Riley’s POV
I walk up to the door. I knock, and a minute later the door opens, and a woman is standing in front of me. She gaspes, then whispers “Riley?” I nod, then I look behind her and see Ryan looking over at us.
“Hi,” I say. He stands up and walks over to us.
“Riley?”
“Yes. that’s me.`` I said with a smile, “You have no idea how long I have wanted to meet you guys.” They look at me like I have to.
“What do you mean? And where’s Ellie?”
“We should sit, and I can explain.” We go in, I put my bags by the stairs, then walk around.
“Do you by any chance have something to eat? I've only had fried granola for the last 24 hours.”
“Ya. go through there, to the kitchen.” Aunt Lizzy says pointing to a door frame. I go through and I want an apple and a banana. I get an apple out of the fridge and grab a banana off the counter. I head to the living room, sit on the couch and start eating the apple.
“so , where is Ellie?” Aut Lizzy asks agen.
“You don’t know do you?”
“Know what?” she asks
“Aunt Lizzy, I'm sorry. As far as i know Aunt Ellie died when i was 7” i say. Her face looks like it's a drained color, she has tears in her eyes, and one fell. She looks down and cries. I don’t know what to do, but Ryan sits beside her and gives her a hug.
“How?” she asks “how did she die?”
“I don’t know, we were attacked one day. She gave me a bag and an envelope. The bag had survival stuff in it that she had taught me how to use over the years, along with hunting, hanging their pelts, cooking with what I could find and other stuff. The envelope told me about mum and dad. You and Ryan. There was also my necklace. But as I was running I heard fighting, then screams, I could tell they were hers, then they stopped mid scream.`` I say while reliving the memorie. I see Ryan coming to sit beside me, to comfort me. I move back and say “don’t”
“Don’t what” he says
“Don't sit beside me, unless you want to be hurt, have your ear drums blasted off, or have the chance of having me faint.” I say, and he backs off.
“Why could that happen?” aunt L asks.
“Well I have a condition called Haphephobia, it’s where I can't have someone touch me unless I want them to. I can faint, scream, or almost kill you ``I say.
“Well then we won’t touch you without asking first.” Ryan says
“Thanks. And I guess I should tell you what happened after Ellie died.”
“Yes, if you want to.” lizzy says
“I would rather not, but I think you should know.” They nod ready for me to continue.
“Well the day Ellie died I got my necklace, and got my spirits, I haven't shifted, cause you don’t shift until you're 16. I lived in the woods for 2 years on my own. In the 2 years I hunted for my food, I made weapons, I turned pelts to clothes, and something to sleep on. In the 2 years I also killed what are apparently called rogues. Crazy werewolves, vampires, elfs, mages, but mostly werewolves. The sane ones I would make a meal for and in return would weather tech me a new fighting technique, give me money, clothes, or weapons.'' I pause taking a breath. Their faces have looks of sadness, pidy, and there’s pride in Ryans. I will continue.
“I kept traveling west. I eventually found a town. I met this human named Rosie, she bought me a ticket at the train station, she was very kind and also bought me clothes and food. After I got to Massachusetts I went to dinner to eat some more food. A couple asked me some questions like ‘where are my parents’, ‘what happened’, and other stuff. They offered me a place to live. Izzy and Adam gave me a roof over my head, a bed, food, they had a gym/dojo and taught me how to properly fight. We worked out a schedule for school because I asked if I could be homeschooled. I wanted to do school, spend as much time as I colored at the gym, and still continue to learn about pants and stuff about nature like I did with elie. I mastered everything they taught me, and learned how to use every weapon I touched. I finished high school last year and started college classes for business. I learned lots of different languages. I know english, french, Spanish, german, Italien, Russien, Japanese, chinese, portigues, and latien. I have also learned the language of the gods. When I was nine I could sumen my speirits weapons. When I was 12 I was able to go to the dream space. I met mum and dad, cause Uncle Morph let me go to their dream space. Then about 4 days ago I had a little tiny melt down, cause we’ve been so close to each other for about 7 years.”
“Where were you?” Ryan asks.
“Massachusetts, only nine hours away.”
“I feel like that was a summary of what you went through, and in those two years something big happened, that wasn’t pretty, and that you're not going to tell us about.” Lizzy says
“You're right, and I will not tell you. Not under any circumstance, I don't want you to have the thoughts that will come with it, and then you will look at me differently. You say that it won't matter, but every time you see me after it will be at the back of your mind. I can't have you look at me like that.” i say
“Well, I think we need some family time. Something fun.” Aunt Lizzy says
“I think you're right. What do you do in your free time Riley?” Ryan asks
“I bake, draw, read, and cook. I also love to try out new weapons and board games.”
