Chapter 1 Return.
In an archipelago in the Little Dragon Girl's Sea, a magnificent palace stands tall.
The island has been almost completely leveled. Outside the palace gates, 100,000 warriors in black military uniforms stand in a square formation, motionless, yet their killing intent is overwhelming.
100,000 pairs of eyes are fixed on the bronze gate ahead, tears welling in their eyes.
Creak…
The massive bronze gate slowly opens, and a tall, well-proportioned young man in a black trench coat walks out.
His face is cold and stern, his eyes filled with boundless majesty. Behind him is a two-meter-tall, obese man, and seven men and women in black military uniforms with solemn expressions.
Clang! 100,000 warriors simultaneously raise their hands in salute, a single movement that shakes the heavens!
Long Hao raises his head, his right hand slightly raised, clang again, and 100,000 warriors before him salute!
"Seven years ago, when I came here, I was a death row inmate. Now, the great enemy has retreated, the world is at peace, and I am going home to see my wife and children!" His words, like muffled thunder, resound throughout the surrounding area, representing Long Hao's determination and his declaration!
Long Hao turned back, and the seven commanders behind him instantly straightened up, knelt on one knee, and shouted in unison, "Send Tianlong away!"
Ten minutes later, a helicopter on the right roared and quickly took off, heading east towards the rising sun. As
the sun set, at Yuncheng Airport in Southern Province, Long Hao and a burly fat man with a lollipop in his mouth walked out.
The fat man took a file folder from his pocket and handed it to him, saying in a low voice, "Brother, this is your sister-in-law's and your child's information."
"Seventh Fatty, a few sheets of paper can't represent their experiences over the years. Give me their address, go have some fun yourself." Long Hao glanced at him sideways but didn't reach out.
Seventh Fatty chuckled, turned, and left without lingering for a second.
Long Hao looked up at the familiar yet unfamiliar place before him, muttering to himself, "Seven years ago, when I was arrested, you were pregnant. Qing'er, are you alright?"
Half an hour later, Long Hao got out of a taxi, looked up at the noisy Xicheng Farmers Market, and frowned in confusion. Why was Qing'er's address here?
Long Hao walked into the market according to the address. It was chaotic and noisy, filled with the stench of fish and other foul odors.
Reaching a seafood stall, Long Hao looked up and saw a little girl, about six or seven years old, sitting on a low stool.
The girl wore a faded blue t-shirt, had a bob haircut, but was thin and malnourished.
She was hunched over, holding a knife, cleaning fish on a blood-soaked cutting board.
Her movements were labored, splattering dirt onto her clothes. She seemed to sense someone watching her, looked up, and their eyes met.
Boom!
Long Hao's mind went completely blank. That face was almost identical to Qing'er's.
Long Hao's body trembled uncontrollably. He held his breath and pulled a photograph from his pocket. One glance was enough for him to know that the little girl before him was his daughter, whom he hadn't seen for seven years.
"Daughter…" Long Hao opened his mouth, feeling a lump in his throat, his nose stinging with tears.
Did she recognize him? Would calling her "daughter" suddenly frighten her?
Just then, a fat woman with a cigarette dangling from her lips walked into the shop. She glanced at the girl on the low stool and waved her hand impatiently, saying, "Finished cleaning the fish? If you're done, get out of here. What bad luck today, you've lost five hundred in just one hour."
The little girl looked up at the fat woman, wiped the sweat from her brow, and smiled sweetly, revealing a mouthful of white teeth, "Auntie Fatty, you said you'd give me ten yuan and a loaf of bread if I cleaned the fish."
The little girl's eyes were full of expectation, and she swallowed hard; she was very hungry, but she was trying her best to control herself.
"You little bastard, you want money after just a few fish? Just like your mother, you're obsessed with money." The fat woman exhaled a smoke ring and started cursing loudly.
After cursing, she reached for a cheap loaf of bread on the counter, stared at the little girl, and grinned maliciously, "Want some?"
The little girl saw the bread, nodded fiercely, swallowed hard, and reached out to grab the bread.
The obese woman suddenly let go, the bread falling to the dirty ground. She stomped on it again, spat, and cursed, "Eat, eat, eat! You little bastard, all you know is to eat! Go ahead and eat!"
