Chapter 6

Tarius

Athena took my hand and immediately it felt like a relief to hold her again. I was so pissed at Kamil for slipping in front of her and that j had to tell her the complete truth so soon. I mean what high class of an i***t it takes to slip up when you know you need to be extra mindful and careful of your actions.

With her hand in mine I led Athena into Kamil's far backyard. When we reached the spot I was aiming toward I reluctantly let go of her hand and looked over at Kamil who had diligently followed us out here. I folded my hands together, looked deeply into her eyes and said

"What you are about to witness may be very disturbing and you are probably going to freak out, but I need to try not to since I am going to explain everything, okay?"

She nodded in response and I knew it was time to shift. I stepped back, took my shirt off, not breaking eye contact with her and I could see a light pink color across over her face before she averted her eyes, and being a Reelora, I could feel how anxious and angry Kamil was, anxious because he was nervous about how she would react, and angry because I just took my shirt off in front of her, needless to say being a Reelora also comes with the gift of being able to feel all of the peoples emotions around me. Like an empath, but better. Continuing my process I took off my pants and I could see Athena become more uncomfortable, and slightly, aroused? She cleared her throat and croaked

"Um, you guys aren't going to r**e me right? This is just a bit odd."

I chuckled in response and said

"No Athena, we're not going to r**e you, we aren't those guys. Well, at least I'm not what about you?" While saying the last part I looked over at Kamil who presently looked like he wanted to rip my head off

"I would never r**e anyone, good grief." He said

I finally faced the other direction since I didn't want her to be completely freaked out, and took my boxers off. I really felt Athenas emotions mix intensely now that I was completely naked, and to be fully honest, I couldn't be more prideful than in this moment even though that sounds a bit self absorbed. I took my shirt that I had been holding and held in in front of myself to cover up and faced her again only to see she was looking right at me already. That I guess explains why Kamil is in such an angry state.

"Athena, i am going to need to to look at me and not break eye contact now okay?" I said cautiously

"Okay."

She said in a very calm voice, but I could feel that she was actually fully of anxiety.

I closed my eyes and when I knew I finally shifted i opened them again.

I did exactly what Tarius had asked and I never took my eyes off of him, but now, I think I have completely lost my mind. Except I know that I haven't because even though it was such a fictional event, I knew and felt that it was reality. Before me where Tarius had stood, a large and muscular buck deer had stood. I completely fell to my knees and covered my mouth with my hand in awe, not fear, but amazement. Tarius, or the deer Tarius had come closer and sat down in front of me. To be honest, even though I knew Kamil was standing next to me, it felt like it was only Tarius and I in the room. I gently lifted my hand up and moved it near the deer, or Tarius's face only going half the distance before he had moved his head and placed my hand on his face himself and closing his eyes. Kamil seemed to take this as some sort of cue, because he walked over to where Tarius had left clothing and placed it next to him. Sure enough, within moment Tarius was back to being human and had already covered up before I even pulled myself out of the trance I had been in, though he remained seated in front of me.

"I know this is a lot to take in but,"

he said before I cut him off by pulling him into a hug and whispering in his ear

"You're amazing."

The tenseness that was in his body had released when I said that small sentence, and that made my heart grow even more for him. I was in such shock over what I had just witnessed, but I know that I will be okay and that everything would work out, I just know that it will.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't green with envy and angry of the fact that he had been the one to reveal to her about our world, but I had to accept it, after all I was the one who had let it slip and broke our deal.

I cleared my throat just to drop the hint that I was still there even though they seemed to be in their own world. Athena looked up at me with a flash of realization that crossed over her face before both her and Tarius stood up. Tarius put his shirt back on and while he did that Athena said

"So, you are both able to turn into deer?"

At this statement both Tarius and I laughed before I responded saying

"I am actually a werewolf, not a Reelora"

"Wait, so a human who can turn into a deer is called a Reelora?"

She said trying to make sure her facts are straight

Tarius chuckled and responded saying

"Yup, a human deer hybrid is a Reelora, but my family is a special type. Normally Reelore shift and they almost look like a centaur, but my family, we are one of only two known families that shift into full deer form."

"Wow! That's really cool!"

Athena said

"And did you say you are a werewolf? Like Jacob from Twilight!"

She continued while looking at me so excitedly

Tarius and I both died laughing at this comment and Tarius mumbled

"He's far from being Jacob."

Causing Athena to giggle and punch him in the shoulder responding

"Really though, like that? What is like harmful to you? Is it silver?"

I chuckled at her common response and said

"Nope silver is not problematic for me, that's a common misconception. There's and herb called wolfsbane that if I come in contact with it, it is searing to my skin, if I have enough of it it could kill me too."

Her mouth was slightly ajar with a small O shape as she listened to me thoroughly. I walked up closer to her now that Tarius had backed off and was leaning against one of the many trees in my backyard.

"Would you like to go back to my place and we can explain this better to you?"

I said and she shook her head

"I have learned enough and seen enough for one day, I need some time to think. This is all just a bit much, even though I am accepting."

She added,Tarius both nodded our heads in agreement and allowed her to walk back home as she needed and wanted to.
