I took William to the shop we bought before. The previous owner was a nice man. He left many useful items for us before he left, so we could open the shop without any preparations.
I looked around the shop and was glad. Finally, I could find William a job after working hard so many years.
William was also cheerful. He tried to move something not so heavy.
We didn't want to spend more money hiring some movers, so we did this ourselves. This was our first shop, so we paid great attention to it.
We worked hard until the night came, and finally, we finished.
The next step was to get all kind sof certificates.
"I can't believe we now have our own flower shop," William sighed as he looked around the shop.
"Yeah," I couldn't help feeling happy. "You know what, we will live a better life sooner or later." I held his powerless hand and said, "William, I will avenge you."
"What are you talking about?" William was confused.
"I saw him," I said calmly, "I saw that bastard who had destroyed your life. Paul Brook."
William's face turned pale all of a sudden. I knew this name was a kind of taboo for him. That was why I must screw Paul Brook. We had suffered so much just because of him.
"How did you find him?" William asked me in a trembling voice.
I was stunned. I didn't know how to explain it. I couldn't tell him that I had seen that guy when I was working in the bar.
"That's not important." I changed the topic, "Anyway, I will avenge you."
"Caroline!" William yelled, "You're no match for that guy, so forget everything about the revenge. Let bygones be bygones. That's destiny. Don't get hurt because of me."
I was moved. He was always like this. He never cared about how much he had suffered, but only cared about me. His whole life was destroyed by that bastard, Leopard. So definitely, I must let him pay for this since I had known his real identity now.
"Don't worry. I have my own plan," I comforted him.
"What plan can you have? You know nothing about his cruel nature. He is a murderer. How can you fight against him?" William held my hands excitedly.
"William! Calm down!" I shrugged off his grab and said, "I'll be fine. Mr. Fox, do you remember him? He's a powerful man and agreed to help me. I won't get hurt and will take revenge on Leopard!"
William was shocked. He looked at me in a daze.
"William, trust me," I said firmly.
After a long time, he finally looked at me and said, "I have already forgotten those things, so you don't have to remember it. You may feel guilty because you think you didn't protect me well. But actually, they would have taken me away even if you were there with me. It makes no difference."
What William said was right, but I just couldn't let Leopard escape from punishment. Besides, I had also offended him. Even though I wouldn't take revenge on him, he would never let me go.
Just when we were talking about this, someone pushed open the door of the shop. We looked at the comer in surprise. Who would come here before the shop was opened?
To my surprise, it was the woman who was with Wayne. Her name should be Doris Green.
I had a bad feeling because I knew this woman must come here with a bad intention. Those powerful men and women could know everything, even including the location of my shop that hadn't been opened yet.
"Miss. Brown, right?" Doris asked me in a proud manner.
I breathed a sigh of relief. William was here, so if she had called me Jo Jo, I would have had no way to explain it to William.
"Who is she?" William could feel Doris's bad intention, so he asked me warily.
"It's none of your business. Go back home. I have to talk to this lady alone," I pushed William.
William looked vigilant, "Is it okay?"
I glanced at Doris there. She was smiling coldly, which made me nervous. I was afraid that she would say something, so I pushed William to leave, "Go back. She's just a woman."
William could feel my reluctance, so he left after hesitating for a while.
"Is that your brother?" after William left, Doris asked me.
I sneered at her in my mind. She must have known everything about me before she came here, so that question was an evidence about her hypocrisy.
I didn't want to talk more about William, so I changed the topic, "Ms. Green, what brings you here?"
Doris was a little surprised when she heard I address her, "You know who I am?"
I nodded, "We met last time. Maybe you have forgotten the meeting."
Doris snorted, "Wayne has told you everything, right? Did he tell you who I am to him?"
Wayne didn't tell me anything about Doris, but I heard him speak of Doris many times when he talked to his friends. Judging from the conversation, I could guess that Doris must be his fiancee.
I observed Doris's expression and didn't know if I should say the truth.
"Ms. Green, I'm a nobody to Mr. Wayne, so you don't have to come to me," I compromised first.
"Nobody? What a good excuse." Doris sneered, "I don't think Wayne would take a nobody to the important dancing party."
I knew the thing was being worse. Obviously, Doris had known that I was with Wayne at the dancing party. I smiled bitterly. She was like his lawful wife, and I was like his shameless mistress.
"Speak. What do you want from him?" Doris asked me coldly.