“Well, how about we go to the arcade in town, then we can make dinner when we come back.” lizzy says
“Sounds fun. But i have no idea what an arcade is.” I say. They look at me like they have 2 heads. We spend the day as a family would. We went to the arcade, witch is a place full of old school video games, then when we can balck we made pizza, and i baked a cake for desert. Then around 10:38 Ryan and I got fevers and Lizzy ran us outside saying it's going to happen. I'm guessing our shift. After 10 minutes of wanting to scratch off my skin because it feels like it's on fire, I feel and hear the sound of a bone breaking. i don’t scream cause i’ve been in worse pain, but i hear Ryan scream and it hurts me to hear him scream. Lots of bone cracking later, and screams from Ryan, it stops. I look down and see paws. I turned in to Killen. I look over at Ryan and he is a 6ft wolf, with midnight blue fur with silver strikes in it. After a minute the fire is back, but doesnt last as long befor the bone breaking. After I'm in human form again. Who am I? I don’t know. The fire starts again, with the bone cracking, but it’s not lasting as long. We go through the fire and bone cracking 2 more times before we turn back to ourselves. I look at Ryan but he has black hair, one blue and one green eye. He looks at me and gasps, I guess I changed two. We sit up and we are in the same clothes as before. I stand in them to help Ryan up.
“Let's get to bed. Ryan I will see you in our dreams, just listen to your spirits ok.” i say,
“Well I will show you your room. Night Aunt L ``Ryan says.
“Night Aunt Lizzy. Oh!!”
“What?” lizzy says
“I almost forgot. In the letter Aunt Ellie gave me before she died. She told me to tell you that she loves you, always and forever.”
“Thanks Riley. Night boys.``Ryan and I walk up in the house to the stairs. I pick up my bags, and we walk up the stairs
“The first one on the left is mine and the one on the right is yours. The last one at the end of the hall is Lizzy’s room.” ryan says
'What time do you people get up at?’ isac
“Well tomorrow is Tuesday and school starts at 9 and ends at 2:30 for me. So I will be up around 7:30 and Lizzy will be up around 7.”
“Ok. Well I get up at 5:30. And a wolf named Cole is coming over around 6:25 to take me to their pack training growns, so I can workout.” i say
“How do you get up so early?”
“Well I'm not a morning person let me tell you that. I just have a lot of stuff to do. night brother”
“Night.” he says and I walk into my room. The walls are grey, there’s a king size bed, a desk, walkin closet, and an ensuite bathroom. I put my bags down, take my clothes off, grab my pj pants, and head to the bathroom. I look at the mirror and see that I have the same black hair Ryan now has. That's the same as dad. Also now one of my eyes is blue and the other is green. I take a shower, put my pants on and climb into bed. I go to the dream space.
Ryan’s POV
As Riley was telling us about what he went through, all I wanted was to hug him. It looked like he was relieving it when Aunt Lizzy asked how Aunt Ellie died. When I went over and he said ‘don’t’ I stopped. He explained this ‘Haphephobia’ thing to us. I still wanted to comfort him but stayed back but instead suggested we do something fun. We went to the arcade, ordered a pizza for dinner, and Riley made this amazing Chocolate cake for dessert. After dinner we played some boring games, then we got fevers around 10:40. Lizzy ran us outside saying it's going to happen. After 10 minutes of wanting to scratch off my skin because it feels like it's on fire, I feel and hear the sound of a bone breaking. I scream, and I scream until the breaking of my bones stop. I look down and see paws. Something weird just happened, but I'm going with it. I look over at Riley and see a 6ft fox in his place. The fox is black, with an orange color on the ears, traveling down the back, and these golden specks in the fur. After a minute the fire is back, but doesnt last as long befor the bone breaks. After I'm in a human form again. The fire starts again, within the bone cracking, but it’s not lasting as long. We go through the fire and bone cracking 2 more times before we turn back to ourselves. I look at Riley but he has black hair, one blue and one green eye. He looks at me shocked, I guess I changed two. We sit up and we are in the same clothes as before. He helps me up then says, “Let's get to bed. Ryan I will see you in our dreams, just listen to your spirits ok.”
“Well I will show you your room. Night Aunt L” i say
“Night Aunt Lizzy. Oh!!” riley yells
“What?” lizzy says
“I almost forgot. In the letter Aunt Ellie gave me before she died. She told me to tell you that she loves you, always and forever.”
