The Unexpected

Chapter 4

"Hey, wake up."

Damn, people let me sleep in peace.

"Lilia. Lilia." Someone keep shaking my shoulder and I didn't like it one bit. I mean come on let a girl sleep.

"Damnit, Lilia I know you're awake." That sounds like Maison. Why is he tryna wake me up?

Rubbing my eyes, I opened them and all I see is Maison and Josh's faces.

"WHAT. Do you guys want?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Okay, good. You're awake," said Josh, turning to look at Maison.

"Why did you wake me?"

"The nurse said to us to make sure you don't fall asleep." Maison grinned, trying not to laugh at me.

"But I've been sleeping peacefully, before you goons." rolling my eyes.

"Ye, but they just injected s**t into, so you can't fall asleep just yet."

Wait, WHAT?

"No, they didn't."

"Yes, they did."

"No, they didn't"

"Yes, they did." 

WTF. How come I don't know? What is wrong with me.

"Nothing is wrong with you. Yet." Josh trying but failing to reassure me.

"Wait, I said that out loud. But I was just with the doctor and you were just peacefully sleeping. Then, I went to sleep cause I didn't want to wake you goons." I said, starting to panic.

"Hey, hey don't worry. You did sleep, but when you were sleeping they injected something into your blood thing and woke you up and told us to keep you awake. But that was a few hours ago."

"A few hours ago. What no? I just went to sleep. "

The door opened, and the doctor came in. The same one I saw before I fell asleep?

Man, I'm so confused. What is happening to me.

Like did I drift into a coma? Did I die and I'm now a ghost.

"Hey, are you okay?"

"Huh? Yes, I guess. I dunno," damn, I wish I knew what was wrong with me? Why is no one telling me what happened?

"Okay, so you look shaken. Don't worry, everything is fine. Do you remember what happened?" the doctor asked me, holding a clipboard in his hand.

"Um, well I remember being at my house with my friends and we were about to play a game. Then, everything went black. The last thing I remember was when I woke up here and you came in and said that I was to get a test run on me."

"Okay, good. So, do you remember anything else?"

"No, I don't," I think I'm officially dead.

"Okay, don't wor-"

"Baby, how are you?" My mum rushed into the room, looking all concerned. "How is she?" She said turning to the doctor.

"She's all good. We were just recapping on what has happened."

"Okay, so what is wrong and what happened to me?" I asked. Confused more than ever.

"It seems that you fainted due to lack of sleep and food. Have you been getting any headaches of any sort, lately?" He asked me.

"Um, yeah. Before school and during the first day of school."

"Okay, not to worry. So, we have injected you with some meds that will have to regain some nutritions. It'll make you sleepy, but we'll need to keep you awake for the next hour or so."

"So, I just need to get some rest and more food into my system," I questioned him.

"Yes, and try to not exhaust yourself too much at school. Skip all physical activity and drink lots of water for the next few weeks." He said handing over some papers to my mother.

"Okay, now that you understand, I'm going to talk to your mother outside to go over a few more things."

Both my mum and the doctor left the room, leaving just my brothers and me left.

"Here, drink some water," Maison said handing me a cup of water.

"So, how long have I been out for?" I asked, drinking the water.

"You have been here since yesterday night," Josh replied.

"Oh, wow. Why so long?"

"You keep blacking in and out all of last night. They said you were just really tired so, they said they will let you sleep it off, then run some test."

"So, I'm guessing I woke up this morning when the doctor came in and then fell asleep again."

"Ye, and then they did the test, like an hour ago," Maison said.

"So, what time is it now?"

"It's just after 3 pm," Josh said.

"OMG, you guys missed school for me. AWWW."

"ahaha, yes we would miss anything for you sissy." laughed Josh.

The door opened revealing my dad, my mum and the doctor. I'm guessing my dad just finished work and came straight here. Same with my mum.

"Okay, so you can leave here and go back home. We just need to keep you awake for another hour. You can also go back to school tomorrow. Just take it easy and remember to stop yourself from exhausting yourself." the doctor instructed me.

We finally arrived back home and the doggies came to greet me. I love my dogs. Their the best thing, well one of the best things in my life. One is my family, two is my dogs, three is my friends. I have 3 dogs. 

 There's Fluffell. He's now 2 years old. (It's a German Shepard)

 There's LouBear, he's a 2-year-old border collie.

And that's Coco. She's only 8 months old. I got her last year on my birthday. 

These dogs are everything to me. But they are full of energy like 24/7. Especially, Coco, she's super crazy. 

Anyway, I went to our games room and collapsed onto the couch. Fluffells jumped up and laid on my lap. I throw my legs up onto the couch. Both Coco and  LouBear jumped up and sat next to me. I turned the tv on and started to watch TVD. I am loving this show right now.
