Eric P.O.V
We ran as quick as we could. Jumping onto the balcony and crashing into Elizabeth’s room, but she wasn’t there, and it looks like she never was. Her bed was neatly made and everything was in its place. There was definitely no struggle.
“What the hell, Phantom?” Jarred asked as he came up behind us. “Phantom, give me the rains.” He ignored me as he kept on sniffing the room and the living room. It was an endless battle in my head to get Phantom to shift back. “Phantom, we need to change.” “Eric, change so that I can speak to you.” “Phantom, change now!" I screamed at him, but he just kept on walking around, trying to get a scent. “Phantom change!” We heard a powerful inner voice scream and Phantom had no choice but to obey and gave me the rains as we changed back.
“What the hell was that Jarred?” “Well, I wasn’t sure it would work, but I used my Beta voice.” “Never do that again.” I said as I put on some pants. When Jarred forced us to change back, we felt hopeless. No matter how hard Phantom fought against it, he couldn’t win and we dislike it. “Eric, what is going on? Phantom has trashed the place. Look...” I looked around and we threw everything around the room. I didn’t even notice he was doing it. I was too busy trying to get him to change back.
“Elizabeth is gone...” “What do you mean she is gone?” Jarred asked as he peaked into her room and saw she wasn’t there. “I’m sorry, Eric, but I swear no one came through that door.” “Then how did she disappear?” “What the hell is going on in here? It sounds like you guys are trying to break the place down?” Prue asked as she entered. “Elizabeth is gone...” “Where did she go?”
“Seriously Prue, do you think the place would look like this if I knew!” I screamed at her as Phantom is creating havoc in my head. “Don’t...” is all she said as she looked around the place. “You guys certain that no one came in here?” “Prue, I promise you no one came through that door.” Jarred answered as I was pacing up and down.
“There is only one person who could have done this.” “You mean only one Warlock that could have done this? I’m going to rip his head off!” “Eric, you need to calm down. This ain’t helping.” “What are we still doing in here? We need to find her.” “Eric, he will be here now. Just stay calm.” Before I could say anything, Saruman appeared in front of us.
“I’m going to kill you! Where is she?” I screamed as Jarred fought against me to keep me back. Saruman looked over at Prue, ignoring me and that just flamed my anger more. As I broke through Jarred’s attempts to stop me and charge towards Saruman. All the sudden my bones felt hot, and it felt like I was burning for the inside out as I crashed to the floor in pain. My vision went dark and all I could concentrate on was this burning inside me.
“Saruman stop it.” I heard Prue say. “As long as he would behave.” “He will. Now stop it.” The pain started slowly disappearing and Phantom was panting hard in my head. The pain I felt wasn’t nearly as much as the pain he went through. Our counterparts take most of the pain onto them so that we would not die. “You okay, buddy?” “I’m fine, just get Elizabeth.” I got up when Prue looked back at Saruman. “Where is she? I know you took her.” “I’m sorry Prue, I didn’t have a choice.”
“What did you do?” I asked, still trying to regain my strength. “The council had another meeting, and they decided she has to start the trails now.” “But she had a week to train. Why would they do that?” I asked. “Robin said something to Nicolas, and he changed his mind. He gave me the order, and I had no choice.”
“Saruman, you are the oldest and strongest. Why would you do that? You could have said no!” Prue said as she was getting irritated. “Prue, that was the last time you spoke to me like that and you very well know why... If it wasn’t for me being here, so many more of our kind would have died.” “I know, I’m sorry.” Prue said, looking down at the ground. “And for you, Eric, she is stronger than you know she will make it out alive. If I wasn’t sure about that, I would have never taken her.”
“Is there a way that we can see or hear what is going on in the trails?” I asked, as Saruman was looking around at us all. With one sweep of his hand over the room, the room was back to perfection. Then a light form in his palm that he trough against the wall and it was as if we were watching a movie. She was walking in what looked like a cage and was pulling on the bars.
“Eric, we need to go help her!” “Phantom, calm down, please... We can not intervene. Not if it is her trials, she will never forgive us...” Then it went all silent in my head. “Phantom. Phantom!! Seriously, now is not the time to be childish.” I just left him when I was still met with silence.
