second car pulled up.
And just like that—
The summer began.
🎉 The Crew Returns
Lauren stepped out next, adjusting her sunglasses, her long hair catching the sunlight. She took one look at the house… then at Leonardo.
“You feel it too, don’t you?”
He didn’t answer right away.
“Feel what?” he asked instead.
She smirked faintly. “Don’t do that. You always do that when something’s on your mind.”
He grabbed a bag from the trunk. “We just got here. Let’s not start analyzing vibes already.”
Lauren tilted her head. “I’m not analyzing. I’m noticing.”
Before he could respond—
“WHERE’S MY ROOM?!”
Snooki’s voice cut through the moment like a firecracker as she came running up the driveway, dragging her suitcase behind her.
“I swear if someone took my bed this year—”
“You say that every year,” Vinny said, stepping out behind her.
“And every year I mean it!”
Pauly D arrived right after, blasting music from a portable speaker. “Yeahhh buddy! Shore house is BACK!”
He spun in a circle, taking in the scene like it was a stage built just for him.
“This is what I’m talking about!”
JWoww followed, calm but alert, her eyes already scanning everything—the house, the windows, the energy.
Mike “The Situation” stepped out last, stretching like he was preparing for something bigger than just a summer.
“Fresh start,” he said. “No drama. Just good vibes.”
Vinny laughed. “You always say that.”
“And I mean it every time.”
Leonardo glanced at him.
“We’ll see.”
🚪 Crossing the Threshold
The front door creaked as it opened.
Inside, the house smelled like dust and memory.
Nothing had changed.
The couch still sat in the same spot. The kitchen still held echoes of late-night arguments. The walls… if they could talk, they’d scream.
Snooki ran in first. “SHOTGUN ROOM!”
“You can’t call shotgun inside the house!” Vinny shouted.
“I just did!”
Pauly tossed his bag down and turned the music up louder. “First night, let’s go!”
But not everyone moved.
Lauren stood near the entrance, her fingers brushing lightly against the wall.
Something felt…
Off.
Not wrong.
Just…
Awake.
👀 The First Sign
Leonardo noticed her hesitation.
“You coming?” he asked.
She looked at him slowly. “This house feels… different.”
He shrugged. “It’s been a while.”
“No,” she said. “It’s not that.”
A beat passed.
Then—
THUD.
The sound came from above.
Heavy.
Sudden.
Unmistakable.
Everyone froze.
Snooki peeked out from the hallway. “Okay… who’s already messing around?”
“No one’s upstairs,” JWoww said immediately.
Vinny looked up. “That came from the attic.”
Pauly laughed nervously. “Yeah, nah, I’m not doing horror movie stuff right now.”
Mike crossed his arms. “Probably just something falling. Old house.”
But Lauren didn’t move.
“Or something moved it.”
🪜 The Attic
Leonardo stepped forward.
“Alright. Let’s check it out.”
“Why is it always you?” Snooki said. “Why can’t the ghost go check itself?”
No one laughed.
The group slowly made their way up the stairs, each step creaking louder than it should.
The attic door stood at the end of the hallway.
Closed.
Silent.
Waiting.
Leonardo reached for the handle.
Paused.
Then opened it.
🌫 Inside the Unknown
Dust filled the air as sunlight cut through a small window.
The attic was empty.
Too empty.
Except for one thing.
A table.
And on it…
A board.
Intricate. Carved. Old—but not worn. Symbols twisted across its surface, unfamiliar but intentional.
Placed.
Not forgotten.
Vinny stepped closer. “Was this here before?”
“No,” Mike said immediately.
Snooki leaned in. “It’s kinda cool… like vintage spooky or something.”
“Don’t touch it,” JWoww warned.
Too late.
A piece shifted.
On its own.
⚠️ The Moment Everything Changed
CLICK.
The sound echoed louder than it should have.
Snooki screamed. “NOPE!”
Pauly jumped back. “Yo, who touched that?!”
“No one!” Vinny said.
Lauren’s eyes locked onto the board. “It moved.”
Leonardo stepped closer, slowly.
Carefully.
Like he was being pulled.
“It’s just a trick,” he said—but his voice lacked conviction.
The board… responded.
Letters carved themselves into the wood.
Not scratched.
Formed.
“WELCOME BACK.”
🧠 The Shift
No one spoke.
No one breathed.
Because deep down—
They all felt it.
This wasn’t random.
This wasn’t decoration.
This was…
Intentional.
Lauren whispered, “It knows we’re here.”
Vinny shook his head. “No. There’s gotta be an explanation.”
Pauly said quietly, “Then explain that.”
No one could.
🌊 Outside vs Inside
Outside, the boardwalk roared.
Inside, silence took over.
Two worlds.
One normal.
One not.
And they were standing right in the middle of it.
🧩 The Hook
Leonardo stared at the board.
Something about it felt…
Familiar.
Not physically.
But internally.
Like it wasn’t just showing something.
It was waiting.
For them.
For him.
Lauren looked at him. “We shouldn’t touch it.”
He didn’t respond.
The air shifted again.
The window slammed shut.
The door creaked behind them.
And the board—
Stayed still.
Like it had said everything it needed to.
For now.
🔥 Final Line
Leonardo took one step back, his voice low.
“…This summer just started.”
And already—
Nothing would ever be the same.