The bread on the ground was deformed and stained with grime, but the little girl's eyes suddenly lit up. She pounced on the ground like a hungry tiger, picked up the bread, and began to wolf it down.
The little girl looked up, chewing and swallowing, and said to the obese woman indistinctly, "I'm not called a little bastard. I have two names. I'm called Zhao Beibei, and I'm also called Little Dragon Girl."
Upon hearing the words "Little Dragon Girl," Long Hao swayed and almost collapsed.
Seven years ago, Qing'er was pregnant, and they had made a promise that if she gave birth to a girl, her nickname would be Little Dragon Girl.
He could no longer hold back; his eyes welled up with tears, and he rushed towards Zhao Beibei.
Long Hao grabbed her small hand, which was reaching for the bread on the ground again. It was thin and trembling.
"This is dirty, you can't eat it." Long Hao forced back his tears and snatched the bread from his daughter's hand, throwing it away.
He looked up at the obese woman with a sneer, his voice icy cold: "She's just a little girl. How can you treat her like this? Are you an animal?"
"Whoa, where did you come from? I've run this shop for ten years. How I treat her is none of your business!" The obese woman was taken aback, then laughed loudly, extremely arrogant.
Long Hao took a step forward and slapped the obese woman across the face.
*Whoosh!
Smack!*
Before the obese woman could react, her 150-pound body was sent flying into the shop, crashing into the glass display case with a loud thud.
A heart-wrenching scream came from inside…
The little girl was terrified, but she knew Long Hao was helping her, so she didn't run away.
Long Hao turned around, squatted down in front of his daughter, his eyes softening, and asked with a smile, "Little Dragon Girl, will you take me to find your mother?"
"Uncle, what do you want with my mother?" Zhao Beibei was frightened and shrank back.
Seeing his daughter's wary expression, Long Hao felt a sharp pain in his heart.
He forced a smile and said, "Uncle will go protect your mother and Little Dragon Girl."
Before nightfall, Long Hao took his daughter to KFC and ordered a family bucket.
Watching his daughter wolf down her food, Long Hao felt a mix of emotions. What had happened in the past seven years?
Halfway through the meal, Zhao Beibei suddenly stopped. Sucking on her greasy fingers, she looked up at Long Hao and asked, "Uncle, can I save the rest for Mom?"
Clearly, she wasn't full, but she was still thinking about her mother.
Long Hao tenderly stroked his daughter's head and smiled, "You eat as much as you want. Later, Dad... Uncle will bring your mother to eat."
Perhaps because she was full, or perhaps because of the bond of blood, Zhao Beibei lowered her guard against Long Hao.
She told him that she used to live in a big house, but her uncle kicked her out, saying he wanted to use it as his wedding home.
Hearing this, a cold glint flashed in Long Hao's eyes. Zhao An had actually kicked Qing'er and his daughter out? And seized his house?
If it weren't for Zhao An, how could he be a death row inmate!
He suppressed his anger and took his daughter to a building in the city center.
After getting out of the car, Zhao Beibei pointed to the building and said, "My mom works here, on the fifteenth floor, but she won't let me go to her."
"It's okay, Uncle will take you to find your mom, it's alright." Long Hao led his daughter inside.
The elevator went up to the fifteenth floor, the empty office building was lit and quiet.
As Long Hao led his daughter inside, he suddenly heard a man's mocking laugh: "Zhao Qing, how was it cleaning toilets all day?"
"If you don't want to clean toilets every day, then take off your clothes and lie down properly. Hehe, you're all sweaty..."
Then a woman's panicked voice came: "Manager Liu, what are you doing? Let go, or I'll, I'll call for help."
Long Hao frowned, turned to his daughter and said, "Beibei, wait here for Uncle."
Then he quickly walked towards the restroom.
Bang! The bathroom door was pushed open, and a fat man in a shirt was seen groping a woman in a cleaning lady's uniform.
"Stop!" Long Hao roared, rushing inside.
Manager Liu was startled and turned around to see a large hand aimed at his face.
*Slap!*
Manager Liu stumbled from the slap and fell flat on his back.
Zhao Qing, in the cleaning lady's uniform, looked up in alarm, and when she saw the man in front of her, she froze...
