Sunlight slid through the shades, shining right on Irene’s face. The change of temperature made her switch her position, waking her up. She opened her eyes only to be temporarily blinded by the light. She closed them again and rolled to a darker area in the room before opening her eyes again. Rubbing the blurriness away, she squinted and blinked rapidly. She stretched her arms, warming up her nonexistent muscles. How long had she slept? It appeared to be noon already.
