Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5 I shut my human anatomy book and headed downstairs for dinner as I heard my mother and father clattering around down there. I’m going to ace my test tomorrow. I had been studying for days and I wasn’t even worried about it. I went downstairs feeling extremely confident. Head held high I took my seat at the dinner table. We ate our dinner in silence. Apparently no one had run to my mommy and daddy about my little escapade with Steele today, thank god. It seemed that nothing actually got past them. I was glad this did. We were about midway through dinner when my phone made a sound that I didn't recognize. My mouth fell completely open when I realized it was the sounds of bats screeching. I reached for my phone immediately and put it on silent. Then looked up at my parents who were both looking at me with a what the f**k look on their face. I kept my composure, as usual. “Sorry, my phone updated today and it’s been doing the strangest things. You should have heard the ringtone that played when Terrance called me. Atrocious. I will be sure to adjust my settings after dinner.” I said, without missing a beat and then continued to eat. Both of my parents must have bought it, and why wouldn’t they? I didn’t lie to them, or I guess I used to not lie to them. I knew throwing Terrance’s name in there would calm their nerves some, little did they know it wasn’t Terrance who texted me… I had a feeling I knew exactly who it was though. I wanted to steal a glance at my phone so badly, the butterflies were swarming my stomach threatening to swallow me whole. But I kept my composure, and finished my dinner normally, then excused myself to my bedroom to continue studying. The second I got into my room I yanked my phone from my pocket and opened the text. ‘Hey beautiful, why don’t you sneak out tonight and meet up with me? I’ll take you for a ride.’ Steele said, with a winky face. My face turned red immediately, what was he trying to f*****g do to me? I noted how I was instantly wet after reading his words and I cussed his ass out the whole way to the bathroom to change my underwear before I texted him back. ‘Do you want us both to end up dead? Who will Necromancy me back then?’ I huffed, although he couldn't tell my emotions through text. ‘No one. We would be dead together. And then I would take you and make you my f*****g queen, and we would rule the f*****g underworld together.’ He replied. How in the hell is he so f*****g smooth? That one was good, damn… ‘You don’t even know me. I could be terrible, in fact I am. I’m terrible.’ I said, trying to deter him. ‘Terribly tempting, my love. As you probably already know, I am very persistent. And when I want something, I get it. So if that means waiting for you, however long that may take…Even if that’s an eternity, then consider me a man of extreme patience.’ He replied. I signed out loud, and figured I wasn’t escaping him. But to be honest, I didn’t want to. I was already sneaking out tonight, what would it hurt to meet up with Steele? I mean what’s the worst thing that could happen? I was trying to talk myself into it, knowing it was a terribly tempting idea. Little Miss Ivy Ann Fontaine, and Steele Alexander… What a combination. No, Ivy Ann Fontaine was proper, and never did anything she shouldn’t. But Ivy… Now Ivy was a whole different monster. Ivy rode a hot pink bullet bike, with biker boots, leather pants, and crop tops. Ivy snuck out and practiced Witchcraft in the dark. Ivy gets f****d by complete strangers in her dreams, and Ivy wanted to come out and play. But as usual, Ivy Ann Fontaine put Ivy back in her place. I was going to sneak out tonight, but I wasn’t going to meet with Steele. I had decided on it. I was going to sneak out to the cemetery. I was going to do a small ritual to assist me in my test tomorrow, and then I was going to read my Demonology book. That is what I'm going to do as soon as my parents' lights are out. For now though, I needed to text Steele back. ‘In your dreams, lover boy. Have a good night.’ I replied, and headed to the shower. Once out I left my hair wet and put it in a double french braid one on each side. I figured it would dry, look cute tomorrow and wouldn’t be in the way of my helmet tonight. I slipped on some black leather pants, a black crop top, my riding boots, and grabbed my cloak. I grabbed a smaller bag and threw 2 candles, an incense cone, my eucalyptus oil, and some cinnamon herb for success and tossed them into the bag. I then grabbed my Demonology book and shoved it inside, throwing the bag over my shoulder and headed towards the garage. Of course my dad was already asleep, earplugs and all, and my mother was so drunk that even if she wasn’t asleep, she wouldn’t remember me leaving anyways. Once in the garage I put my helmet on and hopped on my bike. I started the engine and reveled at the pur between my legs. I clicked the garage door opener, and headed out the door. The funny thing about our gate was it was just a one way. So leaving, I didn’t have to put in a code. Only when returning. That made it a lot faster for me to get the hell out of here where I could really open my throttle up. Being out on the open road really made me feel free, made me feel like Ivy, and not Ivy Ann Fontaine. I always drove far too fast, but that was the thrill of it. There wasn’t much traffic out here at 11pm so the roads were mostly mine to abuse. There was a cemetery close to my house, but I never went there. No, the cemetery I chose was a bit further away. I always made the further journey to the Greenwood Cemetery. It was a lot smaller than the others around, but it was built in the 1800’s and there was a very clear energy surrounding the place. Something I utilized often in spellworking due to the abundance of it. I pulled in and parked my bike, removing my helmet and setting it on my bike seat. Then I headed towards my favorite set of headstones. I had performed multiple rituals here with the guidance of those buried in this place. I set my bag down, dropping to my knees to clear a space on the headstone before me for my tools. I pulled out my candles and oil, and started to anoint them. “Athena, goddess of learning and wisdom, guide me in my journey tomorrow, help me to succeed in my endeavors.” I said softly while anointing my candles. Then I sprinkled cinnamon all over between the candles and lit them both. I closed my eyes and let my intentions pour into my spellwork as the candles burned. I put myself into a light meditative state using my trigger, placing my birdy finger and thumb together on both hands before entering the astral realm and putting more of my intentions into the universe. I had completely tuned out any and all exterior noise while in my meditative state, but as I came back to reality I could hear the distinctive purr of a bullet bike… My bullet bike to be exact. I closed my eyes and sighed. Then I blew out my candles, thanked Athena, and began to put my things away. I had just stuffed the last of my ingredients into my bag when I heard footsteps behind me. I stood, slinging my small bag over my shoulder and turned around locking eyes with a familiar beautiful pair of golden orbs. “Little Miss Ivy Ann Fontaine… What a f*****g surprise.” Steele said to me once he saw my face. My cheeks instantly went red for two reasons. Firstly because he had caught me in the middle of a cemetery, wearing leather and doing Witchcraft. And secondly, because the sound of my name coming off his lips was tantalizing and instantly created a plethora of dirty thoughts in my mind. “Steele.” I said, with my usual snark. I could see that Steele was much more attracted to this Ivy, than he was to Ivy Ann Fontaine. The thought made butterflies swarm my chest. “Wait a moment, what exactly are you doing out here? And not just out here, I mean, out in this specific cemetery at 11:30pm?” He asked. I had kept this secret for months, no one knew about my Witchy ways. Not my friends, not my parents, not even a bystander. I had never been caught before and I was completely at a loss for words. “Oh you know, just praying to the deities, practicing Witchcraft, summoning the devil. The usual.” I said back, hoping to deter him with the partial truth. It didn’t work because I saw his eyes darken when I mentioned the devil. “Of course you are a closet Witch… It all makes sense now.” He said, backing me into the standing tombstone that was behind us. “The facade, the way you are picture perfect on the outside, but deep down lurks something wild and trapped, longing to be set free. The Ivy in there knows she is destined for more, doesn’t she?” Steele purred. Thank you so much for reading! Please visit my website for more info on where to read! Www.SeshaSteele.Com
