Heavy tension lingered on the island for another week. The school had stopped operating for two days, claiming that the students were still in shock and they needed some rest. Some students were allowed to go home for the meantime, seeing as how Z wasn’t that impenetrable anymore. But most students chose to stay.
The ones who had just gotten to Z after their vacation exchanged stories with the ones who stayed at the school, including Irene. She heard from Diane that on the night before she arrived at Z with Elswood and Logan, a bunch of men and creatures came barging into Z. They almost ripped the school apart. And they were searching for something … or rather someone.
