The next few days had passed without any hitches. The 45 crop fields had been properly harvested and the stalks had been removed to be turned into hay once the drying of wheat and corn had been completed in the drying kiln.
The remaining ends of the wheat and corn stalks were pulled out by hand manually so that the Sprinkler pipes would not be damaged in the process if they were to use farm animals to do it.
Even though its pretty hard work, the whole process to remove the roots out from the 45 crop fields were completed within a day. The next would be the flooding and then the sowing of the winter wheat seeds for the whole 45 crop fields for the next coming spring.
After all, these had been achieved it was time to break some grog for the completion of such tedious work. A Job that would require at least a month to be completed was achieved within less than a week.
During the night conference, ale was being paid to Strongbow by us and it was free flow for everyone. Ben and Frank took out their musical instruments from the sawmill and soon merriment started to flow as soft music from the lutes, flutes, as well as the drums, floated in the air.
Everyone played their part, no matter how big or small as a little contribution would soon turn into a mountain load by their accumulative efforts. Sales from the Gracehaven's Greasy Spoon soon picked up after the citizens' orders piles of Crispy flatbread from plain ones right to the fish or meat fillings.
Price was not the main factor as everyone would be taking a break for a few days before they embark on any new projects they would be scheduled by Ben or Frank.

Penelope sauntered over with Isabela in tow and announced that the latter would be executing her special abilities on the Red jungle fowl that they had experimented a few evenings ago.
I nodded at the duo and with Crystal's assistance, they went in search for the same red jungle fowl they had mutilated the other night.
Poor chicken, it was easily spotted by Crystal as it was perched on top of the barn houses as it looked on mournfully and accepted its fate to be yet another cruel lab test subject for the evening.
The red jungle fowl was quickly brought under the arms of Isabela as she brought it back to the Guild amidst the merrymaking of the citizens within the courtyard.
I was curious about the experiments as it's much more different from the other night. It was not merely attaching broken or mutilated limbs but this time was to rebuild a lost lum from scratch.
ISABELA IS PLAYING GOD TONIGHT...!!!
"Is it necessary to cut the same wing or you are going to chop off its claw or something?"
I asked since I was feeling a bit pitiful for the poor chicken. If this experiment fails, the red jungle fowl would be on a crutch for the rest of its life and be another recipient of Gracehaven's Community Chest... HAH...!
If this experiment is a success, the first person to go under would be Firestone and he would be a long term patient if its successful.
"Let's get it done with, Isabela..." Imelda was smirking with an evil grin on her face as she held a cleaver high above her head. Farah held her hand over the head of the chicken while Isabela held into the claw and directed Imelda where to chop the limb off.
A set of bandages was set aside by Old Kayla as she stood by just like a paramedic would do.
*THWUNK...
A clear chopping sound could be heard as the cleaver was brought down and cleanly chopped the claw off the chicken.
*Aooooooooo*
That's what a wild beast would howl when it's leg got mercilessly chopped off but as for a chicken, it simply glared around frantically, wide-eyed before it looked down to see that one of its legs had been decapitated before it swooned and fainted from the effect.
Isabela immediately wrapped a bandage over its decapitated leg and threw the choked part away to the feline as they scrambled and fought over it.
"For a small body part, it may take between a day to three days before it would be able to grow back, just like a lizard when it loses its tail. All I need to do is to tend to it and imbue my special abilities as I would be able to 'see' the developments of the reconstruction of the new limb at the back of my head."
"Once the process had been completed, it would be safe to remove the bandage off the chicken. As for the case of Farah's father, since it was amputated below the knee, I would say the process would be from one to three months. At the meantime, I am sure Farah would be able to tend to her father, don't you think so?"
Pitting empty promises ahead would prove to be fruitless and empty hopes. So in the case of Farah's father, we decided to keep it under wraps at the moment. We would not know how a human leg would be able to grow back but for a small part like a chicken, it shouldn't be a problem at all.
That's in the case of Isabela the Healer.
The poor chicken was laid to rest a small basket and covered with a warm cloth to make it as comfortable as possible. A small bowl was filled with water while another was filled with bread crumbs and grains.
We all hoped that this small comforts would be able to satiate the hunger and thirst for the next few days as well as to appease the Chicken God to not release its wrath on us for experimenting on its own kind...!
Hahaha...
Isabela held the amputated claw part into her hands and began to pour out her healing capabilities into the bandaged area. After a short few minutes, Isabela released her hands and saw that the chicken had lain on its side, eyes rightly closed with the tip of the tongue slightly sticking out from the side of its beak.
Isabela patted its head and we all flowed out from the Guild after the small experiment. We all were crossing our fingers and prayed that the experiment would be a success.
"Don't worry everyone. I would update you whenever I visit the chicken to pass some healing powers to it. Besides, all I need is to have a good rest if I happen to deplete my strength."
Isabela explained and Imelda wrapped her arm around the former's shoulder and remarked, "Guess we all are alike, eh Sisters?" while swinging her cleaver about recklessly.
Looking at Imelda who was no longer the youngest within the Guild, everyone laughed at her antics as they went about to the Gracehaven's General Store to pick a tin of biscuits that they would munch about at home and chat the night away.
Imelda picked a tin of OTAP— one town all product biscuits that was thin and flaky and coated with plenty of cane sugar. It's crumbly and it would never bore anyone while Farah picked a tin of Nutty and Fruity log cake as they hauled back their wares towards their home.
I saw Samuel tending to his donkey as he fed it hay from the stalks of corn that had been dried through the night. "So laddie, how do you find the town so far?" I asked as I patted on the rump of the donkey and expecting it to give a back kick to any stranger that tries to get near it.
Instead, it brayed softly as Samuel looked up at me and replied, "Things have been great Your Majesty. I'm learning how to make arrow shafts from Andy. He told me I would be a good fletcher."
"That's good to hear that, Samuel. Alright, be off to bed once your animal had been fed. Its another day again tomorrow as usual. Work at the fields had stopped and tomorrow would be a new deployment. Besides, there would be a lot of helpers to do fletching as we would need to have a lot of arrows being made ready soon."
I patted Samuel's shoulders and then heads back to the domain. In a day or two, Marcel would be busy handling the distribution of the Standing ice boxes to all 15 towns via the travelling merchants. I guess there would be a lot of matters to be tied up accordingly.
The night was still young and according to the clock, the partying would definitely end by 1 or 2 in the morning. At least half of the community would be having a huge hangover after tonight.
