Sunny Day

1810 Words
As the warm sunlight streamed through the windows, Avni slowly opened her eyes, feeling a sense of refreshment wash over her. She was lying on her sofa in the living room, where she had drifted off to sleep after a long, emotional day. She stretched her arms above her head, feeling the softness of the sofa cushions beneath her. The weight of the previous day's tension had lifted, and she felt invigorated, ready to tackle the new day with renewed energy. As she sat up, Avni's gaze fell upon her tidy but slightly cluttered living room. She smiled to herself, knowing that it was time to get her home in order. With a newfound sense of purpose, she began her Sunday routine, starting with the task of clearing out the clutter and tidying up her space. The soft hum of music filled the air as Avni worked, her movements efficient and deliberate as she put away books, dusted surfaces, and broomed the floors. The physical activity was therapeutic, helping to clear her mind and focus her thoughts. As the morning wore on, Avni's apartment began to transform, taking on a sense of calm and serenity. The air was filled with the sweet scent of fresh flowers, and the soft glow of sunlight illuminated the tidy spaces. Finally, with her home sparkling clean, Avni turned her attention to herself. She made her way to the bathroom, where she indulged in a long, relaxing bath, feeling the warm water soothe her muscles and calm her mind. As she lay there, surrounded by the peacefulness of her home, Avni felt a deep sense of contentment wash over her. Avni stepped out of her apartment, her long, dark hair tied back with a simple clip, a few loose strands framing her face. Her hair was still slightly damp from her morning bath, giving it a soft, tousled look. She was dressed in a comfortable salwar and a short, loose fitted kurti that accentuated her slender waist. A lightweight dupatta was draped casually over her shoulders, adding a touch of elegance to her simple outfit. Her feet were clad in worn-out slippers, and her face was free of any makeup, giving her a fresh, natural glow. As she walked through the market, Avni's eyes scanned the colorful array of fruits and vegetables on display. She moved with a quiet confidence, her movements economical and efficient, as she selected the freshest produce. Her gaze was intent, her brow furrowed in concentration, as she checked the quality of each item. It was then that Aayush saw her, his eyes drawn to her like a magnet. He had never seen her like this before, in her everyday clothes, without the formal trappings of their previous encounters. And yet, she looked more beautiful than ever, her natural charm and elegance shining through like a beacon. Aayush couldn't help but be struck by the simplicity and elegance of her beauty, and he felt his heart skip a beat as he watched her. As Avni continued to shop, Aayush found himself drawn to her, his eyes unable to tear themselves away from the sight of her. He admired the way she moved with a quiet purpose, the way her eyes sparkled with intelligence as she examined each item. He was struck by the simple, unassuming way she carried herself, her beauty shining through like a ray of sunlight. For a few moments, Aayush forgot to breathe, his heart caught in his throat as he gazed at Avni. He felt like he was seeing her for the first time, and he was struck by the realization that he had never truly appreciated her beauty before. As Avni reached for a bunch of fresh spinach, her eyes wandered across the market, and she caught sight of Aayush standing a short distance away, his eyes fixed intently on her. For a moment, she felt a flutter in her chest, a sense of happiness washing over her at the unexpected sight of him. She couldn't help but smile, and she waved at him, feeling a sense of warmth and connection. Aayush, lost in thought, was startled by Avni's wave, and he felt a jolt of excitement as he walked towards her. "Hey, good morning," Avni greeted him, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "Good morning," Aayush replied, his voice low and smooth. "For shopping?" Avni asked, her brow furrowed in curiosity. "Yeah, actually, I came out to buy some stuff for my studies," Aayush explained, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm. "My exams are going to start soon, so I need to get organized." Avni's face lit up with a sympathetic smile. "Oh, if you need any help with your studies, you can always ask me," she offered, her voice filled with kindness. Aayush's heart skipped a beat at her offer, and a sly thought crept into his mind - teaching him could be the perfect excuse to spend more time with her. He felt a surge of excitement at the prospect, and he couldn't help but smile. As they walked together through the market, gathering the things they needed, Avni and Aayush chatted and laughed, their conversation flowing easily. They moved in perfect sync, their steps matching as they navigated the crowded stalls. As they finished their shopping, Aayush turned to Avni with a hopeful expression. "Avni, can you help me with my studies?" he asked, his eyes locked on hers. Avni's face lit up with a warm smile. "Yeah, sure," she replied, her voice filled with encouragement. Aayush's heart skipped a beat as he asked his next question. "Can you come to my house to teach me?