“Mr. White, she’s stable now but…” he stopped before looking at my contorted face before putting a hand on my shoulders to calm me down. “The injury was deep and it damaged her uterus in the process. We tried our best but Ms. Johnson may have a hard time in the future keeping her pregnancy.” I didn’t know how to react, was I supposed to be happy that Ellie is okay or upset that we may never have kids?
“We’ll transfer her now to the ICU and when her condition stabilizes more, we’ll move into a private room.” the doctor said before walking away.
“Hey, Theo, she’s okay now...relax a little” mom said as she pulled me into a hug. I didn’t know how to react, we were just so happy a few days ago thinking about our future and planning for kids buying a new villa for our big family
