23. Green Grass

    Jacob’s “etiquette training” consisted of us rolling around in his bed until we absolutely had to get ready for the movie premiere. I chose to wear the dress he had picked out for me earlier that day for the event. Jacob chose a black suit and a bright red tie to match my outfit. We rode into town in a black limousine. Outside the venue, I found a large crowd gathered. Cameras were flickering as the paparazzi caught pictures of celebrities showing up to the premiere.     “Are you ready?” Jacob asked me.     I nodded. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”     The limo stopped, and someone came to do the door to open it.