Jarred started growling as Jax came forward. I looked at the screen and saw Elizabeth with a small girl in her arms. “What’s happening now? Why is there a child?” “That is the Gamma’s daughter. They reported her missing when the Hunters attached our pack.” “Why is she down there Saruman.” Prue asked. “One of the council members, Peter, he told the rest that she was a child of a dangerous man-eating wolf pack and that she will grow up to be the same, as it is in her blood.” “What...? That is lies!!!” “I know, but I wasn’t frighten to put her down there because I knew Elizabeth would never...”
“What about the others down there? We trusted you!” I said and my blood was boiling again and Jarred also went to his knees. “You two need to watch who you are speaking to. I maid sure she was far away from everyone giving Elizabeth enough time to get to her.” As he finished, I could feel Phantom getting weaker and weaker in my head. I needed to stay calm for his sake.
We watch further as Elizabeth struggled to get a door open and as soon as it opened we backed away as only a picture of the silver in that room was affecting us. “How is she supposed to get Amy through that Saruman?” Jarred asked as his temper is rising again and I put a hand on his shoulder. “Look Jarred, she is using her light.” “Hmm, now that is interesting.” Saruman said. “Why...?” I asked. “I have never seen a Hunter being able to use the light to protect anyone besides themselves.” “So this is a first? I’m sure it is the ghost of the past that is helping her.” Prue said as she watched on.
It was very difficult to watch Elizabeth fighting off a dragon and vampire without us being able to help her, but she did good. My heart clinched at the sight of her scares, but the bigger problem was that the little wolf was shifting for the first time. “Just stay calm Amy and let it happen don’t fight it.” Jarred whispered. We could only see what was happening, we couldn’t hear.
Elizabeth was bending down in front of her and holding her, and before we knew it, she sifted. Jarred blew out a sigh of relief as I patted him on the back. “She will be okay, Jarred.” “And so would Elizabeth.” We nodded an agreement to one another. Then we saw a greyish light came from Elizabeth and it was wrapping around them. Literally making a cocoon around them. “What the hell is that?” I asked, and looked at Prue.
“It is her light it has change, and it is protecting them as they rest.” “Defiantly a first. I have been on this planet a long time, didn’t think I can be surprised anymore, but this is... amazing.” Saruman said as he walks closer to the wall, trying to get a better view. Prue, Jarred and I just exchange looks, not really knowing what to say.
As time passed and Elizabeth working her way through the maze, Phantom relaxed a little more, as he can see she had everything under control. Then all the sudden she went out a door and was in the forest. “Does this mean she is...” “Yes.” Suddenly, it felt like my stomach was coming up and my head spinning. Once I open my eyes, I saw we were in the forest. Dam Wiches... never walking.
Then I saw her. My heart felt like someone was pounding it as I looked at her. She was beaten all over with cuts and some fresh some dried blood on her. Her face was white and sweaty. I went to her and hold her tight as it looked like she was about to faint and she will not look weak before these people. Phantom was clawing at my head trying to come out, but I knew what he wanted to do and that would have been a whole new battle. I gave one look to Jax, Jared’s wolf, and we had an understanding. I will protect Elizabeth and he will protect the little wolf.
After we got back, the queen took her bath and ate. “Something is wrong.” “What do you mean? She’s back and safe, yes there is some tension, but that is to be expected.” “No, you i***t, don’t you feel that? The atmosphere has changed and look at Prue, she is also on the edge.” “Phantom, you are looking for something that isn’t there.” “You know what, if something happens, it will be on you. You don’t listen and you are being a prick.” After that Phantom went quiet and I was the one on the edge now.
Elizabeth went to sleep, but Prue did not leave as per usual. “Guys, be ready. Something is coming and we need to be ready.” Prue said as she looked at Amy. “Prue, we can’t let anything happen to her.” Jarred said. “Isn’t there a way we can get her out and safe? Prue, you can disappear with her and leave her at the pack.” “Eric, I can’t use my power here. I need to get out of the barrier.” “Then we will get you out.” Jarred said and turned into Jax.
“Phantom, I’m sorry you were right.” But there was no answer and I can’t even see him in my mind’s eye. “Okay, you ready Prue?” I asked. “Ready as I can be.” Jax looked at me, confused as to why I’m not shifting, and I just shook my head as we moved out and went through the mansion. We fought we were undetected, but the next minute a bubble like barrier came over us. “Prue, tell me it’s you.” “Eric, I wish I could. Brace yourself, it is going to be one hell of a ride.”
