Eve’s POV
“That was my best friend Jonathan.” Logan said, his eyes softened. He immediately let go of me.
I was shocked but I was relieved instantly. My tears went dry immediately.
He doesn’t have any reason to lie to me, at least I know he is a man of integrity. Does that mean I misunderstood and I’ve been living in my head.
When we were still on talking stage, I remember he mentioned his best friend Jonathan. Jonathan Williams I am sure that is the name. And that was when I also told him about Stacy.
How could I have made such a mistake? I felt ashamed immediately.
But Logan wasn’t mad; he just let go of me and walked away. He didn’t react the way I thought he would. I still stood there. My legs weren’t moving.
He came back immediately with the box of first aid in his hand.
