The last time Skylar woke up next to Kai, he got abducted by Eros, jumped off a treehouse, got shot by an arrow and ended up having his memories manipulated. Now upon waking up on Kai’s bed in the son of Ares’ cabin, he hopes things won’t be too eventful for once.
Kai stirs and opens his eyes. The son of Ares gives him a smile upon seeing Skylar in bed with him. “Morning,” he drawls.
“This doesn’t happen often, does it?” Skylar asks.
“Well this is only the second time, the first time was on the night I had to send you off to the Underworld.” Kai replies. “The time in the cabin doesn’t count.”
