*Third POV*
Chaos and mayhem took over the elegant hall. The pack warriors ushered the women and children to safety while they returned to stand beside their leaders. Daniyal could feel the fear and hatred emanating from a certain corner in the hall. Zara had already shifted and took down three wolves at one time who attempted to hurt a group of her pack members. The hall began to shake as if there was an earthquake. The chandelier in the center began to fall. “ZAARA!” Daniyal shouted, as he shifted and quickly pushed his mate out of the way. His silver-haired wolf and her white and grey wolf rolled safely out of the way. Just as he stood up and cuddled his mate, Daniyal’s sharp senses picked up on the enemy. “It can’t be!” he growled as he ran towards the feeling of where his enemy was hiding. “COME OUT YOU COWARD AND FIGHT!!!” Daniyal growled angrily as he took out two men who were at the door shooting outside towards the Tahoe. Just then a grey/black wolf with electric-blue eyes appeared and tackled the Alpha. They fought ferociously, just when Daniyal had him pinned down, a sharp pain erupted in his side. A brown wolf had attacked him from the side. Just as Daniyal ripped the brown wolf’s throat out. The grey/black wolf growled, “ENOUGH! If you want to save your pack members then surrender!” “NEVER!!!!” Daniyal growled. Just then, a dark mist surrounded the entire hall. “Jinns!?” Daniyal growled as he watched a man from his enemy’s pack holding an open black box. The magic was so strong it overpowered the room. Darkness began to envelop the Alpha, and before he knew it, everything went dark.
The Alpha awoke to find himself, the Luna, Mikail, and Junaid fully clothed sitting at the table they were sitting at before the chaos started. In front of them, were three men. “Armaan?” Zara asked the man in the middle. He was tall and handsome. He had fair skin, electric blue eyes, and a well-groomed black long stubble beard. His hair was short and he was wearing a black suit, black shirt, a satin black tie, and black shoes. His eyes narrowed into a menacing look. “ALPHA Armaan,” he growled at Zara. Daniyal growled angrily at Armaan. “Calm down, Alpha Daniyal,” the man on the right of Armaan said. He was a little shorter and he had an almond skin tone, with green eyes and dark brown hair and a full beard. He was Armaan’s Beta, Zafar. The man on the left of Armaan had a scowl placed on his face. He was the one who opened the box that released the dark magic. His eyes were full of darkness though. He was clean-shaven, and his dirty blond hair was longer in the front and swept to one side. As everyone took each other in, Armaan began to speak.
“It’s been a long time hasn’t it Alpha Daniyal?” Armaan said as he pulled a chair out and sat directly in front of the Alpha, challenging him with his eyes. “What do you want?” Daniyal growled. “Now, is that the way to treat a fellow Alpha, an equal?” Armaan said with an arrogant smirk on his face. “Get to the point, why are you here? And, how did you get into dark magic?” Zara asked as she looked at Armaan intently. He had changed so much. The last time she had seen Armaan, he was 16 years old. For a young wolf, he was powerful, it's not surprising that he became an Alpha. The ten years that he had disappeared for had seemed to harden him. “I am here to take what’s rightfully mine,” Armaan said. He wasn’t being totally clear but he secretly knew that his statement held more truth than he was willing to reveal. “Didn’t you hear the Luna, get to the point!” Junaid growled. “Silence Gamma!” Zafar growled. Armaan put his hand up to silence everyone.
The enmity between Armaan and Daniyal didn’t always exist. Daniyal looked at Armaan as a little brother. Armaan’s brother, Hamed, was the heir and future Alpha of the Dark Moon pack. The Dark Moon pack was also an ancient pack that dated back to ancient Babylon, just like the Gold Crescent pack. The Dark Moon pack was also just as strong, but they maintained a deep respect and friendship for one another, and this led to them having a strong alliance. However, on the evening of Hamed’s second wedding anniversary party, when Hamed which was also the night of his Alpha Ceremony, this relationship turned into the worst enmity in the history of pack wars.
“Didn’t think that your husband would be the only one who could master and unleash demons to destroy a celebration, did you, Luna Zara?” Armaan said, shaking Zara out of her thoughts of the past. “I didn’t unleash those spirits that night Armaan!” Daniyal screamed, “you are delusional in your grief over your brother’s and sister-in-law’s death.” “SILENCE!” Armaan growled. “You have no right to speak about my family,” he continued. “My parents and the pack leaders also perished in that cowardly attack!” “Other than you, who from the Gold Crescent pack knew about the dark arts?” Armaan questioned him. “Well it seems like even you know quite enough now,” Daniyal said, “who knows if you assassinated everyone in order to become Alpha? We all knew why you were being close to me. According to the rule, two brothers cannot serve together as Alpha and Beta. You only wanted me to give you a position. You never truly respected me.” Daniyal growled as he pounded his fist to the table.
That couldn’t have been further from the truth. Armaan truly looked up to Daniyal and considered him to be more of his brother than Hamed. He did hope to make himself worthy of becoming Daniyal’s Beta or even Gamma, but that wasn’t his motivation for being close to Daniyal. He truly loved and respected him. That’s why he was the most hurt when the initiation ceremony was destroyed by an attack of evil demons who wiped out his whole family. He didn’t know anyone who could unleash such an attack but Daniyal. It had to be him. “Whatever helps you sleep at night Alpha Daniyal,” Armaan said, as he leaned back in the chair. “I have come to notify you that in exactly 48 hours from now, I will unleash an army of demons to annihilate your entire pack.”
“You can’t do this Armaan!” Zara yelled as her eyes glowed bright green with anger. “Again, it’s Alpha Armaan,” Armaan said as he looked Zara directly in the eyes, “but, I can call off the attack under one condition.” “What’s your condition?” Mikail questioned. “I want Alina Akkad as my bride,” Armaan said calmly. “HOW DARE YOU?!” Daniyal growled and his teeth and claws started to protrude as he stood up from his chair causing it to fall back. “Never!” Zara shouted as she and Mikail and Junaid rose from their seats as well. “Suit yourself,” Jeffrey said while running his hand through his blond hair, “I’ve been dying to use the full force of my power for a long time anyway,” he continued a smirk replacing the scowl that adorned his face. “SILENCE BOY!” Daniyal roared at Jeffrey. “I will not bow to your stupid demand!” Daniyal shouted as he glared at Armaan. Armaan was getting angry now. “I will send a town car to pick her up from your packhouse tomorrow at noon,” Armaan said. “If she is not there, I will not stop the attack.” Before Daniyal or the others could answer, Jeffrey, snapped his fingers and Daniyal, Zara, Mikail, and Junaid were transported in front of the packhouse. “That bloody sorcerer!” Zara yelled. As Daniyal let out a powerful and angry howl.
