The sound of the alarm went off, causing me to groan in frustration, getting out of bed for another long day of torture and pain. I headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a quick shower.
I skipped through different clothes in my closet trying to find something casual, something that didn't draw much attention to me... Because I'm not an attention seeker like my sisters. My eyes scanned my body with a feeling of disgust — I was more on the thick side than skinny and most girls at school had the body of models.
Guilt.
I wonder if I was an abomination to my parents that they left me in an orphanage at eight to be adopted by a not-so-loving family at twelve? My adoptive parents had two beautiful daughters, twin to be exact, Summer and Winter. They were everything I could've only dreamt for, well, except for their awful behavior and shitty personalities.
They were popular at Boston High School and no one knows that we even live together or else they'll freak out... I grabbed my oversized sweater and dragged on my white converse shoes before going downstairs for breakfast. In the mornings I was the first one to be awake and getting ready for school so I could catch the public school bus figuring my sisters won't let me drive with them.
Opening the half empty cupboards, I took out a box of cereal and the milk from the fridge, grabbing a large bowl— I had the appetite of a whale. In a few seconds, the entire bowl of cereal was finish, quickly washing up the bowl I head on out to wait for the school bus to pass by. After a few minutes the school bus had reached my destination but, instead of slowing down, it sped up quickly, causing me to run after it.
I could see the kids on the bus laughing at my misfortune, pointing fingers and leaving nasty comments.
"Even my grandmother runs faster than you."
"Does she even know where the gym is at?"
"No wonder no one loves her."
"If I had a child who is like her, she would be in an adoption center by now."
Tears threatened to leak from my eyes as I forced myself to keep up, my legs getting tired. Finally, the bus has stopped I climbed up the stairs tugging the sweater around my body protectively, shielding me from the horrors of this world.
Making my way to the back to sit when suddenly the driver sped up, causing me to trip over someone's foot and fell hitting my elbow on the iron seat.
"Ouch, that f*****g hurts dickhead," I muttered. Of course I couldn't say it out loud because of my social anxiety.
"Watch where you are going, fat pig."
Everyone started to laugh as I quickly got up before finding an empty seat to sit staring through the window listening to music.

The bus had finally arrived at school everyone else was quite excited to meet up with their friends but for me, it was a terrible nightmare that I couldn't escape. I quickly made my way to my locker to grab my books and the necessary pieces of equipment needed for Mathematics class.
This was my last year, meaning just a few months left to graduate and move out of the states far away from this place to start a new life or something.
"Where's my assignment Avery," Aaron asked.
Right, have I forget to mentioned I hate Mondays? Mondays were the absolute worst as I had to do one of the most popular guys Maths assignments for him.
I turned around and handed him the Maths assignment, which he threatened me to do over the weekend.
"Where's my money?" I questioned.
"Jeez can't you wait fatty, here you go," he handed me ten dollars.
"Thank you for the generous tip I hope you have a nice day," I fake smiled.
"Hey baby, I missed you," Summer voice echoed throughout the school, she was oblivious to the fact she was on the school compound. Not wanting to see the Aaron and Summer exchanging saliva, I quickly scurried off to Maths class.

The door bust open as the lecture had already begun, all eyes turned to the door to see the notorious bad boy, Desmond.
My heart stopped for a quick second as his eyes averted in my direction, ignoring the rest of students... And the teacher. He walked in my direction before dropping in the seat next to me.
"Hi, I'm Desmond are you new here?"
