After breakfast, I thought of what to do to ease myself of much thinking, not to have reflection on what had been my past. Scrolling down my phone was the only means to get engaged that very hour. It was the weekend; I had watched so many photos from the billionaire as well. Meanwhile, my eye got pinned on Mr. Williams pictures. A tall, charming young billionaire at age 22, looking from the screen, one could tell that he is the dream of every woman. The circumstances around his previous relationships with Norah. She had broken up with him for a growing million, Norah, during the interview complaining about Williams inability to satisfy her desires even when he was doing his best. She wanted to flex around with another. However, this made me Williams has seen every other lady to be like Norah, his ex-fiancée. This made him almost mad at whoever had discussed love with him. In fact, he gave all for his work at the office. But the good side of him was that he is a good listener whenever it comes to the development of his company. Mr. Williams needed to inherit his father's multibillion-dollar company. While he works as the acting C.E.O., he has to marry as a condition attached to his birthright.Mr. Williams saw that as a big task since he has given up on love. How would he do this, knowing fully that everyone wanted him for his money? He is not just a young C.E.O. but one of the youngest billionaires on earth. And a man from a well-known family.I, on the other hand, decided to apply for the position of a secretary in his new development tech company, where he would be having his personal activities. What he needed was just a personal secretary. The vacancy was announced via media. I didn't put much hope on it, seeing that I was from a lower class; working with Mr. Williams would be the least I have ever thought in life.Luckily for me, I was shortlisted among those who would be interviewed by the company general manager, Mr. Harrison.First, I didn't believe it, not until the media read it out and had posted it on social media. Working as a hotel receptionist after my graduation, through the help of a stranger, Mrs. Annabel who picked me up at age 10 from the orphanage home. She saw me through in the university, but Dad had to snatch her on my graduation day while she was on her way driving to the event hall. She had an accident and died at a spot. The memory kept ringing in my heart each day I had a reflection of her dead body. However, she died unmarried; not even a child was said to be hers. Mrs. Annabel dead, called for her siblings, claiming all she had left behind, and had left me with nothing, including the house. I had to seek help from a friend who accommodated me.Now, the news that I was to be interviewed by Mr. Williams company shocked me. "What will I do? Where will I get the best cloth to attend this interview? I have heard that he is a tough man, one who would embarrass me if care is not taken. I need to think of what to do. Maybe I spend all my money on an expensive cloth." I said to myself. Then I walked to my piggy box where I had been saving. "What if I failed? What if I didn't make it? What will be my fate? That means I have lost my full year's savings for a position I'm not sure of." That kept ringing within me."No, I have to take the risk." I concluded within myself. While breaking the box, I had a second thought. "Sophia, my friend, should be in the best position to help me with this. Besides what her friends are for. I will plead with her to take the clothes on credit while I pay installments. I nodded my head and placed the box back in its position. The interview was set to hold in the next 20 hours. It was already dark, and I know Sophia must have been fast asleep."What about the shoes and jewelry?" These are the thoughts that come to my mind. Nothing was left no more hope, the cloth mighty be available, what Happened to the ornaments. I needed to smell nice. Scrolling through social media, I was the last listed in the list. Among beautiful young and sexy ladies, whose shoes I can't afford.I felt intimidated and couldn't sleep that night. The next morning I hurried to Sophia's shop; Sophia, seeing me, was so happy she congratulated me on the opportunity and wished me well. Meanwhile, she broke my heart the moment she told me that she couldn't offer me any item on credit."Please, Sophia, I swear I will pay you. I will pay; just believe me. Remember you are my friend; you have always wanted me to grab such an opportunity; now I have seen it. I needed your help. Please do not do this to me." I almost cried to her as the clock kept ticking faster.Sophia was still not ready to assist at this point. "You have to pay half of what it's worth," she said to me, of which I did immediately, and got the dress. I planned on asking her for a shoe that would fit the dress. Sophia refuses to assist with such. I had nothing with me, rather than the saves I have paid for the dress.I have to put on the old shoe that almost matched the new dress.Wasting a single moment there at Sophia Boutique was the least I could do, as the hour kept approaching. I took my shower and quickly applied cream on my body. Which was done within some minutes, then after, head to the venue. Unfortunately, I was three minutes late; the first Mr. Harrison had recorded a red flag on me."Young lady, are you sure you want this job.?" Mr. Harrison asked me."Yes, sir," I answered him confidently."I'm sorry you are not qualified for the job; you have shown us how badly and unsatisfied your service would be in the future. We can't take people like you. " Mr. Harrison said. I felt so disappointed; I felt like being swallowed beneath the Earth or fighting Mr. Harrison with my hands if possible. He threw my documents right before me. After I have pleaded for forgiveness. What happened to the dressing? I am yet to complete the payment. What happened to my life in return? My life savings are all gone like that.I could hold tears while bending and picking up my papers. Walking out of Mr. Harrison's office, as I watched the next applicant walk in.While on my way leaving, Mr. Williams drove in on Entourage; I couldn't believe my eyes seeing how handsome he was. He was really the dream of every lady."You must be one of the applicants; where are you going?" He asked me kindly. I find it difficult to believe that it was Mr. Williams who had asked such a question.I almost stammer while answering him."Sir, sir...." I said to him."What are you doing here? You must be Renee Kelvin. You are meant to be with the applicant at the receptionist. The interview shouldn't have started without my presence. Didn't the manager read the memo sent via his mail.?" Mr. Williams asked, as he stormed into the secretary's office, I felt so scared with his harsh moment; he was a no-nonsense man."When do you turn into an incompetent manager? Can't you check your mail?" He asked me, Harrison."I am sorry, sir; I have been busy all through." Mr. Harrison answered. "You must be stupid." Mr. Williams said as he slapped Mr. Harrison and threatened to fire him immediately."Listen, I do not take bullshit; you should have known me by now." We all felt scared as his tone got higher; the whole staff had to return to the post, frightened, aside from the position of the secretary that was left vacant. We learned that the secretary was fired two days ago for being reluctant with a few jobs and not being smart enough to satisfy Mr. Williams terms and conditions of service.