Next we were in a dungeon like place and my head was spinning and I felt like vomiting. As my eyes focused once more, I felt this burning on my arms, ankles, and around my neck. We all were in chains and I did not know what the hell was happening. “Prue... Prue, are you awake?” Prue shook her head a bit and opened her eyes as she took in a sharp breath from the burning sensation on her arms. Jarred was no longer in his wolf form as he also woke up, but Amy was still out.
“Prue, what the hell is going on?” “I’m not sure. Saruman!!!” We all looked around, as he usually just appear in front of us, but there was nobody. “Amy... Amy wake up, baby.” Amy opened her eyes and when she saw everything, she panicked and trash around in the chains around her little neck and arms. Crying all the way. “Amy! You need to calm down or you will get burned even more.” Jarred said. Amy looked at us, all scared of what was happening. “Where... where is Elizabeth.” “We are not sure Darling, but I’m sure we will be out soon.” Prue said, but I could hear it in her voice, she was scared.
“Phantom, please buddy. I know I should have listened to you, I’m sorry...” “You better be and next time you keep your yap shut and listen.” “Promise...” “I saw what happened. It was the Warlock and Peter that brought us here. They injected Jarred with wolfsbane to change him back. The council is busy with something and I’m worried. Really worried.” “Thanks for the info, Buddy, and as long as we are one, we will survive it.” “Guys Phantom said he could she Saruman and Peter taking us and that Jarred was injected with Wolfsbane and... he is worried.”
“So am I. The council is crossing borders here that they do not know the implications.” Prue said. “Hahaha, is that right, little witch? You will be very sorry for ever sitting you feet on our sacred ground and you will never see daylight again.” Peter said and stepped aside where two more hunters came out and opened the cage.
They had weapons of pure silver with them. They took out whips and whipped Jarred and me. Whipping harder and harder as we made no sounds, not wanting to give them more pleasure in what they were doing. After what felt like an internity, they turned their attention on the girls.
As soon as the first hit landed on Prue and Amy, we trashed around trying to break free and protect them. She was just a little girl. What the f**k was wrong with them? “Hey! Ya you, why don’t you take on someone your own size? I mean, come on, they are just girls.” I said while laughing at them and my laughter became deeper as Phantom came to the front with me. This is going to hurt.
They turned away from us, and I was relieved that they left the girls alone. They can do whatever they want to us, but they have to leave them alone. This time, they turned back to us with different whips. These have hooks on them, to rip our flesh open with every whip they gave. “You think you are so tough, little kitten?” “But don’t worry, we will make you scream like the trash you are.” Jarred and I sat up straight, bracing ourselves for what was coming.
They whipped us, to rip us apart and counting all the way they did. I could feel my flesh being ripped off and the blood running freely over my body. The smell was the worst thou, we could smell the silver burning our flesh hit after hit. It felt like it would never end and our energies were getting low as Phantom started half panting, half whining in my head. He couldn’t take it all anymore as he collapsed in my head and all the pain came onto me. As they came to thirty, I screamed through the pain, trying to get through this. “Elizabeth, you need to help us, Love.” I said through my mind and hope by some miracle she will get a feeling that something was wrong.
All the sudden they stopped and were looking very nervous at one another. Then I felt a pulled and when I looked again, we were in front of the council. We all collapsed on the ground still with our hands chained and I could see Elizabeth running towards us. I was relieved whatever happened; it saved us. Then I saw the strange men standing around. The one I could feel the power coming from him and it almost felt the same as Elizabeth’s energy.
At first glance, they looked like normal powerful people, but as my eyesight got better, I saw the surrounding glow. Two of them had a white glow and the scary one had a black glow, but not entirely black. It had white dots in it. It almost looked like star dust. “You really can not focus, can you?” “What am I missing, Phantom?” “Even in my weaken state I can see that they are ghost off old.” “Ghost off old?” “They are the first off all. You see, the two at the back?” “Yes.” “They are the first Hunters ever and the one that is so angry?” “Yes.” “Well, you can feel it. He is like Elizabeth and the one who created this place.”
What happened next was the first time I think this ever happened. As the one they call Rafael killed Peter right there in front of us. As far as my knowledge went, ghost can’t do that, they are not allowed. “I think this one has a little backup from down under.” “That must be one hell of a backup.” Phantom started growling as he neared Elizabeth and I heard him say that she needed to be careful and that not all can be trusted. “Phantom, I think this is far from over.” “I have the same feeling. We will have to keep our eyes and ears open. There is a lot of heat still to come.”