“Thanks Riley. Night boys.``riley and I walk in the house to the stairs. riley picks up his bags, and we walk up the stairs
“The first one on the left is mine and the one on the right is yours. The last one at the end of the hall is Lizzy’s room.” i says
“What time do you people get up at?’ he asks

“Ok. Well I get up at 5:30. And a wolf named Cole is coming over around 6:35 to take me to their pack training growns, so i can workout.” he says
“How do you get up so early?”
“Well I'm not a morning person let me tell you that. I just have a lot of stuff to do. night brother”
“Night.” I say, and walk into my room. I grab my pj pants, and head to my bathroom, i have my shower then put the pants on and do my night routine. I head back to my bed and a voice in my head says ‘Hi ryan, I’m Wade, you wolf’
‘What?’ i ask
Remember what Riley said, to listen to your spirits, and we are your spirits. And I'm Flinn, you fairy.’
‘So are you all going to introduce yourselves now?’ i ask
‘ Yes we are. I’m Domonic, your demon.’
‘Vinsent, your vampire’
‘And I'm Marcus, your mage.’
‘Nice to meet you’ i say
‘I know it is’ Dominic says
‘Now lay down, close your eyes.’ Marcus says. I do as I'm told. I lay down in my bed and close my eyes. A minute later, I feel grass under my feet, and a breeze against my face. I open my eyes, and there are 4 people and one extremely large wolf.
“Hello?”
“I see you did as told” i hear Riley say from behind me
“Where am I, and who are those people?” i ask
“We are in the dream space, Ryan. here we can teach you how to fight, different languages, about our family, and so much more. Those ‘people’ are your spirits, and from the looks of it you have a wolf and fairy at least.”
“The voices I heard in my head belong to them?”
“Yes, Ryan. Now, introduce me to them. I will introduce you to mine, then I have a surprise for you. Ok?”
“Ok.” Riley and I walked over to them and when we were in front of them I asked “ ok so who is who?”
‘Well im Wade.’ a voice in my head said
“You're my wolf right?”
“Yes he’s the wolf. Im Vinsent” the man with Red eyes, midnight black hair, and dressed in Black dress pants, fitted red dress shirt, black dress shoes said.
“Im Marcus” is a person with Dirty Blond hair, Electric blue eyes dressed in Blue cloc, black wrap shirt, blue pants, says.
“Dominic” the one with blak wings, Black dress pants and dress shirt, black dress shoes, black hair, and black eyes said.
“Last but not least, I'm Flinn,” the man with green and blue fairy wings, in moss green cargo pants, who had Light brown eyes, dark brown hair, said.
“Well im Riley, the brother.”Riley says, “now would you like to meet my guys?” he asks
“Sure” we then walked over to 4 more people and a fox. He introduces the fox and killen and he is a kitsune, not a fox. Then Eli the Elf, Mason the mage, Aaron the Angle, and Greyson the god. Then he says “now follow me” we walk through the woods until we come across a house. We go up to the door and knock. I hear a woman say “Riley, how many times have I told you to just come in?”
“Well, I will never just come in, and you know that. Plue, I have a guess.” Riley says while opening the door. Inside there was a woman and a man looking at us like we’re from outer space.
“Umm, Hi?” I say, and the woman bursts into tears. They come over to me.
“Their our mum and dad.”riley says
“Realy, our mum and dad?” i ask
“Yes, now give them a hug, cause I can't.” he says. I walk over to them, and they walk to me. We have a big family hug. After a minute or 2 we break it off. Then to Riley I say “the only thing that could have made the hug better, would be if you were in it.”
“I wish i could to sometimes, but i can't, so hug them for me.” he says
“My two boys are together at last. Well we should probably tell you what we told you brother the first time we saw him” mum says and we move to the cough. Mum and dad then tell me about the witch, the proficie, the attack and how the only way to keep us safe was to have Lizzy and Ellie raize us. Then, Riley says “I'm sorry fam but I got to go. It's almost 5:30 a.m.”
“Right, you said you workout in the mornings. Have fun.” i say
“Well I don't work out right away. I go for a run at 5:30, have breakfast at 6:00, and then work out around 6:30. Mum, dad, make sure he gets up for 7:30, he has school in the morning.” he tells them
“No problem” dad says
“Well I need to go. Bye” he says and starts walking out the door
“Bye” we say. The rest of the night we talk about getting to know each other, then telling me some stories from when Riley was learning some of the fighting techniques and so on, but all fun comes to an end. I had to go. We said our goodbyes, and I left, feeling happy.
