Chapter 1: When Curiosity Calls
It all began on that eerie morning. Daisy stood by the window, the gentle breeze playing with the strands of her hair amidst the soft melody of chirping birds and the rich aroma of coffee filling the room. But behind this tranquil facade, a storm was raging in her mind.
She was drowned in her thoughts, curiosity gnawing at her soul like fire. She kept whispering a relentless chain of questions to herself:
"Why? Why do they forbid anyone from approaching that place? What are they hiding there? And how can they warn me about a spot where no one has ever dared to set foot?"
She was on the verge of losing her mind from overthinking.
"Daisy! Hurry up, or you'll be late for school!"
Her mother’s voice shattered her train of thought. She threw on her clothes in a rush and left, but only her body went to school. Her mind remained elsewhere—trapped in that mysterious place.
"Daisy... Daisy... Daisy!"
She could hear nothing but the echo of her own name ringing in her ears. She didn't even realize the teacher was calling her until her friend gave her shoulder a hard shake. She looked around to find expressions of utter astonishment on everyone's faces; Daisy was known as the star student who never lost focus.
Her friend whispered anxiously, "Are you okay?"
Daisy nodded recalculatingly, muttering incomprehensible words, leaving her friend staring back with suspicion and disbelief.
Nightfall finally arrived, and with it, the real adventure began.
Doors were locked, lights were extinguished, and the house sank into a deep slumber—everyone except Daisy. The moment had come.
She sneaked toward the window, opening it with breathless caution, and slipped outside. Her heart was hammering violently, its frantic beats almost audible in the dead silence. Yet, the sheer power of curiosity was too strong to resist; her footsteps guided her straight toward that abandoned mansion.
With every step she took, the echo reverberated through the haunting darkness, mingling with the rustling sounds of bats stirred by a shadowy movement. The further she advanced, the more the light receded, and the darkness expanded, transforming the space around her into an endless, pitch-black labyrinth.
Suddenly, a cold shiver ran down her spine. Someone was here. Two eyes were watching her in this suffocating gloom.
She froze right where she stood, her limbs completely paralyzed, as a freezing breath brushed against the back of her neck. A sharp, blade-like voice whispered directly into her ear:
"Who are you... and what secrets are you searching for in the dark?"
The blood froze in her veins. Her eyes widened in sheer terror as she gasped for air, desperately searching for any way out of the darkness that was beginning to swallow her alive.
