Karic swung himself onto Thunder as soon as the stable boy handed the reins to him. Jacob followed behind him with a few soldiers that were in the castle standing guard.
“I sent words to the soldiers’ quarters the army will follow us soon,” he said riding along with him. They rode out of the gates, and Karic thought that he will see his father just then, but there was no sign of him.
