    Later that night, we walked back to my parents’ house. My mom was cooking dinner and had insisted that I bring Jacob. I wondered what he had said to them the day before. They had been upset with the whole situation when I came back, though not necessarily with him. Now, it seemed like they were back to wanted him as their son-in-law. Not that I was complaining.     “So, you’ll be going back to Arvendon on Monday.” Mom said as she was cooking.     I nodded. “That’s right. It’s our home. It’s where we’ll be raising our kids.
