/Xavier's POV/ I woke up feeling a body sprawled on me in a silly way. I groaned because I knew, that no one can be sprawled like that except Austin. I made my way out of bed moving to my bathroom to wash my teeth like my normal, routine but I didn't bath yet. I changed into a black tank top, green sports shorts, and white Adidas sneakers before moving to the treadmill. I started slowly before I increased the tempo. I saw Austin groan in bed but didn't stand but I knew he was awake, just lazy to get his butt off the bed. "You're disturbing my sleep, Xavier." He complained probably talking about the sound of the thread mill. "I think you should get your ass up." I struggled to say as I was running out of breath. "But I want to sleep in some more." He cooed and I rolled my eyes because only girls do that. "Don't you have work, you do know I'm on a two-day break right now, did you not?" I asked sounding totally out of breath. "Holy s**t Xavier why didn't you tell me?" He asked hurrying out of bed as he rushed to my bathroom. "I think I just told you." I frowned scoffing as slowed down my pace on the treadmill. While I grab a towel I already had set next to the treadmill to dab my sweats off me. I moved to the bathroom and clean my face only to realize Austin was in the shower. "Austin you've got to get out of there." I let out in exasperation. "Come one man, you aren't going to work and I'm an hour late. Have a little pity, will you? The last thing I want right now is to approach your dad in the disciplinary's office. I'm bound to get promoted soon. That's not good for me at all." Austin sounded distressed and frustrated. He came out of the shower before wrapping the towel around his torso. "I don't think you have a good bath." my brows furrowed as my eyes fell on the half-washed soap lather on his hair. "There's no rule against that, is there?" he ignored me and walk out of the bathroom while I chuckle before making my way into the shower. By the time I was done Austin was arranging his hair when I came out of your bathroom. "Thankfully there are still some packaged clothes in there." he grinned and I raised my brows at him in question. "Why do you even buy clothes you don't use?" he asked and I briefly scanned him through. He was clad in an ivory plaid shirt and silver suit pants with- "There's no way you're going with my Italian designer shoes. I just got those- "Like 13months before you move. Don't be silly Xavier. I'm going downstairs to have breakfast. I guess I'll see you when your break is over. Oh, and good luck with Crystal by the way." Austin paused by the door to finish his statement. "Bloodsucker," I muttered right before he closed the door. "I heard that." He shouted at the door and I giggled moving into my closets to dress for the day. /Tracy's POV/ We arrived at the house of the woman we were supposed to act like his daughter's house after we had settled at the hotel. It was a nice place. A family home. Chris told me the woman had two daughters who died in a car crash in England. She refused to believe her daughters were dead till the last moment she died. So she left the keys to her home in a vault believing one day her daughters were going to come home. Her daughter's names were Casey and Caitlin. The identity they were using. Tracy sighed and continue to explore the house which the woman's neighbor had led us in. She told us the woman was very nice and always partake in charity work. It was sad the way she died, we were able to inherit the house as her daughters through work of Chris. He did everything, not even the woman's lawyer said anything about it with the files and documents we provided. So officially to everyone we were Caitlin and Casey. Most were kinda confused because the woman's daughters weren't twins. But we managed to escape that through. After an hour of working to appear officially as Caitlin and Casey, we made our way back to the hotel so we could have adequate rest and prepare to move into the house. It had really been a long day but I didn't go back with Chris and Tracy immediately. I decided to explore Los Angeles first. I didn't know how I got tears in my eyes as I dig my hands into my leather jacket walking the crowdy part of Los Angeles thinking how love could have been easy for me. This was my home, I could have grown up here. Go to a real college, be a normal person, I could have lived a normal life. Alexander took that away from me, from us. I tried to control my tears but I couldn't. I found a corner and sobbed. Now my life is bound to some stupid assassin league. Assassinating until I retire. I wanted a normal life, go to high school, and college, have a job, get married, and all kinds of things normal people do. I sobbed louder until I run out of tears. I sighed cleaned my eyes and made my way out of the middle of two apartment buildings I stood crying. I made my way to Disneyland after grabbing a taxi. I sat under the patio tent watching happy kids running around and having them. How lucky they were. I sighed watching more people until I saw someone that looked like the guy I met in Seattle I shot up to my feet and tried to catch up with the person but after a while of running after him, I saw him with a young girl. Took me a while to figure it wasn't him I saw. He was taller, built, his eyes were gunmetal and very oval, and his hair was jet black or probably raven. He was a perfect guy. Wouldn't deny I haven't been thinking about him. It's kinda crazy to admit I wanted him again, I sighed and turned back heading towards the patio I was seated before my phone rang and I tried picking it up but a silly guy bumped into me making me drop my phone in reaction. I bent to take the phone but my brows instantly furrowed at the voice I heard. "Sorry please." that voice, it couldn't be, he was in Seattle. I grab my phone and tried to catch up with the man that had bumped into me but I froze when I was three meters away from him. Why? Because I reminded myself. I didn't have a life. I was an assassin, he could get hurt. I sighed as a tear slipped down my eyes and I turned