Waking up to Chloe’s call on a Saturday morning was the perfect way to start the weekend, and I didn't waste a second clicking the answer button.
“Good morning beautiful,” I said in a raspy morning voice.
I heard her chuckle lightly and it warmed my heart. She’d struggled through the last couple of days and it felt amazing to watch her be herself again.
“Good morning my Knight in shining armor,” I could hear her smile through the phone and it made me do the same.
“To what do I owe the pleasure of your lovely voice this morning?” I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom.