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with hope. For a moment, Avni hesitated, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her face. But then, she nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Ok," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Aayush's face lit up with a triumphant smile, and he felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of spending more time with Avni. "We'll start from today onwards," Aayush said, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. Avni's brow furrowed in surprise as she repeated, "From today?" Aayush nodded, his smile unwavering. "Yeah, in the evening," he said, his voice filled with excitement. Avni's mind was a whirlwind of confusion, but she found herself agreeing to Aayush's plan. "Ok," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Aayush's face lit up with a triumphant smile. "Be ready, I'll come to pick you up," he said, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. With a wave of his hand, he bid her farewell and walked away, leaving Avni to wonder if she had just made a mistake. As she walked back to her apartment, Avni's mind was filled with doubts and uncertainty. Had she been too hasty in agreeing to go to Aayush's house? What if it wasn't a good idea? What if she was putting herself in a situation that she might regret later? Avni walked into her apartment, the grocery bags rustling as she set them down on the kitchen platform. She took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her decision settling in. "Forget it, Avni," she murmured to herself, her voice barely above a whisper. "You've agreed, and now you can't step back." As she began to put away the groceries, Avni's mind started to wander to all the potential consequences of her decision. What if people thought she was that type of girl - the kind who would go to a guy's house alone? What if they assumed she was easy, or that she was looking for something more than just a tutoring session? Avni's thoughts were filled with anxiety and self-doubt. She could almost hear the whispers of gossip and the weight of societal judgment. She imagined the raised eyebrows, the knowing glances, and the whispered conversations that would surely follow if anyone found out. Her anxiety growing with each passing moment. "What if they assume the worst about me? What if I'm judged and labeled without anyone even knowing the truth?" Despite her doubts, Avni knew she had to push on. She couldn't let the opinions of others dictate her decisions, not when she had already given her word to Aayush. With a sense of determination, she continued with her chores, her movements mechanical as her mind remained preoccupied with the weight of societal expectations. Avni stood in front of the mirror, her hands moving mechanically as she smoothed out her messy hair and tied it up with a simple clip. She was nervous, her stomach twisted into knots as she thought about what she was about to do. But she took a deep breath and pushed aside her doubts, telling herself that she had already made up her mind. She slipped on her regular clothes, the familiar fabric a comforting presence as she made her way downstairs. As she waited near the bus stop, her eyes scanned the horizon for any sign of Aayush. She was still worried, her mind racing with all the what-ifs and maybes. But as she saw Aayush walking towards her, a warm smile spreading across his face, her worries momentarily faded away. Avni's face broke out into a smile as she returned Aayush's greeting. For a moment, she forgot about her doubts and her fears, and all she could see was the kind and gentle person standing in front of her. "Let's go," Aayush said, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. As they walked beside each other, Avni couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She was aware of Aayush's eyes on her, and she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. But when Aayush said "Don't worry," his voice low and soothing. She gave him a side-eye, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Shut up, I know you're not like others," she said, her voice teasing. Aayush started laughing, and Avni couldn't help but join in, her laughter echoing through the air. As they turned a corner, Avni's eyes widened in surprise. Aayush's house was a big, beautiful bungalow, with servants moving about the grounds, tending to the plants and watering the lawn. There were cars and bikes parked outside, and a guard stood at the gate, his eyes watchful. Avni's eyes were wide with wonder as she turned to Aayush. "Aayush, your house is so big," she exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper. Aayush smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Come inside," he said, his voice low and inviting. Avni had never seen Aayush show off his wealth before. But as she looked around at the opulent surroundings, she realized that Aayush's simplicity was just a part of who he was. He didn't need to flaunt his wealth to prove himself, and Avni found herself admiring him even more for it.
