The Alpha's Annoying Obsession

Some Day

William's pov

I drop into my chair sitting back, I exhale deeply then lean forward. I take the bottle of whiskey and pour a glass. I take a gulp then put my thumb and index finger on the bridge of my nose, sighing. I hear a knock on my office door then Derek, my friend and Beta comes in.

"Hey Liam, I got news." He says holding a big envelope between his elbow and torso. I sit up straight ready to hear what he has to say. "Why do you have the light dimmed, it looks like a vampires room in here!" He say turning the brightness to the light with a remote.

I squint my eyes at the sudden bright light. "Just hurry up and say whatever needs to be said." I say, agitated.

"Well," He starts, setting the envelope on my desk and opening it, "the shareholders of AI Corporation are trying to withdraw...."

My mind starts toning him out as he pulls out documents and charts. All I can think about were the events of this past day. How I woke up nauseous and a bit weak, how I went on yet another search for my mate, how I failed once again, just like the past six years.

Just thinking about it makes me feel depressed. Ever since I turned 18 and got my wolf I have been looking non-stop for my mate but never found them. It's like an itch that will never be scratched, like an addiction to something I will never get over, like a love that can never be tainted. Not to mention the stinging headache I've had for the past few years that never goes away.

I know well that most of these urges to find my mate comes from my wolf but it feel as if I need them too, that without them even if I become the strongest or richest man alive I will be nothing without my mate.

"Hey are you listening." Derek breaks me out of thought. "Hm? Oh yes yes, of course." I say, having absolutely no clue what he had been saying.

"Anyways, back to what I was saying, I think we should hold a conference with our shareholders and discuss the problem at hand." He finishes. I nod in agreement then pick up the papers. "Okay, then I will go over these tonight, thank you."

"Alright, but don't stay up too late, Alpha's need their beauty rest too!" He laughs while exiting. I chuckle then start going over the documents he's handed me.

"I know I'll find you some day..." I mumbled to myself.

Daniel pov

I sit across from my father while looking down, avoiding his eye contact. He is leaning over his desk but because I'm looking elsewhere I can't tell if he is looking over some papers or staring at me.

"Father, why did you call for me so late at night?" I finally speak. I hear him set down some papers which answered my question from earlier. I look up and meet his intense eye. I know he's angry.

After some silence he finally spoke, "I heard you caused some commotion over dinner while I was not here too attend." He says in a scornful tone. Before I can defend myself he continues.

"You again, we're arguing with your mother and brother. Haven't I told you to watch the way you speak to your Luna and Future Alpha?" He raised his voice a bit at the end. "What have you to say for yourself this time Daniel?!"

"Father it wasn't my fault-" I get cut off by Dad slamming his fist on his desk. "It's never your fault Daniel!" He says sarcastically angry. Exactly! I thought to myself. It's always their fault not mine!

"You don't think I heard how you exploded on your poor mother then attacked your brother over a simple disagreement." He says folding his arms. Simple disagreement my ass! I cursed to myself in anger

"I heard that after your mother asked something simple of you, you started arguing and when your brother stepped in you tried to start a fight, am I correct?" He asked, sounding more like a statement than a question.

"No Father, it was Mother and Anthony! They were the ones trying to gang up on me!" I say trying to defend myself.

"Damn it Daniel haven't I told you not to raise your voice at me!" He yells, not even listening to what I was trying to say. "If I have to hear about you acting out of line again your going to regret it!" He threatens me. "Yes Sir..." I say, admitting defeat.

"Leave at once, I'm too tired continue with you." He says waving his hand for me to go. I get up from the chair and walk out of his office.

I start walking to my room when someone grabs onto my shoulder and slams me against the wall. It was Anthony. He held me by the collar of my shirt up on the wall. Me had this malicious smirk on his face.

"Let go!" I growl. His smile dropped as he picked up his fist and punched the side of my face. "That's no why to talk to your Future Alpha you f*cker." He said throwing in another punch on the same cheek.

I kicked his knee and he fumbled back, releasing me from his grip. "Your never gonna be my Alpha you damn bastard!" He charges in punching me hard in the stomach which leaves me an opening to punch his face. We go on fighting for a few seconds before our sister Amy walks by.

She hurries and separates us two. "What the hell do you guys thing your doing, Dad's office is just down the hall! What do you think will happen if he sees this?" She starts scolding us.