heading away from him as I left the cab to grab a taxi home. I had just settled in the car when I heard my name...my new name being called. It was the same name I'd told him. I had a choice, I could wait or go. "Go please," I instructed the driver who did just that. My mind was filled up with so many questions. "He was in Seattle, I saw him in Seattle, I think he had gone there for business. Maybe that was the reason why he was in a hotel. I sighed and tried to leave it all behind me. He was a businessman, a rich dude who had everything. I'm just an assassin who loved what we shared once. My head was rested on the window glass so I was able to make out a black cabriolet following us from the car mirror. "Could that be him?" I thought out loud as the car continue to overtake other cars in front of him. Was he trying to catch up with me? This is not good. I thought, I made the cab driver pull over and entered a coffee shop I saw. "Good day, what can I get you- "I'm sorry where's your restroom?" I cut the young waitress short and she pointed to the corridor next to the counter I hurried for it. I've entered countless coffee shops and restaurants so I know they always have an entrance at the back. It's where they take their groceries and the kinds of stuff they use in making their menu. Before I snuck to the kitchen I heard Xavier asking the waitress I had left about me, he was asking about a girl who had just entered the shop, and why was my heart warmed up because of that. I smiled before moving out through the back and then grab another Taxi right after I saw the cabriolet following me parked in front of the coffee shop. /Xavier's POV/ I had just seen Austin out after we had breakfast together when my sister came yelling at me. How fast the word flies. I thought as she continue to rant not giving me a chance to comprehend. "Hey relax, what is it?" I asked but her voice was too hoarse to explain properly with sobbing. "I love him. I love him, Xavier. How could you? She croaked sobbing loud and I exhaled deeply. "He doesn't deserve you, Emily- "And you do?" She retorted sharply and I shut my eyes tight. I was expecting this drama but I didn't expect he'd be so soon. "I'm sorry Emily but what he did was wrong. He shouldn't have hit you. It was wrong of him to do that to you. He doesn't deserve you, trust me." My words only received a snort. She moved to the dining table grab her keys and dash out. "What happened?" I take it as my non had been listening to us as she made her way down the stairs looking gorgeous as ever. "Her boyfriend bruised her up and I also bashed him up, I just did what any brother would have done, now she's so mad at me, I have a feeling the dude broke up with her and she's so upset with me. What was I supposed to do? To continue to watch her getting beaten by one stupid dude who doesn't know her worth. I can't stand that guy." my face was furrowed tightly in a deep frown as I explained the situation to my mom. Of course, she gets what I mean, but Emily doesn't. She doesn't even wanna listen to me. I was only trying to protect her what's her problem? "Xavier" my mom called and I raised my head to meet her eyes. "Emily is young. She might think she's old enough but she isn't. She might think she can make her own decisions now but she can't. You did the right thing, the guy should consider himself lucky because If I was the first person to find out about this he could be in jail for the rest of his filthy life. How dare he?" my mom was frowning now. "Frown doesn't look good on you mom. I'll take care of it. Don't you worry?" I assured and my mom nodded. "Find her and bring her to me, Xavier. Only God knows what she'll do. She's so mad right now. And her driving when she's that furious is bad. I don't want her getting hurt so please bring her home will you?" my mom requested and I nodded. "Sure mom," I muttered in agreement heading upstairs to grab the car remote to my cabriolet and also to grab a shirt. I was only in a T-shirt which was hugging me tightly. So I wore a dress shirt on it but I left it flown and unbuttoned. It was my high school identity. I recalled my dressing style when I was in high school. I was the bad boy type. I got into my car and tried calling my sister but she was not picking up. So I decided to track her phone. I could always do that. I wondered why she was heading to the Disney park. That was quite far from home. I stepped on the gas and tried to step up with her as she was still on the road but my navigation system showed me she stopped in front of the park. I got down and studied the surrounding. Disney park was one of the tourist attractions in Los Angeles so it was always crowded and clumsy. My eyes caught on my sister moving past some guys who were performing to a few young adult audiences and I hurried to catch up with her in the process bumping into someone. "Sorry please." I apologized trying to catch up with my sister and I did catch up with her. She stood watching Allen kiss a blond girl even with a broken hand, That's impressive. Allen's friends surrounded him cheering him up as he continue to kiss the blonde. She really shouldn't be watching that. Emily turned to me with tears in her eyes and I exhaled deeply before she ran into my arms hugging me tightly. "You're right. He doesn't deserve me," she muttered into my arms and I smiled. Thankfully she got my point. "You can't give him the satisfaction of him breaking your heart Emily. You have to show him you don't care." I told Emily and she smiled before moving toward the group of Allen's friends who froze on seeing her. "Hey, jerk. Just wanted to tell you it's over. You really didn't deserve me." I laughed as I watched her talk confidently without talking. Allen met my eyes but I averted his gaze concentrating on my sister but she seems to be looking behind me. "Who's that lady? She seems to be looking at you." She informed me and I turned but the lady was turning too. "I don't-" my words got stuck in my throat as the lady's face ringed a bell. Could that be her? She was in Seattle? But she said she came