*THIRD POV*
Armaan completed his meeting quickly, and almost flew out of the room after he closed the negotiation with a neighboring Alpha. He just couldn’t wait to get home to his Luna and pup. “You are thinking like a hen-pecked husband,” Nox teased Armaan. “Don’t act like you don’t feel the same way,” Armaan replied. He rolled his eyes as he blocked Nox again, for what seemed like the hundredth time of the day. Nox was impatient to get home as well. Zafar noticed this, and shook his head quietly to himself. “Zafar, quit shaking your head at me!” Armaan yelled as he playfully punched his cousin. “Ouch!! Jeez, man. I just feel sorry for you wolves who have found their mate. Y'all are always bothered by their thoughts and presence. I just hope I keep living the free single life.” Armaan rolled his eyes at his stupid cousin. “Trust me, you will be so attached to your mate that you may never leave your room for at least a month. Then I’ll see who is smitten!” “That’ll never happen!” The cousins jabbed each other throughout the car-ride back to the castle. After they arrived, Zafar dropped off Armaan and headed out to town to collect a few documents from Armaan’s new clients. Other than maintaining the pack, Armaan also ran a legitimate business in the human world as well.
As Armaan walked up to the castle, he heard the sounds of giggles, and footsteps from the garden. He smelled a strong scent of honey and roses, and knew that Alina had to be back there. He walked to the garden and the sight he saw mesmerized him more than anything else. Alina was spraying water from a hose at Irsa and Amir. She was also drenched, but the laughter and joy on her face was what Armaan noticed the most. She dropped the hose and ran after Amir, catching him, and throwing him up in the air. Amir’s laughter was so loud that Armaan was sure that the neighboring houses that belonged to pack members could hear him. Irsa took that moment to spray water on Alina, and Alina playfully glared at her. After she placed Amir on a bench nearby, she ran towards Irsa. Irsa dropped the hose and ran away, and Alina picked up the hose, but as she turned, the water sprayed Armaan instead. Alina was stunned for a moment. Sensing that her Alpha and Luna may need a moment to themselves, Irsa picked up Amir and took him inside.
Alina didn’t move the hose, but Armaan didn’t seem to mind. He ran his hand, threw his wet hair and took his suit jacket off, while walking towards Alina. Alina dropped the hose, but Armaan grabbed her hand. He playfully twisted her hand behind her back, but Alina surprised him by using a self-defense move and freeing her hand. She pushed him lightly and ran away giggling and looking back at him. Armaan wasted no time following her. They ran until they reached the end of the pool, where Armaan grabbed Alina. They both lost their balance and fell in. They quickly stood up and found themselves in each other’s arms. This time Alina didn’t fight the attraction she felt for Armaan. She moved closer to him until their lips touched, slightly. She was nervous because she never kissed anyone before. Even when Armaan kissed her last night, she was not sure how to respond. But, she let go of all of her self-doubt and hesitation, and kissed Armaan ever so gently.
Armaan was patient, as he let Alina take initiative this time. After the soft kiss she gave him, he pulled her close and kissed her back, softly and passionately. When they pulled apart he kissed her forehead, and lifted her out of the pool. Two Omegas were waiting for them with towels when they got to the castle. After drying off a bit, they both went into the castle. They were both silent on the elevator up to their floor. Alina’s cheeks were painted crimson, and she kept playing with the ends of her hair, as she still felt awkward. Armaan sensed this, and wrapped an arm around her waist. She looked up at him, and she saw they were so close, she could see her reflection in his bright teal eyes. “You don’t have to be shy with me Lena,” Armaan began. “You are so beautiful and perfect, I know that we started off on the wrong foot. But, we are meant to be.” After they left the elevator, he turned her around to face him. She looked at him and when she saw the adoration and soft smile he bared, she couldn’t help but mirror it. “I love you Lena, and I want you to be comfortable. If you want, we can postpone the Luna Ceremony until you feel more at ease.” “Actually,” Alina began, “I would like to move the Luna Ceremony up to this coming Saturday. I just want something simple. I want to be more connected to you and this pack, so I can assume my duties.” She placed a hand on his cheek, and gazed deeply into his eyes. “You have treated me with love, respect, and kindness. I didn’t think it was possible, but I am falling in love with you with every second that passes.” Armaan smiled widely in response to what Alina was saying. “I want to get married, and start a new life together, as your Luna and your mate. Let’s put everything behind us, and move forward with our life.” Armaan bent down and kissed Alina, this time more passionately. To his surprise, Alina returned the kiss with the same fervor.
Just as Luna and Alpha shared this private moment a pair of jealous eyes were watching them from afar. “NO!!!” he shouted as he knocked the selenite globe down from its stand. “My plan is failing! They are not supposed to fall in love. If they mate and mark each other they will become the most powerful wolves in the world!” “Armaan - that traitor!” “Calm down,” another man said. He bent down and picked up the globe. “You could have broken my globe!” “I don’t care about your stupid globe!” “Your magic and your powers can’t help me if the two of them mate!” “Silence!” the woman in the corner roared. “You imbeciles need to trust the plan! You met Sahil in the forest. He fell for our story. Now, we will stir some trouble up for the smitten wolves before the Luna Ceremony. Just keep your head down and follow the plan.” Both men begrudgingly nodded and then left the room. “Armaan and Alina, soulmates that are destined to rule the werewolf species and become even more powerful than the mythical lycan breed. NOT ON MY WATCH!” The woman cackled loudly as she contemplated her plan.