"You can't fight someone just because your upset with them! Your going to be the Alpha of our Pack, you have to do better!" She says to Anthony. Then she turned to me.

"And didn't you just get in trouble for what happened at dinner? Next time Dad won't be so forgiving!"

"Forgiving?" I scoffed. "He doesn't know what it means to forgive, the only reason I didn't get a punishment this time was because he was tired from that trip he took."

She sighed putting one hand on her forehead and the other on her hip. "Look, all you have to do is behave yourselves, you wouldn't want Dad to go on another rampage like last year right?" She said looking up. "Right?!" She yells after we don't respond.

We both nod and then she walks off. "You need to learn your place!" He said walking off, bumping my shoulder. "If you expect for that b*tch to come to your rescue every time then your gonna have a problem when you get your wolf!"

I stuck the finger at him then started walking back to my room.

The next morning I come down stairs into the kitchen and I'm meet by My Mom. "Good morning Danny." She says while taking a sip of her coffee. "Yeah morning." I respond.

I sit down and one of our maids hands me a plate full of food. "What happened to your face, you get into another fight with Anthony?" She asks while not do secretly snickering.

"Yeah we did, and I won." Said Anthony at the entrance of the kitchen. Mom chuckled putting her hand over her chest. I glared at him then got up and started walking towards the door. "Your not even going to eat your breakfast?" My Mother scoffed.

"I'm not hungry!" I shouted while leaving. "More food for me then!" I heard my brother laugh.

I went into the living room and flipped down into the couch. All of a sudden my sister walks in.

"Why didn't you tend to your wounds?" She asks once she saw my face. "I put medicine on it, but I don't want bandages, I don't wanna look like I got out of a car accident."

She laughed at my answer. "Too late, you already do." She mocks me. I roll my eyes and curl up onto the couch feeling tired. I feel Amy sit next to me. "Well, at least when you get your wolf your wounds will heal in an instant. Speaking of that, are you excited about next week.

"Yeah, I am actually." I answer while smiling. "Once I get my wolf, I'm outta here." I say raising my head and leaning it against the sofa.

"You've been saying that for years but I feel like when it actually comes down to it, your not gonna do it"

"Yes I will, and nothing is going to stop me." I huffed.

She frowned. "Are you serious, if Dad finds out he'll get on your ass you know. He won't let you leave."

"...I know, but that's why I just have to make sure he doesn't find out." I said.

"Where will you go?" She asked. "I mean, you gotta have a plan."

"I do. A few months ago I applied for a scholarship to a University that was awarded. Once I graduate highschool, I will go to HLU which is five States away. I will live on campus until I graduate then I will move for work overseas." I said confidently.

"How will you get there?" She questioned.

"I have allowance money stashed from over the years. I have bought a phone with a different number and sss so they can't track me as well as having a passport just in case I get found." I proudly answered.

"And what Pack will you be joining?" She interrogated."You are a Wolf after all."

"I won't be joining a pack." I smiled big.

She looked surprised and shocked all at once. "Your... going... rouge?"

"Kinda, I'm just going to live the rest of my days as a human, the only time I will ever shift is during the ceremony since I don't have a choice."

She scoffed. "But your not a human, your a wolf. It won't be hard for people to tell the difference. Wolves heal fast, we eat a lot, we run fast, we have a keen sense of smell, hearing and eye sight, there is no way people won't find out and then wolves in that territory will want to hunt you down for being a rouge wolf.

Even hunters could find out, and trust me they'd want to kill you especially since you'd be alone."

Amy rambled on and on about the dangers of me leaving alone and living as human.

"Would you cut it out. I know your worried for me and all but you know how suffocating it is to live here with a bunch of blood thirsty Monsters who only care about themselves.

You see that's the thing with wolves, they're all selfish. They don't know how to love because the only thing they've loved is themselves. They all want something, whether it be to use their loved ones to get something or to use violence to get what they want. It makes me sick just to be in a room with one of them. It makes me even more sick to think that one day I will be one of them." I clench my fists.

"That's why I have to leave, I want to become as human as possible so I don't end up like mother or father or Anthony. The only person I can tolerate is you." I say getting up from the couch.

"I'm honored." She says sarcastically putting her hand on her chest. "Don't be," I say rolling my eyes. "You're not enough to make me stay, nothing is. I don't know about anything else except that I'm gonna leave this place some day..."