to visit so she might be here. In Los Angeles. "Please give me a minute," I told my sister running after the lady. That body, that stature. I got stunned as I watched her approach a taxi. I couldn't be wrong. It was her. "Casey!" I called loudly hoping for her to hear me but she didn't. I ran to my car, pressed on the remote, and got in trying to keep up with the cab taxi had gotten into. They were farther from me but a cab is no faster than my cabriolet. There were too many cars in front of me so trying to actually catch up with them wasn't easy. I did try and soon her cab was pulling over in front of a coffee shop. I took the taxi place at its parking point immediately after it left before climbing down from my car to meet and catch up with Casey. "Good day is there anything I can help you with?" the young lady gave me a suspicious look as I looked too anxious after hurrying into the shop. "A lady entered just now where is she?" I asked anxiously as the lady continue to give me a suspicious look. "She asked if she could use the restroom," she answered nervously and I sighed in relief. She's coming back. I might actually get to meet her again. I nodded and moved to an empty table. "Is there anything I can get you?" The young lady asked again. I picked up the menu on the table to order something to calm my nerves. I was happy, anxious, and nervous to meet Casey again. No woman had ever made me feel like that, it wasn't a bad feeling though. "I'll have one cup of latte please," I ordered and she smiled. I picked up my phone and dialed Emily's number to ask if she needed help going home or if she could go alone. "Hey, you found the girl you're looking for?" she asked immediately she picked up the call and I smiled. "I'm waiting for her. Where are you?" I asked and I heard her sigh from the other end of the call. "In front of my car. Staring at it. I regret bringing it out, I haven't had past my driving text yet I was just so mad when I drove here and now I'm scared to drive back home." she confessed and I sighed. "Hold on a second. I'll call Austin to come pick you up." I declared. "No, you-" I didn't hear her last statement before disconnecting our call so I called Austin who picked on the second ring. "Hey, what are you doing?" I asked immediately after he picked. "I'm at work Xavier you know that," he stated the obvious fact I missed out. "Could you please make some time to go pick Emily up, she's stranded at Disneyland- "Stranded? How did she got there?" he asked before I heard the sound of the shredding machine which got fainted all of a sudden. "It's a long story, could you please help drop her home?- "What about you Xavier? Where are you and what are you doing?" he asked and I imagined him twitching his lips sideways as he asked his question. He'd always do that when I missed out on something that was expected of me. "You know the Casey girl I told you about?" I asked. "Holy Molly, you found her?" he asked sounding very excited and I chuckled. I think so. I'm waiting for her at the Cafe I saw her enter but she still hasn't shown up, I heard she was in the restroom. "Really? That's great news men. Don't let her leave this time. I knew you were in love- "It's not love you, i***t. I just..." go ahead Xavier give the best suitable reason for you running after a woman all the way from Disneyland. "Just go pick Emily, would you? she's waiting for you." I disconnected the phone and heaved a heavy sigh. I noticed for the first time I had been served my drink. I took the plastic cup to drain down the drink. I ordered for another after 10 minutes and it was immediately served. After 30mins of waiting, I called in the waitress who had informed me she was in the bathroom to ask. "Um, I'm sorry for being a bother do you mind if you could help me check if she's in there- "Who?" the waitress asked and I sighed. "The lady who I had asked from you. You told me she was in the restroom, do you mind checking on her for me- "I'm sorry but I don't recall who you're asking for, so many ladies I've moved to the restroom since you arrived. How am I supposed to know who are looking for?" She scoffed unbelievably and I removed my wallet removing two thousand dollars from it. I took her hand and dropped the money into it. "Please help me check, she has a long nut brown hair, bright Grey eyes, and olive skin. She's slim and has an oval face. Please." I briefly described and she smiled moving towards the restroom. I had no idea how I was able to describe Casey after just an encounter but it wasn't a bad thing. I guess. The lady came out of the restroom with a sympathetic look on her face and I could guess she has no good news. "I'm sorry but no one is in the restroom at the moment. Didn't you see her leave?" she asked and I shook my head. I had no idea why it hurts in the chest. I cleared my throat and paid for my drink before moving out to my car. My phone rang and I picked it up though I would have preferred to be left alone. "Hey Xavier, it's me, Crystal. We are still going out right? Just wanted to ask if you were gonna come pick me up?" I was in no mood for this but I had to impress Crystal. It was the only way I can make her agree to Marge companies. "Yeah...yeah. I'll come to pick you." I tried to sound cheerful, trying not to act affected by Casey's sudden disappearance but I was 100% certain I saw her. It was her I saw. I was sure of it. "Xavier?" Crystal's voice threw me out of my reverie and I smiled. "Sorry, what was that?" I asked knowing I'd missed out some part of our discussions. "I was asking about your best color." she restated while I ignited my engine. "Blue." I answered sharply putting on my earphones as I started driving. "Okay." I could tell she was smiling. She should have been named Smiley. She smiles quite a lot. "Why do you ask?" I asked and she cleared her throat. "Nothing." she replied sharply and I smiled. I'll be there soon be sure to get ready." I instigated and she chuckled before the line went off. I sighed and made my way home to prepare for my meeting with Crystal. ----------------------------
