Elswood sat silently beside his two kids on the park bench. Neither of them spoke a word. They'd settled their suitcases on the ground beside the bench. They were meant to go home, but after such shocking news, they decided to stay a little bit to talk about Irene’s mom, who she thought she had known very well for the past sixteen years.
